Cant see my pc shared files, my shared pc

Hi-- When I connect my mac with a hardwire internet cable my shared pc folders show up under the Shared in a finder window. When I hook up my mac wirelessly through airport extreme, the Shared completely disappears and my shared pc folders are unavailable. I've been through the airport setup utility many times now and cant see what I need to change to get it to let my shared pc folders in.
My pc is on a hard wire connection and the setup utility runs on my mac.

I have the same issue. I guess it's just a setting somewhere, but I can't figure where.
Just to tell you there are other people with the same problem.
If you have any information how to fix it, please post.

Cant see olympus OMD raw files

Hi can anyone tell me when we are likely to get an extension to allow us to view the olymus OMD raw files in Photoshop CS5 ?

Also bear in mind new updates are no longer being released for Photoshop CS5, but that there is a free converter that IS kept up to date. It's called the Adobe DNG Converter.
Once you have a version of Photoshop that's older than the current version, the way the DNG Converter can help is this:
1. You convert folders full of your OMD files to DNG format.
2. You open the DNG files in the older version of Photoshop.
You get all the features of the conversion process provided in your version of Photoshop, with the last update of the raw converter released (which would be Camera Raw 6.7 for Photoshop CS5).
What you don't get are the latest features implemented in the latest version of Photoshop. To get those, and the ultimate convenience of opening your raw files directly into Photoshop, you have to buy the update to the latest version of Photoshop.

Cant find the home sharing icon on my ipad

The support page tells me to enter a file name but not where to enter it I cant see a home sharing icon on the iturnestore page

Look in Settings > Music > Home Sharing. What is required is your Apple ID.
Home Sharing must also be turned on in iTunes on your computer (File Menu > Home Sharing) and iTunes must be running.

Cant see files and documents.

I just migrated all the contents from an older macbook pro over to a brand new 13" macbook pro retina display. While I can see all the apps are good, I cant see any of my files and documents! So I tried to re-do the migration all over again. It then it said "not enough space". So I know that the files and docs are here on this computer but i cant see them anywhere. Any help would be nice. Thanks in advance. B.

Boot to the install disk.
Choose English - continue.
Utilities>Reset Password.
Choose the startup volume - usually Macintosh HD.
Then choose Administrator (root) and the user name.
Then give the root user a password and save it.
Quit reset password and restart your computer.
At the login window choose Other.
For user name put in "root" without the quotes.
Then enter your password and login.
In the root user double click on the hard drive icon and then on the Users folder.
Double click on the affected account folder.
Double click on the sparse.image or sparse.bundle.
If it asks for a password this is the password for the original user account.
Enter the requested info and continue.
It may give you a message that it is damaged but still open.
You need to copy the contents out of the damaged file vault image.
You can create a folder on the desktop and drag files into the folder.
It will only make a copy.
If you don't have room for another copy of the entire folder on your computer you need to option drag whatever you have already copied out of the damaged image, from the image, to the trash and empty in order to free enough space.
Once the image contents have been moved out of the image into another part of the computer you can now go to System Preferences>Accounts and delete the affected user.
Then click on + and create the Account again - make sure you set it as Administrator.
Then drag the contents of that folder, newly created in Users, into the Trash and return your saved contents to the folder.
Then log out and into the account.

Yes, we are talking about FCP X...this is the thing:
I worked on a project a few days ago and went to share - export movie.
Today, i opened the FCP again, to make some changes, and when i enter to the project, it shows me as one big clip.....i dont see it says compound clip....and i tried anyways pressing break appart clips...but nothing....could it be that i made it compound before exporting it..? if so how can i recover the un-compound version >?
I tried to import the saved .mov file, but it opens the same....as one long clip...
Pls help...thanx.

How to see my Microsoft shared files?

I have my emac connected via ethernet to my broadband modem.
I have my pc also connected via ethernet - with shared files defined.
I can see the network/files from my wireless connection laptop but I have no idea how to see the windows unit/files from my emac (OSX 10.5)
Can anyone offer this apple newbie some guidance?

You've more a system software issue than an eMac-specific one, and I suspect there are very good network helpers there.

Firing Up Web Sharing
Here’s how you turn your Mac into a low-budget Web site: Put the HTML documents, graphics, and files you want to publish into your Home → Sites folder. Every account’s Home folder has a Sites folder, and therefore the Mac can actually serve up lots of Web sites at once. Your Web site’s home page, by the way, won’t appear unless it’s named index.html. (Apple has already put an index.html document into your Sites folder, just to give you the idea; feel free to replace it.) And the other files you put in Sites aren’t accessible unless they’re linked from your index.html page.
Open System Preferences; click Sharing. Turn on the Web Sharing radio button.
Use the Sharing System Preferences pane to make designated folders on your hard drive available to anyone on your network. Note that your Mac’s IP address, shown here in underlined type, works only when people connect from across the local network. It probably won’t work from across the Internet; see the box on the facing page. You’ve just made the contents of your Sites folder available to anyone who connects to your Mac. Also note the line below the Computer Name box. That’s your Mac’s Bonjour name, which is a bit friendlier than its IP address. Send your network address to your friends and coworkers
People on your local office network can use your Mac’s Bonjour name to connect. It appears at the top of the Sharing pane, as shown in Figure 22-1. For example, your colleagues can type http:// office-mac.local/ ~ chris into their Web browsers, where office-mac.local is your Mac’s Bonjour name and chris is your short user name. If other people will be connecting from the Internet, you need to figure out your public IP address; as noted in the box on The IP Address Mess: Port Forwarding, that might be your router’s IP address, not your Mac’s. But if you have an Administrator account (Chapter 12), you can also put your Web pages into the main hard drive window’s Library → WebServer → Documents folder. This is your Mac’s main Web site folder, and its address is simply, for example, http:// 111.222.3.44/. That is, it’s just your public IP address, no user name needed. (Here again, if people will be connecting from across your office network, they can replace the IP number with your Mac’s Bonjour name.) I have an iphone running ios 6 and a mac with osx lion. They both have home sharing but I cant see my playlist on my iphone. Please help!

This may not be right but don't you have to sync the playlist to the iphone not just expect to see it over wifi. Otherwise when you leave your house it would not be there...

HT204350 I have a Mac Book Pro with 10.6.8 and want to back up my files using a flash drive. It says I did it but when I tried to check on my other Mac - an I Mac with 10.5.8, thedata does not seem to be there. I cant see photos, etc.

A PowerPC Mac, if that's what it is, won't be able to see an Intel Mac's formatted data. Also ExFat formatting is not supported by 10.6.3 or earlier. I would try viewing the backup on another Intel Mac with at least 10.6.4. If it isn't there, then the backup never really took place. I much profer a hard drive with Carbon Copy Cloner.

Jar file could not find main class.. I cant see why?

I have read loads of tutorials on this and it should be very straight forward but i STILL cant make a working jar file of my program.. please see if you can see anything wrong with what im doing..
my program is one .java file that compiles perfectly, and is runnable both through eclipse and by using the command prompt.. i made a jar file using both eclipse and the command prompt, and neither worked.. every time i run it by double clicking it i get the error "could not find main class, program will exit". here is the contents of my jar:

File Adapter picks up the file but cant see it in MONI/Message Monitoring

I am using FCC in Sender File Adapter and have only one sub structure under Recordset hence I have not used the 'Key Field Name' though ''Key Field Type' by default is 'String(Case-Sensitive)'. Besides the 'fieldNames' heading I have mentioned all the fields of the sub structure in the same order as I have mentioned in the Data Type.
The problem that I am facing is that even though the file is picked up from ftp successfully still I cant see any traces of it in either MONI or Message Monitoring though
The error that I receive in the MDT is -
Success : Entire file content converted to XML format
Warning : Empty document found. Proceed without sending message
Success : File "Test.csv" deleted after processing
and I have data in the file.
Can u suggest a solution?

I had a look at the blog and according to that I will need to create a module...the prob with that is in the blog he hasnt provided the full steps for that. Also I had tried this thing earlier of using an excel file and saving it in .csv format and it had worked. I cant figure out what the error is this time
Have u worked on creating amodule for excel files b4?
