Not meant to display your Photos on iCloud. It is meant to setup Photostream so that when you take a new snapshot on one device and through icloud, that photo will appear on Photostream album on all Devices and your computer(if you have iCloud control panel installed on your computer)

Damaged phone cant see photos on icloud

i have over 1000 photos on my phone and even bought more space on icloud because i was out of space my phone is damage and photo stream only shows 200 photos....how do i find my photos. this is very upsetting backed up always and these are precious baby pictures!

You said you backed up always, so are the photo's not in your backup?
An iPhone backup only backs up photos in the camera roll, not all photo albums. And if you are using photostream, that is not a permanent storage solution as photo's in photo stream are deleted after 30 days. Photo stream is only intended as temporary storage to allow you to share photo's across devices.
You should always be backing up photo's to your photo archive program on you computer - but it's not clear from your post if that is what you had been doing or not?

A PowerPC Mac, if that's what it is, won't be able to see an Intel Mac's formatted data. Also ExFat formatting is not supported by 10.6.3 or earlier. I would try viewing the backup on another Intel Mac with at least 10.6.4. If it isn't there, then the backup never really took place. I much profer a hard drive with Carbon Copy Cloner.

I am not a tech person! When I open ICloud on my Dell PC I see icons for mail; contacts; reminders; notes I do not have an icon for PHOTOS -- how do I access my photos in ICloud? Thanks for any help!!

Photos (Camera Roll) are stored on iCloud as part of an iPhone or iPad backup but the backups are only able to be used when doing a complete restore of the iOS device and can not be viewed on iCloud.
The other involvement of iCloud is in Photo Stream. Photo Stream is designed as a way to transfer photos from one device to another and not as a storage mechanism. Note the following quotation from iCloud: My Photo Stream FAQ

HT201077 Can't see photos on icloud (no photos icon)

Followed t'shooting steps and checked my iPhone (iOS7 on 4S) settings and cannot see my photos uploaded to iCloud. Link below is screenshot of what I see when I log into iCloud. No Photos icon. I even tried sharing the selected photos from my iPhone (to my email) but never got the email. Very strange. Have you seen this before? Thanks!

Go to iCloud.com on a computer. To see them on your iPhone go to iCloud.com in Safari. Tap the URL field. Pull favorites down and tap request desktop site. Sign into your iCloud account. Now you can view iCloud Drive or Photos if you turned on iCloud Photo library.

There is no web application for Photo Stream, so you can to use your photos on icloud.com.
You can view your photos:
-On your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, your photos will appear in the Photos app in the Photo Stream album.
-On your Mac, they appear in the Photo Stream view in iPhoto or Aperture.
-On a PC, your photos download to the Photo Stream download folder. By default, this folder is located atC:\Users\Apple\Pictures\Photo Stream\My Photo Stream. You can change this location by visiting Photo Stream Options in the iCloud Control Panel for Windows.
-On Apple TV, your photos will appear in the Photo Stream view under Internet in the main Apple TV menu after you sign in with your iCloud account.

I cannot see photos in iCloud Photo Sharing

I have shared album on iCloud, but invited members can only see photos from the point in time they accepted the invitation.
For example:
Day 1: Album created, Photo A, B, C added.
Day 2: Person X added. Cannot see photo A, B or C.
Day 3: Person X adds Photo D,E,F. Person Y added.
Day 4: Person X cannot see photo A, B or C, but can see Photo D,E,F. Person Y cannot see any photos.
Day 5: Person Z added. Person X adds Photo G,H,J. Person Y adds photos K,L,M.
Day 6: Person X can see photos D - M. Person Y can see photos G - M. Person Z cannot see any photos.
Hope that helps? Basically once a person is added to a shared album, they cannot see any of the previous photos. Making the shared album a bit pointless if it is holiday photos? Please help. Replaced broken phone w/new 4s. I did as the genius bar guy said and did reset>erase all content and settings at home because he said it would take too long in the store. Last time I had to replace my phone, all the photos and video were there. Now they're not. I had set up icloud but when i typed in "my restore from icloud", nothing came up. If this is your first sync and there is already data on the phone, perform the steps listed below. This will transfer your apps and other media purchased from the iTunes store to your iTunes library, perform a manual backup and restore, then sync the iTunes media back to the phone from your iTunes library. This will not transfer media from other sources such as music from your ripped CDs. As you said you never synced before, I assume all of your apps, music and other media was purchased from the iTuens and App stores. If this is correct, you won't lose anything.
Download and install iTunes: http://www.apple.com/itunes/.
Launch iTunes, go to the View menu and click to check Show Sidebar.
Go to iTunes>Preferences>Devices (Edit>Preferences>Devices if using Windows) and check "Prevent...from syncing automatically".
Go to Store>Authorize This Computer and authorize all Apple IDs used to purchase apps and other iTunes media (music, podcasts, movies, tv shows, etc.) on your phone.
On her phone, go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup and turn iCloud Backup to Off.
Connect her phone to your computer and in iTunes go to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases to transfer your purchased media to your iTunes library.
Right-click on the name of the phone on the left side of iTunes and click "Reset Warnings".
Right-click on the name of the phone again and click "Back Up" to back up the phone.
Right-click again and choose "Restore from Backup...", select the backup you just made to restore from and restore the backup to your phone. If prompted to back up again, decline.
Go to the Info tab and make sure nothing is checked so you aren't syncing calendars, contacts, etc. with iTunes.
Go to the Summary tab and select This Computer under Automatically Back Up.
Check the other tabs to confirm that your sync settings are the way you want them.
Click Apply at the bottom to sync your phone.

Using iPhoto-updated version on mac mini, how do I see photos through iCloud on my ipad2?

I have a mac mini where we have 3K pictures. These are all in iphoto and we just purcased the ipad2 and are using icloud, but we cannot see pictures that are stored on the mac mini. Need help

iCloud is a method of getting photos from one device to another, not a way of viewing files. So, if you want to add the photos to your iPad, add them to the Photostream on your Mac.

Don't See Photos on iCloud

So I recently paid to have the extra storage on iCloud so I could backup everything on my 5s, including my camera roll. After just completing a backup, which was just over 13GB in size, I can't find the photos anywhere on iCloud. I checked my settings and everything appears correct (photos are turned on in iCloud settings, including both "My Photo Stream" and "Photo Sharing"). Documents and Data is turned on. Even the little gray text below the iCloud Backup setting button says "automatically back up your camera roll, accounts, documents and settings when iPhone is plugged in... etc". How do I access the photos through it webinterface of iCloud on my PC?
All I really want to do is get the photos and videos off my phone and onto my PC for backup so I can start clearing space off my phone. Whenever I plug it in via USB it doesn't show my phone as a storage device, so I can't access photos that way. And yes, I tried the solution mentioned here: https://discussions.apple.com/message/25297740#25297740 and when I try to install the driver it tells me "iphone folder you specified doesn't contain a compatible software driver for your device. if the folder contains a driver, make sure it is designed to work with Windows for x64-based systems"
So incredibly frustrating...

I don't see any option in iTunes to download photos from my device to my machine. The only option I see is to "sync photos from", but when I've tried that in the past it erases the photos on my phone and replaces them with whatever's stored in that folder.

Hi all,
I am prepared to admit that I am not as smart as a fifth grader. I do not understand iCloud at all. The only thing that transferred over to the web is my contacts and my notes. I need pictures and music in storage. I have some questions. Help if you can.
1. I created a folder on my desktop for the photostream pics, but it is empty. Why?
2. Why can't I see the pictures online? I thought that was the whole point so I could free up space on my camera by getting these 700 pictures off of it. '
3. I read somewhere that they only stay online 30 days, or 30 days the photostream deletes...or something.
I JUST DON'T GET IT!
All I want to do is backup everything in my iphone, and get my pictures on to my PC, and have them stored in iCloud in case something happens to both of my devices.
Smart people...help me.

Aperture Library Browser - cant see photos from iPhone in Smart Library

I have just upgraded my iLife 09 with iPhoto. I manage all my images from cameras in Aperture on the same Mac. I know the Aperture Browser is limited and is unable to show me the raw from my canon dslr however I notice that I cannot see the photos from my iphone. I have a smart album in Aperture for each camera I own. If I go to any of the digital compacts they all display the jpegs but the dslr albums will only display the jpg not raw images. The smart album for the iPhone is empty although there are a few hundred images on it......
Any one out there with this working or even with the same problem. I dont really want to use iPhoto to manage my iPhone images I like my masters in one place.

Why can't i see photos in iCloud emails?

I receive emails from family and friends who own PCs not Mac computers and 90% of the time the photos do not load in the iCloud Mail emails I receive. What is the reason for this? Thanks one and all!

I was having the same problem. Any Apple emails, or emails with large number of graphics would show up as unloaded boxes.
Go to Settings - "Mail, Contacts, Calendars", and under Mail there's a setting for "Load Remote Images". Turn that on and you should be good to go.
