Cant see my mail message

I know there is a simple anwser to this but i cant find it . On my mail page I use to see the list of mail to the top and the one I had high lighted I would see on the bottom of the page. Well some thing happen and now I only see the list of mail unless i open in new window can someone tell me how to fix it back so i dont have to open a new window.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

*Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Outlook 2013 and exchange. Cant see new mail in subfolders.

In our company we have exchange 2010 with sp3 and all clients with windows 8.1 and Outlook 2013. Problem is that clients have problem with new messages in their mailboxes. they cant see new messages in subfolders. In Outlook 2010 everything worked fine,
and after migration to 2013 this problem started.
For example:
There is user mailbox. He have a lot of subfolders. All subfolders is for varies companies. So he created rules, then someone writes from campany, mail goes to its subfolder. Problem is that then user opens Outlook in the morning, he can't see that
new mails are arrived to those subfolders. User must open that subfolder and only then, inside that subfolder he can see unread message. But how user can know, that inside is unread mail? :) Sometimes everything works fine, and sometimes user can't see new
mails. Then he opens OWA, all new mails is marked as unread and there is number near subfolder with unread mail count.
And this problem repeats to all users. I updated exchange to SP3 update 6. Operating system and Outlook is up to date. Recreation of profile helps for a week or two (Or user do not notice problem), and after that user calls me again with the same problem.
And this happens not for one user but for all. Sometimes restarting Outlook helps, after restart number with unread mail count appears near subfolder. There is no addins or other changes in Outlook. Search folder is not a solution, because there is a lot of
subfolders, so it would be a mess.
Can you advice me? Where can be problem? Is it global for all users who are using exchange 2010 and Outlook 2013?

I tryed using search folder but this solution didnt helped. Then user opens Outlook he sees unread mail count near subfolder, and sum of unread mails in search
folder. But somefing happens and new mails does not appear neither in search folder neither near subfolders. But then client opens subfolder there are unread mails. In OWA everytime everything is OK. So user must check in OWA is there new mails and in which
subfolder, then he opens that subfolder in Outlook, and uhnread mail is here.
And another thing. Now one of clients have this problem. There is no count of new mails in subfolders, outlook does not show it, but OWA shows. In rules, client created few rules, near rules in action section,
there is icon, it looks like screwdriver and wrench, i went to propeties of those rules and removed "Stop processing more rules", and this icon disappeared. All rules updated to server, and after that, new messages counts appeared near few subfolders.
Is it possible that somehow this message count is combined with rules? Ant what does whis screwdriver and wrench icon means?

POP users cant see new mail on OSX 10.5 Server

Hi All,
I have just upgraded my 10.4 server to 10.5. I had to do a clean install due to some problems with the upgrade. My problem is, most of my POP3 users can not see any mail. The mail is being collected and can be accessed with the users login details via web mail. When the user login in using Outlook, it checks and finishes as if there is no new mail.
If the user reconfigures their mail client to IMAP is work just fine, but IMAP is not good for some of my users needs.
I found that there are no error messages at the user end, or on the server logs. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have exactly the same problem with some POP3 users that use as mail client Microsoft Outlook 2003 and 2007. Up to now I don't have problem with Apple and Linux clients. I found out that users in which the alias differ from the shortname in the Open Directory record (which is the first shortname and mailbox identity) can't see the incoming Mail. For example, if the first shortname is user0001 and the alias is tony, I set [email protected] as the email address and user0001 as the User Name in the login information of Microsoft Outlook Configuration.

I can't see e-mail messages on my local folder disk location. Paranoid.

I'm switching from POP to IMAP and in the process am trying to archive lots of messages in not-very-active topics/folders to my Local Folders. This all seems to work _great_. My messages are archived just where I expect them to be, and I can see them _in Thunderbird_.
But, when I go to the location of the local folders shown by "browse" in account settings for Local Folders, I see only .sbd folders. These sometimes have sub-folders for _some_ of the sub-folders in my local folders structure (but not all). I see no messages. In some cases properties indicates that the folder has a substantial size.
BUT, I want to be able to walk away with my e-mail should something go wrong. Where are my e-mails? How can I configure T-bird so that I can be comfortable that they will survive the demise of T-bird, or some other misfortune (assuming that I back them up.)

The Account Settings Local folders Browse button is designed to locate only the Folder where it should be pointing, so that Local Folders knows where to save Local Folders folders and emails, enabling you to select the folder which is usually set by default and unless there is a specific issue, you should not need to change it. It is not an access to Profile folders. All Files are not displayed in that view because you cannot select them to be a suitable folder.
The second method via Help > Troublshooting 'Show Folder' button displays the Profile folder name contents and therefore will show all files and folders. If you ever want to manually backup your profile, this is one method of locating the Profile name folder.

Cant see some mail.. something about the email wasnt downloaded.. help..

Couple times a day, I get this message:
The message from "amber ruiz" <[email protected]> concerning “Customer Contact: Website Time-Out” has not been downloaded from the server. You need to take this account online in order to download it.
Not that exact message mind you, as its for different emails from different people. The only way to see the email is to restart mail. Then I can see it just fine. Anybody know why this is happening?

When I open the folder "INBOX.mbox" I see two items. One is a file called "Info.plist" , and the other is a Folder named "Messages". With-in that folder named "Messages" is nothing,,, it is empty. Which bothers me because I HAD 5 messages in that accounts box that I was holding on to because they said that thing (about not being downloaded from server, etc..)...
BUT then like I said, I "Rebuilt" that accounts mailbox thinking that would help me, but with no warning alert or anything, it just seemed to clean up that box and the messages just disappeared in front of my eyes !!
But I thought for sure they would still be somewhere on my hard drive.....
Am I mistaken ?? And because there is no files in that folder named "Messages" does that mean I have absolutely NO messages from that account to dig up from anywhere ??

E71-Cant delete e-mail messages

Hey,
I received a few e-mails on my device, but I cant seem to be able to delete them.I have not retrieved them on the device as I have read them via a WLAN on my Laptop.I now need to delete them from the mailbox on the device but Iam failing completely.When I hilight the relevant mail and scroll to 'Delete' the instruction is merely ignored.
Please advise.

If you mark them all and delete they wil be gone by the next pull. If there are no messages on the server your mailbox will be empty.

After replacing computer, can't see old mail messages

My father's Mac died. I bought a new one for myself and gave my father my old computer. At the Apple store, they were able to copy his mail from his dead computer to my new one. I copied the mail folder to his Mail folder, but Mail does not recognize the old messages. It only sees the messages that were left on his mail server since his computer died. What is the trick to getting Mail to recognize the old mail?

My Comcast email is working but I cant see any old messages

I set up my comcast email and I can send and receive messages but when I go to my inbox or sent it doesnt show any old messages. When I look on my outlook on my computer there are old messages in there so I'm not sure why they're not showing up on my phone. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Your Comcast email account is what is called a POP account.
New messages available at the incoming mail server for the account are downloaded from the server with the email client used to access the account - Outlook on your PC and with Mail on your iPhone. Each email client includes a setting for the account preferences to remove messages from the sever when downloaded by the email client or never. Sent messages cannot be stored on the served with the email client used to access the account and the account mailboxes and messages within cannot be kept synchronized with the server with multiple email clients used to access the account - so the account's Sent mailbox will always be different with Outlook on your computer and with Mail on your iPhone.
If you want the account mailboxes to be the same with both, you need an IMAP account which Comcast does not support.

Mail setup help - cant see my mail

Ok I am using leopard and I have set up mail for the first time (I do not have a .mac account)
I have configured a 1and1.co.uk account via pop and that seems to work, i have downloaded and can view all my mail.
I tried setting up a googlemail account via pop and had some difficulty, after following googles online instruction I got mail to recognise my googlemail and go and check that I had 439 messages (not new just in there) but they are not listed in my mail - just that there are 439.
Can anyone help with this please?

Outlook can not display htmldb mail message correctly

We are using some applications which constructed by HTML DB. All mail messages from HTML DB applications can not be displayed correctly in Outlook, but they are displayed very well in Netscape mail client. This issue happens in both HTML DB 1.5 and 1.6. Therefore, I am not sure this is HTML DB mail package issue or outlook issue. Have anyone experienced this issue. Any suggestions are highly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

This was not well documented, but we have improved the doc for the next relase. Essentially, you need a carriage return / line feed every 1000 characters. This is part of the SMTP spec. The package does not do this automatically for you, so try adding them yourself. You can use utl_tcp.crlf for the crlf.

Why has this not been fixed yet?? I know there are other "mail apps" out there, but I'd love to be able to just open up my Apple Mail app on my iPad and not be forced to see a mail message displayed if there is one in my inbox.
Why can't we deselect a message in the sidebar and have the large portion of the screen on the right say, "No message selected" or it can just be a blank page for all I care - just like you have an "empty" inbox.
It's a little absurd how aggravated I get about this, but I think it is incredibly foolish to not have this option from Apple. I **HATE** to use the Mail app from Apple. Anybody else feel the same way?

Verify/repair the startup disk (not just permissions), as described here:
The Repair functions of Disk Utility: what's it all about?
After having fixed all filesystem issues, if any, and making sure that there’s enough space available on the startup disk (a few GB, plus the space needed to make a backup copy of the Mail folder), try this:
1. Quit Mail if it’s running.
2. In the Finder, go to ~/Library/Mail/. Make a backup copy of this folder, just in case something goes wrong, e.g. by dragging it to the Desktop while holding the Option (Alt) key down. This is where all your mail is stored.
3. Locate Envelope Index and move it to the Trash. If you see an Envelope Index-journal file there, delete it as well.
4. Open Mail. It will tell you that your mail needs to be “imported”. Click Continue and Mail will proceed to re-create Envelope Index -- Mail says it’s “importing”, but it just re-creates the index if the mailboxes are already in Mail 2.x format.
Note: For those not familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers to the user’s home folder, i.e. ~/Library is the Library folder within the user’s home folder.

Cant see the indication "load more messages"

hi everyone! when i read my mail, i cant load any more by scrolling down. i remember that before, when i scrolled down, i could see "load more messages", but cant see it any more.
any help pls?

It could be that your internet is lagging. Try to disconnect and connect to the internet again. Then open a browser to make sure the internet is working.
