Hello together,
i bought this App by the Mac App Store.
Bought it seems that i can't use everything. But Why ?
I bought by the App Store ?
Could somebody help me ?

If you bought it from the Mac App Store, you do not need a serial number, the MAS will look after that for you.
However if you had a demo version of iWork on your Mac before you installed the MAS version they may have clashed.
Get the MAS support to sort it out for you.

It can be found on a card within the box , there are usually two stickers (Self adhesive) to be attatched to the CD Pack or filed away for reference. It is not printed on the pack itself.

CS6 cant save the printer driver settings

Illustrator simply does not save any of the settings in the driver tabs (such as custom print sizes, paper tipe, source tray etc) unless I hit the Print button (e.g. I cant save those settings temporarily by pressing the Done button nor I can save a print presset for a later use), and that is a very very very annoying thing an it brings back some memories of the time I upgraded to CS and CS2 and the case then was even worse because it didnt save the printer driver settings even by printing and allways reverted to the default settings, and now I remember why I hate Adobe so much, because they never had a fix for that until CS3 came out.
That issue has been tested with XP 7 Vista both 32 and 64 (a lot of printer drivers) and it is not a single configuration problem, so please before asking some questions about the kind of the system and software etc do the following with your CS6 (or CS,CS2) and please tell me what happens. Choose File->Print and in the dialog choose whatever printer you have, press 'Setup...' button in the lower left corner, ignore the stupid prompt that some unknown Adobe genius tech invented, press Preferences button in the new Print window that pops up and in the printer driver UI window choose whatever setting you like that differs from the default setting, and then press Ok then Print and in the main Illustrator print dialog pres Done (but not Print if you are in CS6) button to close the dialog. Then open the Print dialog window again, navigate to the printer driver you just adjusted and please tell me what settings you have - those that you adjusted or the default settings. Thank you for the responceq Johny_07, unfortunately it solves the problem only if I have to specify the size of the media, but I need to specify the source tray, paper type and so on, parameters that are not present in the dialog box, and those are not remembered by Illustrator also. Do you experience that problem, I have allways wondered why there is no info concerning that problem, is it happening only with my instalations or it is a general program bug.

told me not compatible with win 8.1 .
but at under page write it is compatible with win 8.1 .
Why result is different?

If my HDD clear and i need full new install winodws 8, where i can find my Windows 8.1 serial number ?

Of course its Windows 8.1 upgradable and supported.
On the Windows 8.1 update supported models page you can find the Portege Z10T PT131V.

I recommend reading the user manual. There you can find info about Toshiba Recovery Media Creator.
The recovery media creator would allow you to create an Recovery disk. Such disk install the Toshiba image on the notebook again. The serial key is not necessary because the Windows 8 will be activated automatically using Toshiba image.

Cant save form PDF

I dont know if this is going to be a bit of a broad question, but we have some LiveCycle v8.0 developed forms which are distributed out to various people for completetion and sign-off. We have encountered an issue with one form that some people can and cant save. There seems to be no reasoning as some have the same version of Adobe Pro v8.0 on a variety of systems, be it Windows 2K or Vista. They are not able to save whether they have signed it or not. Those users also have managed to save other forms. Where is a starting point for me to look at what may be missing either in the form itself or their machines?
Appreciate any advice.

Yes you can turn on capability in Reader by Reader Extending it. There are two ways to Reader Extend your file. You can extend the file using LiveCycle Reader Extensions (this has the full set of extensions available) or you can use Acrobat which has a small subset of Reader Extensions (Local save and digitla signatures only).

It is possible the dialog has somehow positioned itself off-screen, and the problem described above (with too small vertical pixel count) isn't what you're experiencing, Sylvia.
Try File - Save As. Does Photoshop respond to any other operations, or does it seem "stuck" (i.e., you can't click on other menus and have them open)?
If it seems "stuck", try the following:
Press Alt - Spacebar.
Press M. Your mouse cursor should change to a 4-way arrow.
Press any arrow key (e.g., down arrow).
Your Save As dialog should show up where the mouse cursor is, and you can move it around.

That Bad Parameter error is likely telling you that the PDF you're trying to fill in is damaged/corrupted. Where did you get the PDF? And are you opening it in Reader or Acrobat (what versions?).

I kept getting this last week. Really annoying. I found this solution:
Remove (delete) ALL photos and videos from your iphone. Reboot it. Connect to your pc again.
This worked for me, however I've since taken some more pics and it doesn't sync again, so I'm not sure what permanent solution there is, although I've read lots of technical ones by googling it.

Cant save as AI but can as PDF

Using PC Windows XP Service Pack 3; CS5 Illustrator 15.1.0, 2gb Ram, 50gb Free HD space.
Opening an AI file sent from Japan, not sure of its PC or MAC (is there a way to find out).
All fonts are as outlines, images embedded.
After making a few simple changes (to the artboard, and turning off a layer with crops on) we find we then cant save the AI file, error along the lines of 'saving encountered a problem' we can replicate and post that error if needs be.
We are also trying to place a .PSD file whilst the original is in AI format, but we get memory errors, our Memory and available HD space all check out OK in Windows Task Manager as OK.
The workaround has been to save as a PDF, checking the 'Preserve Illustrator Editing Capabilities' in the Options dialogue - the file then saves and allows us to then work away as normal, saving at the end.
I also want to know if an 'Illustrator editable' PDF, with JPEG compression turned on for Images, do the images degrade (ie are read in, sampled and JPEG compressed) each time a PDF is opened and resaved.

1)Run the action called "Delete Unused Items"
2) Selct all, copy and paste into a new document
3) save as with PDF compatible off
Whether the image degrades depends on the settings of the PDF. Obviously if you go form high to low quality, they will degrade. Even if you save with the same compression level the image degrades.That amount is very small at max quality and you won't even notice the difference. Do for example 50 saves at low quality and you will notice a difference in images between original and final. The amount depends on resolution and type of image also play into the amount of loss (Hairlines - vs- fields of color, edges). A soft cloudy sky for exampel does not degrades as much as a shot of the golden gate bridge.

I cant save a pdf after editing it. My edits = mark up of text using yellow highlight marker.
the file downloaded from internet by doing saving as (in explorer that opened the pdf once cliced upon in the browser)
the file looks like an pdf in my organizer
use acrobat 9 pro

I have the same problem. I have a PDF thats 1gb, and it hasnt been any problems saving it in the past, but now when i try to add other pdf-documents to it i cant save the file. Literally nothing happens when i press "save", or "save as".
I have tried to make a copy of the file and that doesnt help. Everything is "Allowed" when i check ctrl+d.
What can be wrong?
