Cant Send or receive MMS messages??

I just bought a Blackberry Pearl 8100 from a friends, and when I first had it, I tried to send a MMS message (a picture) to someone,a nd it told me something like "Multimedia message service not detected" and that I would only be able to save the message as a draft.. I have AT&T, and called them, but for some reason, they told me that you CANT send pictures on the Blackberry ??
Oh, and then I did the "Wipe Handheld" Thing, so I could clear everything, and now I dont even have the option of sending an MMS message anymore. I know I have it in my plan, I just bought unlimited messaging for SMS and MMS right before I got the Blackberry. Halp please?

Start by looking for the MMS service books on the BlackBerry. This can be found by going under options, advanced options, and then service books. Check the size of the picture being sent. If that fails I would talk to the service provider to confirm that the voice feature is applied and confirm the limitations for MMS messages.

You should be able to do this through the iMessage app if the other person is connected through an apple device If not however there are plenty of apps on the app store that you would be able to use to send pics as long as the other user has a smart phone (does not have to be apple)... for example WhatsApp, Kik, Skype etc Hope that this helps!

Cannot send or receive MMS messages!!

I cannot send or receive MMS messages on my BT mobile HTC S620. Also I keep getting the BT Set-up screen yet it won't proceed past the first step of four! I have re-set this handset back to factory settings and updated the software via computer/download, however, I cannot find a solution to get my MMS messages! Help please? (By the way wireless, emails and SMS messages work fine.)

Sounds like something has gone wrong with regards to the MMS settings and looks like you'll need to re-enter them.
The settings I found for it as follows:
Access point name: mobile.bt.uk
Username: user
Password: btmms
Authentication: Normal
Data bearer: GPRS
Gateway IP address: 212.183.137.012 or 62.239.21.123
Session mode: Permanent
URL address: http://mms.bt.com/servlets/mms or http://mmsc.btmms.co.uk:8002
We have also been told that the following settings may work for a corporate BT Mobile: APN: btmobile.bt.com , username:bt , password:bt, port:8799 , IP address:212.183.137.12

Since Straight Talk, using a GSM iPhone is not "officially" supported, you're gonna have to configure the APN settings manually. Go here:

You should give a call your Service provider Optus to know about the issue , they can look at your service account if you're missing something .
So , please call your Network service provider .

I have the same problem. :(( I upgraded my iPhone 4S and now I can't receive emails or send and receive texts/photos. I have checked settings to make sure MMS is on and it is. There's a two week waiting period to make an appt at 4 local apple stores. Can anyone help?? Thank you.

Blackbery Bold does not send or receive MMS messages

When I receive an MMS it says Not Retrieved Yet and when I click "download now" it says "receiving content" but it is not downloaded. I have reset the device by removing battery and SIM card. I confirmed with my provider that I have the ability to receive MMS. Everything is checked to receive MMS messages. I also cannot send an MMS. It attaches a pic but cannot send. I receive SMS texts.

With a strong carrier network signal (e.g., not merely WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
1) Register HRT
KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
Please wait for one "registration" message to arrive to your Messages app
2) Resend Service Books
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
Please wait for "Activation" Messages, one per already configured email account, to arrive in your Messages. If you have no already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.
3) Reboot
With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes.
See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should again contact your mobile service provider for formal support and potential formal escalation to BB for enhanced support.

Cannot send or receive mms messages iphone 3gs

I have an iPhone 3GS running iOS 6.1.6 the phone is locked to AT&T. I use a Straight Talk SIM and have, voice, data, and Text but cannot send or receive MMS. I have gone through the APN update for Straight talk and even talked to spoke with a tech support rep. He said that he adjusted the APN settings for my SIM card and still not able to send.

SMS/MMS are carrier features so take it out with them.
We cannot help here.

Probably because their iPhones are still trying to send iMessages, which only Apple devices can receive. Go to http://supportprofile.apple.com and Unregister the iPhone.

Already solved the problem. On default, the phone will create a 3g/mms settings and will name it after the network operator. So if you'll open a browser or mail, it will ask you what connection you will use (WLAN/3G or GPRS).
It wont connect me to the internet when ill use that settings then ill choose the 3g/gprs.
Then if ill use my network operator's settings under settings>configuration, it wont let me use WLAN. It will automatically choose the 3g/gprs connection. (that will surely cost me)
can anyone tell me how to combine this settings?
The default got its x-midlet-[insert apps name here] and lots of other stuffs, while my network operator only got its web, multimedia and access point.

Why can't I send or receive MMS messages?

I just got my Blackberry Curve 2 days ago. I played around with it, trying to learn it and I took a picture and then sent it to see how it worked. It worked fine. It sent and the person received it. I sent 2 more pictures the same day nd everything worked fine. I could even receive messages too. But the next day, and today I have tried sending picture messages and it won't send. It will load and act like it's going to send but then it will just sit there in my message option with the clock icon beside it like it's trying to send but never does. It doesn't even tell me that it's unable to send. The message just sits there. And also, I can't receive picture messages anymore. They just won't even come through. Can anybody help me?

with the device on, pull your battery out for 20 seconds and put it back in, wait till you are fully booted and try again

for some reason i can not send or receive any picture messages. when i signed my contract i was told i would be able to. my sister who has the exact plan as me is able to send and receive them. i have the HTC trophy. also i can only use my internet when i am around a wifi connection. i thought i would be able to use it anywhere. again my sister is able to use her internet and download apps anywhere. please help......

My Blackberry Storm 2 cant send or receive picture messages?

I just got my Blackberry Storm 2 yesterday off ebay and I have been using it and figured everything out and it is great, but what ive noticed is that it can not receive or send picture messages and i dont know why. My last blackberry i had did this but this doesnt. I dont know what the problem is so please help!!!

I believe you are referring to MMS. Please contact your Carrier because there is no settings on the phone about it and it can only be fixed by the Carrier.
