Cant save a rotated scan

I am starting a large project scanning hundreds of photos and saving them to files on my pc. When it comes to larger photos, I place them to fit lengthwise on the glass. When the scan is finished, and I view it on my pc, the image needs to be rotated. So I rotate it, maybe shrink it, then save as. Even when I replace the first scan the saved scan is still wrong...as if I had done nothing to it at all.
I know when viewing it I can always rotate it again but I would like to avoid that aggravation now at the beginning,

Hi,
Please try the following software, it will open image/photo files, you can rotate and save. The results will stay. This is also goot for printing, it shows you WYSIWYG and it's free.

Rotating Scans on Officejet 8600

I have an HP Officejet Pro 8600 that I am having trouble rotating scanned images. I am scanning a section from a manual, and due to the binding I have to rotate every other page. This means every other page is upside down. How can I rotate these up side down pages?
Each page is scanned into a seperate PDF file, so I only have to rotate the odd numbers. I'm not scanning a lot of pages, so I only have to rotate about 5 pages. If I rotate them within Adobe Reader and then Save As, they are still up side down. Hopefully others have already solved this problem.

Hi,
Acrobat reader only allows you to view, you can rotate view but you may not be able to save doument(s). Have you tries to use "Save as" ? I can't test on my machine now because my machine has Acrobat Professional X. If "Save as" doesn't work, please try the following product:

I'm not sure how to resolve this issue, please help me.

I kept getting this last week. Really annoying. I found this solution:
Remove (delete) ALL photos and videos from your iphone. Reboot it. Connect to your pc again.
This worked for me, however I've since taken some more pics and it doesn't sync again, so I'm not sure what permanent solution there is, although I've read lots of technical ones by googling it.

How can I save a rotated pdf file?

I have received a pdf file of many pages in landscape orientation that need to be saved in portrait orientation. I know how to rotate the file, but how can I save the rotated document?

Hello Laurie,
Unfortunately this does not work with Adobe Reader, but with Adobe Acrobat or similar programs (Google could be your friend ) BUT you could try Acrobat free for 30 days, if you'd like. See www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html for more information.

Cant save as AI but can as PDF

Using PC Windows XP Service Pack 3; CS5 Illustrator 15.1.0, 2gb Ram, 50gb Free HD space.
Opening an AI file sent from Japan, not sure of its PC or MAC (is there a way to find out).
All fonts are as outlines, images embedded.
After making a few simple changes (to the artboard, and turning off a layer with crops on) we find we then cant save the AI file, error along the lines of 'saving encountered a problem' we can replicate and post that error if needs be.
We are also trying to place a .PSD file whilst the original is in AI format, but we get memory errors, our Memory and available HD space all check out OK in Windows Task Manager as OK.
The workaround has been to save as a PDF, checking the 'Preserve Illustrator Editing Capabilities' in the Options dialogue - the file then saves and allows us to then work away as normal, saving at the end.
I also want to know if an 'Illustrator editable' PDF, with JPEG compression turned on for Images, do the images degrade (ie are read in, sampled and JPEG compressed) each time a PDF is opened and resaved.

1)Run the action called "Delete Unused Items"
2) Selct all, copy and paste into a new document
3) save as with PDF compatible off
Whether the image degrades depends on the settings of the PDF. Obviously if you go form high to low quality, they will degrade. Even if you save with the same compression level the image degrades.That amount is very small at max quality and you won't even notice the difference. Do for example 50 saves at low quality and you will notice a difference in images between original and final. The amount depends on resolution and type of image also play into the amount of loss (Hairlines - vs- fields of color, edges). A soft cloudy sky for exampel does not degrades as much as a shot of the golden gate bridge.

Thanks so much, I've been banging my head against the wall for several days now thinking, was it something I did, reinstalling like five times, getting chewed at by my supervisor because the project wasn't completed, etc.... and all along it was Shapeshifter. I cant save a pdf after editing it. My edits = mark up of text using yellow highlight marker.
the file downloaded from internet by doing saving as (in explorer that opened the pdf once cliced upon in the browser)
the file looks like an pdf in my organizer

I have the same problem. I have a PDF thats 1gb, and it hasnt been any problems saving it in the past, but now when i try to add other pdf-documents to it i cant save the file. Literally nothing happens when i press "save", or "save as".
I have tried to make a copy of the file and that doesnt help. Everything is "Allowed" when i check ctrl+d.
What can be wrong?

Location of Save Icon after Scan from HP 8600 to Mac

After scanning a doc from my HP 8600 via wifi to my Mac, I am prompted to save the doc by hitting the Save Icon. I cannot find the Save Icon. Where is it? I cannot find the scanned doc anywhere on my Mac. Suggestions please. Thank you.

What program are you using for scanning?
Are you scanning from the computer, or the printer?
What Mac OS X are you using? OS X: Finding your OS version and build information.

Cant save form PDF

I dont know if this is going to be a bit of a broad question, but we have some LiveCycle v8.0 developed forms which are distributed out to various people for completetion and sign-off. We have encountered an issue with one form that some people can and cant save. There seems to be no reasoning as some have the same version of Adobe Pro v8.0 on a variety of systems, be it Windows 2K or Vista. They are not able to save whether they have signed it or not. Those users also have managed to save other forms. Where is a starting point for me to look at what may be missing either in the form itself or their machines?
Appreciate any advice.

Yes you can turn on capability in Reader by Reader Extending it. There are two ways to Reader Extend your file. You can extend the file using LiveCycle Reader Extensions (this has the full set of extensions available) or you can use Acrobat which has a small subset of Reader Extensions (Local save and digitla signatures only).

Cant save down from CS4 to CS3

I'm having issues with my Illustrator CS4. It's recently stopped saving files down to CS3. Says "Can't Save File" when I try to save it down to CS3.

How do you save a jepeg scanned file to email it?

I scanned a document and the mac saved it as a jpeg file in photosmart utility (colorsync utility?). I could not email it as an attachment, and I could not save it as a different type of file. I could not copy the file to paste it as a word document. How do you save a jpeg scanned file to email it?

I scanned the document on an hp injet printer and it was all automatically done by the laptop. I didn't use image capture, that I know of. I don't know what that is, or how to utilize it to scan the pages. I scanned about 10 pages and they went into a folder called scanner output. I was able to attach that to the email, but then the email could not be sent. The email tries to send it, then after about 7-8 minutes I get a message that says:
"Sending the message content to the server failed.
Select a different outgoing mail server from the list below or click Try Later to leave the message in your Outbox until it can be delivered."
