Cant reset my apple id password

Cant reset my apple id password (my kids have realised what it is) - dont know answers to security questions so have selected option to receive instructions via email but am not receiving email from apple ( email address is correct on id) Please Help before my kids cause my bankrupcy!

I cant reset my Apple ID password

I am quite a frustrating situation.
Lately, when i tried to log in using my old apple id, i needed to reset my password. The problem with this is that the account was made years ago and the answers to my security questions are unknown to me. Also recently, I have changed my internet provider to comcast which has disabled my email adress ([email protected]). Therefore, i am left with no more options.
I have downloaded countless expensive apps and I would like to update some existing ones so I ask, short of calling tech support, is there a way to create a new password for my apple id?
P.S. I apologize if i am in the incorrect sub category, I am only on this forum to get help.

Sorry 00x there isn't any diffrent way.you have to report your problem by going to itunes support and create a case . The genius guy from apple will ask you some important information that is registered on your account . e.x the 4 last digits of your credit card . Your birthday etc. If the information that you gave match with the info that is registered in your account the apple guy will unlock your account. Goodluck mate !

Resetting Password
1. Shut down comp & wait a few minutes.
2. Turn on & at the same time hold down the “command” & “R” keys.
3. Next screen….. In the menu bar click on Utilities (NOT OS X UTILITIES)
4. In the drop down menu, click on Terminal.
5. In the terminal pop up small window: Type exactly—> resetpassword
Hit return key.
6. Reset password window will pop up. Follow the onscreen instructions to reset password. Make sure you select the admin account to reset the password.
7. You can ignore the “keychain” pop up windows, which is what I did. Does not affect anything.
You can do the keychain stuff at your leisure.
8. Quit out of everything & restart your computer.
9. Enter your new reset password.
Once you are back on the desktop, you can go into System Preferences>Users & Groups. Double check to make sure auto login is enabled.

If you have AppleCare & same is still active, suggest that you call Apple Customer Relations - 1-800-275-2273. Ask politely & firmly that you want to be transferred to Customer Relations. Tell them exactly what you stated in your post.
Be sure to tell them that you have an iMac. Why? Because, under AppleCare, iMacs qualify for HOME tech repair/support when warranted. No need to lug an iMac to a repair facility.

Exactly! The password I used to log on here and write my post I figured was the same Apple ID password I would use to reset my computer login password. But my computer isn't recognizing it as the correct password so it wont let me update my login password. I have 2 user accounts on my computer.
As far as the link you provided, I already looked to that for help earlier. It states:

I did these steps, but I don't remember my admin password. The question is: How do I reset my admin password so I can reset my log in password.

If you cannot remember your security questions for your Apple ID, I would recommend these steps outlined in the article named:

Try answering them at least once to see if you can get them right, even if you are not sure you remember the answers to your security questions.
If you are confident you can't remember them, try one of the following:

You cannot and need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include clicking here and picking a method for your country, phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, and filling out and submitting this form.

Assuming this is an iCloud mail account, sign out of iCloud in its preference pane, then sign back in with the new password.

Can't get iMessage to activate after resetting my Apple ID password.

After having trouble signing into iMessage on Mountain Lion on my Mac Mini, it was suggested to reset my Apple ID password. After doing that, I re-entered my password everywhere on my iPhone. But now, my iMessage and Facetime on the phone won't activate. It stays on "Waiting for Activation" for about half a day and then says that activation was not successful.
I went through all the other related threads, and check Settings > Phone to make sure my number is showing, I fiddled with the Date and Time settings. I even updated to iOS 6.0.1. Nothing seems to work, and I genuinely don't want to reset my phone. Is there any way to resolve this issue?

I deactivated iMessage on my mac completely and retried and still have the same problem. I then decided to place the phone in DFU mode and restore iOS 6.0.1 from the IPSW. After restoring from iCloud, iMessage is still stuck on "Waiting for Activation"
I did find something interesting though. I opened Xcode > Organizer and viewed the phone's console. When switching iMessage on, the following is displayed in the log:
