Cant see the image but I can hear it, any suggestions?

I have just uploaded the new version of QT and try to play a 1280x720 Mov in it but the image is not there while I can hear the sounds.
I tryed playing a 4:3 dv mov and it was fine, any help would be great.

I have same problem as Alex, I also have latest version of QT with no pictures but can hear sound.
The video guy that transfered the DV tapes for me can play the HD clips from the tape in QT and iMovie (both older versions than mine).
Kenedy, I have the Movie Inspector up, now how do I search for the codec?
Being a still photographer this language is pretty foreign to me. Any help appreciated.

IPhoto 08 is gone...can see the icon but doesn't open. Any suggestions?

I was working on getting my Time Capsule to backup my MacBook and erased everything on there. When I restarted and got the time capsule to work i couldn't open my Iphoto anymore and cannot open any new photos that I download..
If I click on the icon it bounces then stops and nothing happens. When i search my applications folder the iphoto application is not there. When i search the "myname"macbook drive>iPhoto I can see the iphoto app. (doesn't open, crashes immediately), the contents folder (the plug-ins disabled and resources disabled items do not open)
Any help would be appreciated.

Try trash the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder. (Remember you'll need to reset your User options afterwards. These include minor settings like the window colour and so on. Note: If you've moved your library you'll need to point iPhoto at it again.)

For new users: Every application on your Mac has an accompanying plist file. It records certain User choices. For instance, in your favourite Word Processor it remembers your choice of Default Font, on your Web Browser is remembers things like your choice of Home Page. It even recalls what windows you had open last if your app allows you to pick up from where you left off last. The iPhoto plist file remembers things like the location of the Library, your choice of background colour, whether you are running a Referenced or Managed Library, what preferences you have for autosplitting events and so on. Trashing the plist file forces the app to generate a new one on the next launch, and this restores things to the Factory Defaults. Hence, if you've changed any of these things you'll need to reset them. If you haven't, then no bother. Trashing the plist file is Mac troubleshooting 101.
If that doesn't help:
Post the Crash Log.
It's at Home / Library / Logs / Crash-Reporter / iphoto.crash.log
Double click on the file and it will open in the Console. Copy and Paste it in here.

Oh no, Robinbird18! This is not what we like to hear about your cell phone. It makes it pretty hard to have a conversation with someone when you can't hear them. If you make a phone call out are you able to have a conversation with someone without any issues? How long has this been going on? Have you tried to use the phone on speaker phone to see if that works at all? Please keep us posted. My Windows PC iTunes doesn't see my two Apple TV2's (in the speaker button in lower right of iTunes), I believe this problem began when my PC's McAfee AV subscription expired. My computer has internet connection thru router and my ATVs have internet connection thru same router so it's not a networking issue. My iPad can see the ATVs but it can't see iTunes so the problem appears to be PC/iTunes related. I turned the PC's firewall off but no joy. I uninstalled the expired McAfee and still no joy. Reboot = no joy. Glass of scotch = no joy. Need help!!

Wanted to add that I turned on Home Sharing w/the same account in iTunes and ATVs. And I've successfully streamed music/photos to my ATVs for over a year.

There might be something in the headphone jack, maybe lint, dirt, or something else in there. Try disconnecting the headphones and then adjusting the volume, does it say headphones?
If that doesn't do it, try resetting or restoring the iPhone.

If you want to hear your music on iPhone without interruption, switch Settings > Airplane Mode: ON.

if you have a 4s, then siri is automatically on the device, she is a native "app". you might have an iphone 4, and then you cannot get siri.

Could be corrupt plist try deleting com.apple.systemuiserver.plist
found here by using Finder>Go>Go to Folder (command shift G):
copy and paste:
~/Library/Preferences/ com.apple.systemuiserver.plist
delete this plist.
now open terminal (Applications/Utilities/terminal.app) and paste the command:
killall SystemUIServer
and return. This command will kill the process and MacOS X will automatically rebuild the menu bar, clearing out old cache. Quit Terminal.
Restart if neccessary.

I cant hear on the phone but they can hear me. Iphone 5.

i have an iphone 5, my warranty ran out last week!
When i make phone calls i cant hear the other side although they can hear me, i can hear people when it is connected to my handsfree (Bluetooth) in my car.. Urgently need this fixed i dont have the time or money to have to pay for it to be sent of and fixed..
Any ideas? i have reset, restarted, backed up. I am useless with technology please someone help?

To troubleshoot this issue with the iPhone receiver follow the steps below.
Follow these steps to resolve the issue:
Increase the volume during the call.
Make sure nothing is blocking the receiver. If you're using a protective case or display film, remove it and try again.
Make sure nothing is plugged into the headphone jack or the dock connector.
Check the receiver opening to see if it is clogged with debris. If necessary, clean it with a clean, small, dry, soft-bristled brush.
Try another location with better signal. If the audio issue happens only when on a call, it could be due to the location.
If the iPhone is paired with a Bluetooth headset or a car kit, try turning off Bluetooth on your device. Learn more about troubleshooting Bluetooth connections.
Restart the iPhone.
Make sure your device is up to date.
If the issue is not resolved, contact Apple Support.

Cant see the image in browser!

I have a jsp application where I am visiting some JPG image . I placed the image inside :
"C:\jakarta-tomcat-5.0.25\webapps\ROOT\reports\output\proe\"
I am able to see those image in my machine. I sent the link of my application to my supervisor. He is able to run the application but he cant view those image rather than some cross signs. Any idea why is that? .This is my first web application. Still needs to know lot of stuff. Pls help/suggest me.

This may be caused by a Tomcat configuration issue.
When you say "application", do you mean web application.. Have you created a web application directory within the webapps folder or are you using the default, as your directory structure would suggest..
You mention a jsp application.. Do you mean you have developed a jsp page which contains an image..Do you have a jsp page at CATALINA_HOME/webapps/ROOT ...
I suggest reviewing a bit about web applications and Tomcat deployment to help you solve this issue.
