Cant restore the backup, got encrypted and password, but
since i encrypted the backup, itunes ask to enter the password before restore.
then i enter the right password, iphone screen show me it's in restoring.
But after just a few minutes, iphone auto restart itself, and go into normal standby screen. But the itunes still show me a loading window, from this window, i can know the restore process haven't start yet.because the loading bar is still waving and don't have a percentage bar. And in the iphone nothing have been restored. only the new backup was set in encrypted.

I am having the same issue. I can't turn off encryption, and no password that I try works at all! How do we recover the password or turn encryption off without it???

You can try to figure out which Apple ID/email address and/or password you used to activate it by going to http://iforgot.apple.com
If you can't, you'll need to contact Apple Account Security with your proof of purchase. -
I am unable to connect to my RackSpace Windows Server via ARD. I have added a computer entering the ip address, username, and password but I can't establish a connection. I am missing a setting or to step that is different in ARD?
ARD only works with Windows computers if the Windows computer is running VNC server software. Even then it can only control and observe. Do you have this installed?

If you cannot get the previous owner (who may not be the seller) to release it the phone is useless; return it to the seller.
Normally someone releasing an iPhone for resale will erase their personal data first (for obvious reasons). To do this they must release Activation Lock. So the previous owner either forgot to do this (unlikely) or the phone was stolen from them. If it was stolen then you are in possession of stolen property, which in itself is a crime, even if you didn't know it was stolen.
There are a few ways to find out who the phone is still locked to. You can try contacting them, but if the phone WAS stolen the outcome will not be a good one. So the best thing you can do now is return the phone for a refund. -
I have tried to change the smtp username and password but I am not able to even click on the areas to change them. Any suggestions?

Are you sure there's not an issue on the Yahoo server? Have you checked your email on a computer or via a web browser on the iPad like Safari?
If there is no issues on the server side, the options in my mind are.....
Delete the email account and start over
Reset all settings>Settings>General>ResetAll Settings - you erase all settings on the iPad and start over
Restore from a backup.
Just wait until a little later - or tomorrow and see if you can connect again.
If you just started experiencing this issue today, and if you are a regular iPad backup person (I do it every single day) then you can restore from a backup from yesterday, the day before or from whenever your most recent backup is dated.
You said that you have two other accounts that will not work either so maybe resetting the settings would be the first thing to try. You should be able to at least enter the correct information again if you reset the settings.
I mysteriously lost the ability to connect with one of my email accounts some months ago. I deleted the account and went nuts trying to add it back to the device and I could not get it to work again. I deleted it again and restored from my backup and all was good to go again. Your backups contain your email settings so when I restored from the backup, it restored the email account settings and it worked again. -
Will ALL computer's home sharing show up on the "computer's" main menu on the Apple TV screen, and if so, can I switch between computers while they are using the "home share" feature?
This should not be a problem, I have a mix of Apple & PC libraries on the ATV.
Looks like you have another issue going on there, perhaps one of your computers is going to sleep or something. -

I believe it is asking for the passcode you use for the screen lock on the phone.

Only one instance can be run on the network at one time. I repeat that each user that logs on uses the same user name and password but on different computers.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode. -

iOS 7 has an antitheft feature. A stolen phone can NEVER be used again, except by the original owner or with the authorization of the original owner. If you bought a stolen phone that was your mistake; get your money back. While it's possible that the seller "forgot" their password, that is an easily corrected problem. In most countries knowingly possessing stolen property is a crime. Even if you don't know it is stolen, it can be taken from you and returned to the rightful owner.
If it really wasn't stolen, and it was an honest mistake on the part of the seller, the seller can easily correct the mistake and authorize your activation of the phone. -

After a HD failure on my 2009 iMac,, fittgyed new oner, installedf os (tiger), from original disk, restored all documents etc. changed password with disk utility. over 48 hrs re3setting permissions so switched off. all seemed ok. downloaded combined os updates. Now my password does not work. tried rersetting, no go. Terminal does not have rest password on.

I have updated up my ipad2 which had the original version on it (4.??) to the latest version of IOS. Before I did this I backed up the ipad to my laptop so I wouldnt lose precious pics and videos of my baby boy. Now that the latest version is on the ipad it is now asking me if I want to start as a new ipad or restore my backup from itunes. So i select restore my backup from itunes and connect to itunes but it now says there is not enough space to do so. I have a feeling it is because there are alot of pics on our ipad which i presume are all in this backup, many of which we do not need on the ipad anymore but I have no idea on how I go about deleting these pics?? And how do I find where on my laptop this backup is and most importantly the video and pics of my baby boy.
Restoring an iPad from an iTunes-generated backup should not require an Apple ID password.
Did you encrypt the iPad backup? If so, then trying to restore will require entering the encryption password. -
i have restored my ipad now it wont restore the backup i did because it is asking for a password that it never asked for when i did the backup, WHY and how do i now get all my stuff back on it
Any chance you encrypted your previous backup? It's a checkbox on the Summary tab of the device in iTunes.
