Cant send or receive texts or make calls on my Samsung Intensity II

It started around 8am CST I cant send or receive texts not make calls. I get an automated response to hang up and dial *611 but after doing that I get the same automated response saying the call couldnt be completed as dialed and to hang up and dial *611. The bill is paid in full btw.

Can you dial *228 option 1 and reprogram the phone?  If that also kicks you out, you may want to take the phone to your nearest Corporate Verizon store or call Customer Service if you have another phone that's working correctly.  There may be an outage in your area or something similar going on at Verizon's end.

  • Cant send or receive texts from one person....​why?

    I have a palm pixi and I cant send or receive texts from one person...why? when I send a message to this person the message just disappears. anything I can do to fix this?

    This is a common problem.... I was having it too.  The only solution I found is to go into device info, reset options and then choose erase apps and data.  It solved the problem.  All the contact info is backed up so you don't lose your data.

    Probably because their iPhones are still trying to send iMessages, which only Apple devices can receive. Go to http://supportprofile.apple.com and Unregister the iPhone.

    I found the following steps for when you're experiencing issues making or receiving calls. If you haven't already, I would start your troubleshooting here:
    Follow the steps below to resolve this issue. Please test after each step.
    Toggle airplane mode: Tap Settings > Enable Airplane Mode, wait five seconds, then turn off airplane mode.
    Check your phone settings:
    Check your Do Not Disturb settings: Tap Settings > Do Not Disturb.
    Check for any blocked phone numbers: Tap Settings > Phone > Blocked.
    See if Call Forwarding is turned on: Tap Settings > Phone > Call Forwarding.
    Ensure that your software is up to date:
    Check for a carrier settings update.
    Check for an iOS software update.
    Note: Some updates may require a Wi-Fi connection.
    If the iPhone has a SIM card, reseat the SIM card.
    If the iPhone 4 or iPhone 4s is on the Verizon network, dial *228 from the iPhone and select option 2 to update the Preferred Roaming List (PRL). The PRL determines the cellular towers the phone uses for cellular service, selecting those with the best signal strength.
    Reset the network settings: Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
    Try to make or receive calls in another location.
    Attempt to isolate to one network band:
    If you're having the issue on LTE, disable LTE, if possible, and try again.
    If you're having the issue on 3G/4G, disable 3G/4G, if possible, and try again.
    Contact the carrier to check the following:
    Your account is properly configured to use the specific iPhone that has the issue.
    There are no localized service outages.
    Your account doesn't have a billing-related block.
    Your calls don't have errors on the carrier system.
    Restore the phone as new.

    Then the bottom of the support document states that if you do not have access to the device (which unfortunately because of the screen issue you do not) to contact Apple Care. That is what you need to do.

    Hi, I was having the same problem after upgrading to the 4s on Friday.  I could not send or receive texts. I called my carrier (AT&T) and they were able to fix it.  Somehow, my texting plan got changed to none and my data plan got changed too even though I didn't request a change to anything on my plan.  The AT&T rep was able to put me back onto a texting plan and now I can send and receive texts.  I don't know how I got dropped from a texting plan but at least they were able to fix the problem.
    I would recommend calling your carrier and seeing if they can help.

  • What's Wrong With My iPhone 4? Sometimes I Can't Make or Receive Calls and I Also Can't Send or Receive Texts!

    Recently, I've been having issues with my iPhone 4.
    A few weeks ago, out of the blue, I could not send or receive texts, and I couldn't make or receive calls. If I tried to send a text, the little bar will go almost all the way to the end and just hang there for something absured like over half an hour. Then it tells me that it failed to send. When I try to call someone when I suffer from this problem, there's no dial tone, no noise. When I try to hang up, it just says "Hanging up..." and if I go out of the Phone, it says up the top "touch ti resume call" when I'm trying to hang up. If I touch to resume call, it's like I didn't hang up.
    Then, out of no-where, it suddenly fixed itself. I thought, "Great! Something like that surely couldn't happen again!"
    And it did again, just a few minutes ago. And subsequently fixed itself, albiet faster than last time.
    How can I avoid this problem in the future? Do I need have my iPhone 4 repaired? Do I need to tell you guys more information?

    I believe the root cause is IOS5.01. same problem on my iphone4s with IOS5.01. Now I have a expensive I-touch!  wake up steve.............. I suggest you change your sim cark from 64k to 128k. or just waiting next generation IOS.
