Cant resume/restart download Mac OS X Lion after purchase

Cant resume/restart download Mac OS X Lion after purchase and it is not in the purchased list

OS X Lion 10.7.2
"Resume" - does not go off or configure this feature in (System Preferences / General / Images of recent objects ...) The problem is that the "Resume" eats a lot of memory because it is impossible to work a "nightmare." Bring quality and performance that has been in OS X Snow Leopard!!!
Earlier OS X was perfect in everything, but now? Return to its former glory and do not let the unfinished product on the market or you will lose your reputation in the world. Steve Jobs had died he would put things in order.

I purchased and install MAC from app store. How do I download Mac OS X lion that I purchased?, I purchased and install MAC from app store. How do I download Mac OS X lion that I purchased?

    kelvin,
Here is how you re-download OS X Lion from the App Store and save the InstallESD.dmg file and burn to either a DVD or USB thumb drive.
Use the machine OS X Lion is installed on.
    Open App Store. Sign in.
Press and hold your OPTION key; then click on Purchases at the top of the App Store screen.
Under your purchase, look to the right of 'OS X Lion'. If Step 3 worked, the button on the right should say Install and let you click it.
Click Install. Let the download finish.
When you see the window open for installing the download, open FINDER, navigate to Applications and you should see the OS X Lion Installation App.
Right click on the OS X Lion Installation App and select Show Package Contents.
Navigate to the SharedSupport folder. You should see a filename of InstallESD.dmg.
Copy the InstallESD.dmg to your desktop
Close the window that's waiting for you to install OS X Lion. It's not needed anymore.
    Burn to DVD
Launch Disk Utility and click the Burn button
Select the InstallESD.dmg file from your desktop as the image to burn. Insert a blank DVD and wait for the the image to be burned.
Burn to a bootable USB thumb drive.
Open Disk Utility and drag the InstallESD.dmg file to the left side pane. Go to the Partition tab ad select 1 Partition from the drop down menu. Choose Mac OS Extended (Journaled) on the left. Click the Options button under the partition table and choose GUID Partition Table. You will need this to make the drive bootable on a Mac. Hit the Apply button when ready to format the drive (it will erase everything on the drive).
Click on the Restore tab and drag the InstallESD.dmg file to the Source. Drag the USB partition to the Destination. Hit the Restore button and it will create the bootable USB drive with the OS X Lion installer.

  • Is MAC OS X v10.6.8 same as MAC OS X Snow Leopard. Since i want to download MAC OS X LION can it be downloaded on my mac which has MAC OS X v10.6.8 ??

Is MAC OS X v10.6.8 same as MAC OS X Snow Leopard. Since i want to download MAC OS X LION can it be downloaded on my mac which has MAC OS X v10.6.8 ??

Yes, assuming you can run Lion, & can deal with no more Save or Save As... functions...
    Lion/101.7 System requirements
        •    x86-64 processor (Macs with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Intel Core i3, Intel Core i5, Intel Core i7, or Xeon processor.)
        •    At least 2GB of memory, (I say 4GB)
        •    Latest version of Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6.8), with the Mac App Store installed
        •    At least 4GB of disk space for downloading, (I say 40GB at least)
Like Snow Leopard, Lion does not support PowerPC-based Macs (e.g., Power Macs, PowerBooks, iBooks, iMacs (G3-G5), eMacs).
Lion also does not support 32-bit Intel Core Duo or Core Solo based Macs. Rosetta is no longer available in Lion, which means Lion no longer supports PowerPC applications.

  • Itunes wont work after downloading mac os x lion

After I downloaded Mac OS X lion/10.7 and iTunes 10.4 iTunes wont open it pops up a window saying check with developer to make sure this version of Mac OS X supports iTunes. please help

How can I find out how old my Office:mac program is? It cost $149.99 at the Apple Store. I think it's only 3 years old. So Apple wants to kill Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.? Fine, a fair warning would be appropriate. I would not have "upgraded" if I knew $29 was really that plus upgrading everything else.
That's totally unlike Apple to not be able to access common documents when doing an upgrade.
Get real! Word and Excel can't be accessed by Lion?!?!  I just want to work on my daughter's homework...
    What a pussycat.

Download again, move the existing file out of the applications folder first.

  • TA48312 Have Mac OS X Leopard (10.5.8) and would like download Mac OS X Lion

Hi, would like to download Mac OS X Lion and I have still Mac OS X Leopard (10.5.8)
Can I download online the new System?

The first step in Upgrading... is to Snow Leopard = OS X 10.6.x
It is Not available as a download... It is a Paid Upgrade.
    Do this first...
Check that your Mac meets the System Requirements for Snow Leopard...
    Snow Leopard Tech Specs
    http://support.apple.com/kb/SP575
If so... Purchase a Snow Leopard Install Disc...
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573Z/A/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard
    Other countries...
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57
After the Successful Install, run Software Update to get the latest updates for Snow Leopard.
Be sure to make a Backup of your Current System Before Upgrading...

  • If i restore my mac with my already downloaded Mac OS x Lion, Does it delete my current files?

    I recently purchased a MacBook Pro 13", i7, 2.7gHz
A few days ago i restarted my macbook, All that came up was a Blank white screen.
When i go into recovery, the recover option are to use the installation cd, which i do not have(they set it up in the shop), To re-install mac OS x Lion or to back up my files with time travel.
I am wondering if i choose to re-install OS x Lion will it delete all my files and reset it to factory setting?
    Need a reply
    Thanks!

Reinstalling does not touch your files unless you first erase the hard drive.
    Reinstalling Lion Without the Installer
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alterhatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion: Select Reinstall Lion and click on the Continue button.
Note: You can also re-download the Lion installer by opening the App Store application. Hold down the OPTION key and click on the Purchases icon in the toolbar. You should now see an active Install button to the right of your Lion purchase entry. There are situations in which this will not work. For example, if you are already booted into the Lion you originally purchased with your Apple ID or if an instance of the Lion installer is located anywhere on your computer.

  • Where can i download mac os x lion?

I now have 10.6.8 and I can't seem to download/buy Mac OS X Lion anywhere on the Internet. Can somebody please set me in the right direction?

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
First, see if your Mac is compatible with Lion > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4949 If it's compatible, call Apple to purchase Lion > http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57
If your Mac is compatible with Mountain Lion, I recommend you to upgrade to Mountain Lion instead of Lion. See > http://www.apple.com/osx

  • Problems with downloaded Mac OS X Lion

I´ve just downloaded the Mac OS X Lion and i try to install it but the software could not be verified

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of this exercise is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. First, disconnect all wired peripherals except keyboard, mouse, and monitor, if applicable, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Be sure your Mac is shut down.
    Press the power button.
Immediately after you hear the startup tone, hold the Shift key. The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone, but not before the tone.
Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple icon and the progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear).
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including your login items.
Launch the application(s) and test. Same problem(s)?
After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode.)

  • I keep trying to re-download Mac OS X Lion to my Macbook, and repeatedly get this same error message

    https://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/587x575q90/r/661/KDyFSI.jpg
When I power on my Macbook it automatically takes me to the recovery screen where I am faced with four options. I click on the option to reinstall Mac OS X Lion. It prompts me to enter my Wifi information. I do so then it prompts me for my Apple e-mail and password. I enter this then it tries to connect to the server and I keep getting told “This item is temporarily unavailable, please try again later” message. I have been doing this for days, when exactly will later be? I regret ever buying anything Apple with all of the hoops they make you jump through to do the simplest of things. I just want to fix this I can rid myself of this machine. Thank you in advance.

  • Netflix Would Not Play on Mac OS X (Lion) After Upgrade

Netflix would not play on Mac OS X v10.7.5
After I upgraded to my older mac to Mac OS X Lion it would not play.
    MacBook 13-inch, Aluminum, Late 2008
    Software  Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 (11G63)
Processor 2.4 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo
    Memory 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
Graphics  NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256 MB
Netflix is stuck on the loading cue with the blue dot circling.
Spent hours on phone with Microsoft and Netflix, neither one was able to help me and told me to find help with Apple.
    Already tried:
    - Deleting ALL silverlight files/uninstall and reinstalling updated version 5 multiple times with restarting computer
    - Cleaning history/cache
    - Checked connectivity issues
    - Changed proxy/hardware settings on wifi connection
    - Check audio output/input settings
    - Tried Chrome and Safari - same issue.  Silverlight states that its not compatible with Firefox 17.
If anyone has any suggestions let me know.
    Thanks!

I have the same problem, Mac OS 10.7.4

  • Unable to download Mountain Lion after purchase in App store.

After purchasing Mountain Lion in App store, I have been unable to successfully download a copy.
It was not interrupted, it just stops.
Every attempt (including the first) fails at 142 MB, with the meaningless "unable to download" error. In the console log I find this:
7/31/13 2:32:56.894 PM storeagent: ISStoreURLOperation: Expected bytes (4437341116) did not match actual (142374555)! Setting error. (See 9215068)
indicating the error. The file was expected to be 4.4 GB (yes), but does not match actual 142 MB...?
I have found references to this error, but no real fix. I have tried every "fix" suggested; Safe boot, guest user login, deleting temp files, hidden files, app store files, debug mode in app store, repairing permissions, changing ethernet ports, changing DNS (loved that one), and others.
I finally erased the hard drive with zeroes, re-installed 10.7, software updated to 10.7.5 and immediately attempted download - it still fails.
I also have no virus software or little snitch, or anything else that would prevent downloads. I have been able to download free and purchased software from the app store (xcode, pages, ibooks author) - that are more than 142MB.
So this is not an ISP, modem, or some other thing preventing me from downloading using the app store. It is a problem *only* with downloading Mountain Lion.
This seems like an Apple problem. Anybody have a real fix?

Are you quite sure? Check your model identifier. If you have the first model released, then it cannot run anything past Lion. Be sure you meet ALL the requirements.
    Upgrading to Mavericks
You can upgrade to Mavericks from Lion or directly from Snow Leopard. Mavericks can be downloaded from the Mac App Store for FREE.
    Upgrading to Mavericks
To upgrade to Mavericks you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 or Lion installed. Download Mavericks from the App Store. Sign in using your Apple ID. Mavericks is free. The file is quite large, over 5 GBs, so allow some time to download. It would be preferable to use Ethernet because it is nearly four times faster than wireless.
        OS X Mavericks- System Requirements
Macs that can be upgraded to OS X Mavericks
             1. iMac (Mid 2007 or newer) - Model Identifier 7,1 or later
             2. MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer) - Model Identifier 5,1 or later
             3. MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             4. MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer) - Model Identifier 2,1 or later
             5. Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             6. Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             7. Xserve (Early 2009) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
To find the model identifier open System Profiler in the Utilities folder. It's displayed in the panel on the right.
         Are my applications compatible?
See App Compatibility Table - RoaringApps.

  • Unable to install Mac OS X Lion after resetting

I've got a secondhand Macbook Air that I've been trying to wipe the memory out of. I was successful in resetting it, but I had forgotten to update the system before resetting it. After resetting it, I tried installing Mac OS X Lion through Recovery. I've actually successfully been able to do this twice on two other computers, but for this one, no matter how many times I tried, the message "This item is currently unavailable" shows up right after signing into the app store.
I do not have a SuperDrive, and I don't have the CDs either.
    Thanks

That was quite dumb question, the RTFM issue
Booted from macintosh HD at startup & removed the windows installation.
