Cant reopen any projects in Premiere Pro CS6

I can not reopen any of my projects created in Premiere Pro CS6. There is a mesage that says "media offline" or "can't locate media"

So when I right click on the clips and chose "link media" this is the message I get :

Saving Project Problem - Premiere Pro CS6

Hi I have a project created on CS6 Premiere. We have run in to an issue now where it takes almost 30mins to save. It loads up very fast but saving is painfully slow. If autosave kicks in (now turned off) it makes it unuseable throughout this time. We have tried creating a new project and importing in the data from the exsiting one still no joy. Tried the same on our CC Machine and still the same. Any help with this would be appreciated. The project file stands at 28mb in size, have we run in to a size threshold. Ideally we want all the sequences to be in one project but if this is causing too much of an issue I guess we will have to split it. Either way it does seem very odd that whilst it loads the data quickly in to actually save it out takes too long.

Check both the screen shots.
Close all the timeline, highlight project panel and then export.

Premiere Elements Project file wount open in Premiere Pro CS6

My friend Just bought Premiere elements 13 and created a Project. I cant open the Project in Premiere Pro CS6. Getting this error message:
"The Project appears to be damaged, it cannot be opened."
The Project workes fine in Premiere Elements 13
What can I do? What is wrong?

If you have done this:
Import a Premiere Elements project (Windows only)
   Select File > Open Project.
   Browse to an Adobe Premiere Elements project file, with file extension PREL.
   Click Open.
Premiere Pro converts the Premiere Elements project file to a Premiere Pro project file.
and it wont work Elements 13 is probably too new for CS6.

Premiere Pro CS6 saying need 3rd party components when opening CS5.5 project

I am trying to open my current Premiere Pro CS 5.5 project within Premiere Pro CS6, but am getting the following error message:
The preset used by one or more sequences requires third party components that could not be located.
This was a project that was imported from Final Cut Pro 7 originally, but the only 3rd party stuff used in it are Magic Bullet Suite plug ins and I have already installed them all.
I can't even see if this project has CUDA acceleration anymore, as it is set to Custom Sequence and greyed out.
Any ideas what I can do?

Let it create the custom sequence and see how things are. This might not be a problem.

Premiere Pro CS6, large project file size - crashing etc

Working on a project in Premiere Pro CS6 - also incorporating after effects and using 2 external plugins (Beauty Box and Factory Pro FX). Project is over 500MB, lots of comps, titles etc. project seems to be corrupt on my machine. .The project crashes continually. I cannot save my work, I cannot export, I cannot create XML and media is linking incorrectly. When I pull the project in on my laptop (separate machine) which has CC 2014 running, the project is FINE. That said - I need to work off of the more powerful machine to do this job - so need to find a way to troubleshoot. Note - project opens on my partner's machine, she can save + export, etc - however the media in still linking incorrectly on her machine as well (note partner does not have the 2 plugins, beauty box and factory Pro FX) - that said, it still links to the wrong media.
We have worked out a work-arond where we pull all of the AE sequences out of Premiere and into separate AE project which has made the project workable again but we know something is WRONG and we need to fix for future ASAP.

How to link premiere pro cs6 to after effects cc?

I've been working on a project on premiere pro cs6 and linked some clips to after effects cs6. After upgrading my laptop's software to Yosemite after effects cs6 wouldn't work and I could't open the linked clips neither on the premiere pro preview, nor on after effects cc.

Dynamic Link only works between the same versions.

Playback Lag in Premiere Pro CS6 for Mac

I'm editing a project in Premiere Pro CS6 for Mac, and the playback is really laggy. Its fine if you're viewing one long clip, but it gets really laggy when it switches between clips. The sound will play, but the playback screen will be frozen on the last frame from the previous clip. I use the latest thin model of the iMac. Can anybody help me?

Premiere Pro CS6 - Project frame won't retain its layout or location between opening and closing?

I filed this as a bug, but perhaps I'm thinking through this wrong and would like to seek help.
I'm finding that the Project frame in Premiere Pro CS6 does not retain its layout between opening and closings.
Here's what I do:
1) Open a project.
2) Create several bins and populate them with media. Expand the contents of a bin by clicking the disclosure triangle to the left of the folder.
3) Undock the Project frame only.
4) Close the Project frame with Command-W
5) Use ****-1 to reopen the Project frame.
Repeat steps 4 and 5. The result is that the Project frame does not remember which bin was open. Furstratingly, it also does not retain which bins were expanded or collapsed.
And worst of all, it will also open in random areas of the screen. (The expected result is that it would reopen in the same spot of the desktop where you last closed it, no?)
I'm a big organizer -- tons of footage across many different bins. I open bins, close them, keep some open, close others... easily dozens or hundreds of times during an edit session. I'm beginnging to feel like I'm swatting flies or playing whack-a-mole just to get my bin views correct!
Or mm I approaching this wrong?

But really, the real solution for me was to not update Premiere Pro CS6 after a reinstall. The most recent updates just do not like my computer, I guess.

How to work on a portion of a larger Premiere Pro CS6 project on another computer?

I have a very large Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 project that I'm working on at home. While I'm gone for the holidays, I'd like to take a small portion of that project (whole project is 6tb and too large to take, so I'll take 1tb of it), work on it, and then return and reintergrate it into the larger project. Is there a way to do that?

I migrate Projects with external FW-800's all of the time. To ease working on those Projects, I locate all of my Scratch Disk, Same as Project, and everytihng is always there, and ready for use. I do give up a bit of ultimate performance with this configuration, but never have any issues.
One thing that I do for each external is to assign the same, unique drive letter to it in the OS of each computer. Have you done this? Does your RAID box come up with the same drive letter in each computer - always?
Good luck, and with migration between computers, you might want to relocate the Scratch Disks. Please let us know if that helps.

Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 Freezes/Stops Responding No Matter What I Do. Any ideas?

My Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 keeps freezing or not responding (pin wheel of death).
This problem started happening 3 weeks ago.
There is no one thing that triggers it, but it does seem to happen more often when trying to read my media from the media browser. Sometimes I get an application error report, and other times I don't.
This happens whether I start a new project, or work in an existing one.
I would appreciate any help the community can provide. I've tried just about everything I could find online from changing random system configurations like language to completely re-installing the software.
Please let me know if there is any additional information I can provide.

Premiere Pro CS6 crashes whenever I go near Project Settings

Hi all
I am using an official trial version of Premiere Pro CS6 as part of Creative Cloud. I am editing on my MacBook Pro 17" (newest model) with h.264 footage recorded on my Canon 550D.
Everything works fine, imports and edits like a dream. However, during editing, if I simply go to Project -> Project Settings -> General - then don't even change anything, just ok out of the dialog box then it crashes.
When I say crashes, the video disappears and I cannot do anything at all until I exit out and reboot. No messages appear until I do a 'force quit' and then I get the standard "A serious error has occurred" etc.
Of course the obvious solution is to not select Project Settings when editing! Which I will do for now, but I would like to think that I can change any settings I like without it crashing every time!
Any thoughts?

On reading the advice on a separate thread I updated OSX from 10.7.3 to 10.7.4 which seems to have fixed the problem. Probably should have checked that first!

Unable to open my Premiere Pro CS6 projects

Hi,
I am using Adobe Premiere PRO CS6 about two years. A few days ago i tried to open a project i createt half a year ago but was not able to. I got alway the error message Premiere Pro has encountered an error.
when i click to continue appears the message that the project could not be loaded beacuse its maybe dameged or contains old elements.
So what I tried,
-     Reinstall Adobe premiere Pro CS6 (deleted all files and settings before)
-      create an other User on the computer to be sure its not the user profile
-     installed Premiere on a virutal machine
-      open an other project from autosave
     always the same error
than I created a new project worked for about one hour on it. after saving closed the project => next day continued with the work on that file saved again, an since today that file is also not working any more same error as on the other fiel. The old file (saved after first day) is still working.
I hope you can help me with that issue, in about a month I will have to make a bigger project and if Im not sure that premiere is working correct i might loose a lot of time.

Which Premiere Pro (CS6) project settings should I be using?

I am currently trying to use Premiere Pro CS6 to edit a Skype video call I recorded using Super Tintin, and I'm not sure what project settings I should l be using.
At the moment I am selecting HDV/HDV1080i25 (50i) when I set up the project, but when I come to add the video file to the project timeline, I am told that the file settings do not match the sequence settings and I am prompted to either change the settings, or keep the existing ones.
When I select 'keep existing settings' the video appears in a very small box in the centre of a large black screen, which obviously isn't what I'm looking for. When I select 'change sequence settings', however, the video fills the screen, which is great, but the video and audio are out of synch (when I play the file outside of CS6, they are in synch). Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
If it helps, here is some info regarding the file I'm currently working with:
MP4, 9MB
Frame width: 320
Frame height: 240
Frame rate: 14 frames/second
Data rate: 529 kbps
Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated! Many thanks.

Select a New Sequence
Select any preset in a folder Mobile & Devices
go to the Setting tab
Set the parameters of the video and audio to your video file appropriately.
Save the preset under any convenient name.
create a sequence based on your preset.
Enjoy.
