Cant remove songs from my iphone...

Hi
I have 2 itunes accounts.  One from when i was living in Australia and my new one as i've moved to the USA.
With the latest IOS upgrade to my phone,  songs re-downloaded to my phone,  and i cant remove them.
This is annoying as ****!   Especially when i hook my phone up to the car to listen to music.
The songs that i cannot remove all have the cloud icon,  i've tried logging into itunes under both accounts to nuke them but the songs in question do not appear under any login.
I am getting so close to going out and buying a standard MP3 player to use for the car instead of the iphone.  Something so simple as deleting songs you no longer want to listen too should not be so freaking hard!!
help would be appreciated...

And apparently not doing so.
Instead of reducing, you have told iTunes to sync additional content to the device.
Connect the device to the computer.
Open iTunes and select what you want to sync.
Sync the device.

  • Cant remove music from my iphone

I cant remove music from my iphone. I have tried de-selecting the sync all music from itunes and it removes all music except 27 songs that are not even songs I have put on my phone. They are from my wifes library. I assume they were added through the cloud. I have turned off all cloud options but still cant remove the 27 songs. Anyone have any ideas?

I have also tried using the touch and swipe method with no luck. I have tried selecting and de-selecting the manually manage music and videos option with no luck. I have read a post that someone resolved this by restoring the phone but I have text messages that I need so I was hoping there was another way to fix this issue.

    Hi asims01,
    Welcome to the Support Communities!
The information below may be able to answer your questions about how to delete songs from your iPhone:
Deleting songs downloaded to your device
    Tap the Music app.
Tap More > Songs at the bottom.
Scroll or search for the song you would like to delete from your device.
Swipe right to left on the song, and then tap Delete.
Note: You must be in Artists, Songs, or Albums view to delete songs from your device. Deleting from a playlist won't remove a song from your iOS device.
Also, this information can be found on page 64 of the iPhone User Guide for iOS 7
    http://manuals.info.apple.com/MANUALS/1000/MA1565/en_US/iphone_user_guide.pdf
Remove a song from iPhone. Tap Songs, swipe the song, then tap Delete. The song is deleted from iPhone, but not from your iTunes library on your Mac or PC, or from iCloud.
If you have iOS 7, this will delete the song from local storage, but the song will still appear with a cloud symbol in the Music app, as you've noticed. To hide the iTunes in the Cloud purchases, navigate to Settings > iTunes & App Store, and disable "Show All: Music”
There may be a few orphaned songs on your iPhone that were partially downloaded or corrupted in some way. If that is the case, you can erase all of the music from your phone.  Follow the instructions below and select the Music app under Usage:

I hope this information helps ....

  • How can I remove songs from my iphone but they still stay in my library

I have set up my music to sync only checked items, however, all the songs are still on my iphone.  I only want certain songs on my phone, but it still shows several songs that I have not checked off.  How do I remove songs from my iphone but they still will stay in my library.

What you need to do is go to music, and slide your finger to the right on the song you want to remove from your device. The song will still show in the music app but will have a cloud with an arrow beside it and you would have to re-download the song to your device to be able to listen to it. And also, this will only take the song off your device and it won't be removed from your library on iTunes. I hope this helps!

  • How do I add and remove songs from my iPhone through iTunes.

I'm sure it seems pathetically simple if you know how to do it, but I've just spent too much time trying to figure out how to remove songs from my music player on my iPhone.

Open itunes, connect iphone, select what you want, sync.

  • Removing songs from my iPhone through itunes doesn't effect songs on the iphone.

    Tricky to explain:
With my iphone 4 plugged into my mac via usb, I have been attempting to remove songs and replace them with others. I can add songs no problem, but the songs i remove on itunes remain on my phone. Now when viewing "on this phone" through itunes all the songs appear deleted, and in the summary tab the storage use has changed appropriatley but these changes are not relefected by the phone in the itunes app.
I have tried restoring my iPhone, it has proved fruitless.
Can anyone tell me what is causing this?
    Thank You

  • I cant delete songs from my iPhone

I have songs on my iPhone that I cant delete. I have tried unchecking them everywhere in my library, checking the Sync only checked songs, etc, I've tried to delete them by hand on my phone. Its as if they are a corrupted version of the song and stuck in my phone. Ive downloaded my music a dozen times trying to get these songs off and they always are there. They arent even whole albums, just one or two songs form an album. Ive checked the manually manage music button, Ive searched for duplicates in my library and Ive run out of ideas.
    What is the problem here?

Thank you for the suggestions. In response to the playlist possibility, I don't have a playlist made. I intentionally deleted it thinking that might be the problem.
As far as swiping the songs to delete them, I was able to delete the majority of the ones I didn't want by doing this. But these particular ones will not delete by swiping to the left. If I try that they will begin to play.

  • How do I remove songs from my iPhone?

I have read everything I can find on line, none of them work,  The songs are not checked or selected to sync and they are not in a playlist or genre that syncs.  I have even tried deleting them from my iTunes library, but they are still in the cloud and still appear on my phone.  Can anybody help me?

MY point is there is a much simpler way of explaining and doing this.
Which I did, and you're welcome.
As I stated earlier, this depends on if you are SYNCING music with Sync Music selected under the Music tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes, or if you are MANUALLY managing music with Manually manage music and videos selected under the Summary tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes.
Like I stated earlier, I originally followed the directions above it it didn't work. AND I wasn't manually doing it. I was doing your SYNCING.
More than likely due to PEBKAC.
I ended up having to do it manually because the directions above were not correct.
You can do one or the other with an iPhone, not both at the same time, and when switching from one to the other all iTunes content on your iPhone will be erased first.
I in no way, shape or form said this is the case with everybody.
Which is why I provided the correct and CLEAR answer. This depends on which option you have chosen - your MANUALLY manage music and videos, or syncing. As I stated previously.
It is very much true if you are SYNCING music with Sync Music selected under the Music two for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes.
If you are manually managing music and video with your iPhone with this selected under the Summary tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes you can manually delete music from your iPhone under Devices in the iTunes source list.

  • Cant delete itunes songs from my iphone

my itunes songs have maxed out my storage and need to know how to delete from iphone4

    Howdy lynndan,
You can remove songs from your iPhone by swiping the song, then tapping 'Delete.'
Remove a song from iPhone. Tap Songs, swipe the song, then tap Delete. The song is deleted from iPhone, but not from your iTunes library on your Mac or PC, or from iCloud.

  • Removed songs from iTunes or iPhone keep syncing - where are they and how to permanently stop syncing?

I have about 26 songs that were purchased from iTunes that continually sync from iTunes to my iPhone.  I have removed them from my phone and have removed through iTunes, but every time I sync my phone with iTunes they come back.
I have "manually managed" (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1535) my iPhone and have removed from the "On this iPhone" section in iTunes and that works great.  However, if I try to sync a playlist the playlist syncs, but then the 26 songs I just remove return and are put back on my iPhone.
On my iPhone I have Settings > iTunes & App Store > Automatic Downloads > Music set to Off.  I have Settings > iTunes & App Store > Show All > Music set to Off.
On my iTunes, in the iPhone section, I have under the Music section "Sync Music" checked and only one playlist selected with about 49 songs in it.
I have tried deleting those unwanted 26 songs from my iPhone (http://helpios7.com/remove-songs/) and then syncing.  The 26 songs return.
I am out of ideas -- is there some iCloud connection/setting that is thinking those 26 songs need to be synced to my iPhone?
I guess my question is - why can't I just sync the one playlist without having these "rogue" 26 songs keep syncing/reappearing?
    Thanks for you help!

Go into Settings > Music and there should be an option to "Show all music" all that is needed is for it to be turned off, then only music on your phone is displayed.

  • How can I remove individual songs from my iphone 5?

How can I remove individual songs from my iphone 5? Right now, all 2013 songs are syncing. I thought that unchecking the songs in the main itunes playlist would remove them form all devices. Apparently this does not work. Under the uphone 5 sync menu there are no selections for individual songs... only groups of songs. Am I missing something?

I just create a playlist and sync only this playlist.
Then just add/remove from this playlist and sync.
Unchecking songs does other thing such as not playing them in iTunes, not syncing them to other devices and not applying changes

  • How do I remove select songs from my iPhone?

I am trying to delete select songs/albums from my iPhone since it is almost over capacity. Apple doesn;t seem to want to make this an easy task... There are songs I simply don't want anymore, and can't seem to remove them from my iPhone 4...

Yes, you can delete individual song in a playlist.
In playlist, tap Edit button (top left), tap on the left of song, tap red Delete button.

  • How do i remove mp3 songs from my iphone?

how do i remove all the mp3 songs from my iphone?

If you have many songs, the easiest way is to remove them from iTunes on your computer and then synch your iPhone.  Otherwise, you can remove them one by one on your iPhone by going into the Songs section under Music on your iPhone and swiping left to right, which causes a "Delete" box to show up.  You then confirm the delete.
