Cant send picture messages on iphone 4

i recently purchased a 8gb iphone 4 and up untill a week ago it has been fine but recently on texts i havent been able to send picture messages i can send normal texts and i can resive picture messages its just every time i go to send one it stops sending on the bar at the top and a sighn has appeared i have looked around the internet and i cant find how to solve this problem
please can someone help

Check Settings>Messages>MMS Messaging and make sure it's set to "On". Make sure you have an active data connection (either cellular or WiFi). Contact your carrier and make sure that your account is properly set up for MMS.

What a great question, banks1976. Do you get an error when trying to send a picture message? Have you been able to get any picture messages? Go to settings>general>cellular>enable data
Also, ensure data roaming is on from settings>general>cellular>roaming>enable

4s did an update not i cant send pictures to non iphone users

phone did an update yesterday. have noticed that i can't send pictures to non iphone users. If I open the camera and send it i get a non delivered error and if i write the txt and try to attach by the little camera it is greyed out

I had that problem yesterday and then I turned the phone off and back on, tried again and got a pop-up message about making sure that I had Data Roaming on. Even though I was in my Wi-Fi Network and using it, when I turned Cell Data Roaming to "On" the picture was in-fact delivered. Don't know why that would be a necessity but it worked.

i am not able to send mms from my iphone5, vodafone have changed the sim and changed all settings still not working, called apple they restored my phone to factory settings and it still dosn't work! anyone had this problem? my phone is less than 3 months old and had trouble for last 2 months....

If you go to Settings>Messages, do you have MMS turned on? If you have done this, have you tried to restore the phone as a new device? I doubt there could be anything in the backup that would affect MMS, but it is a thought. If the phone is set up as a new device and still will not send, it would fall back on the carrier. SMS/MMS is a carrier function.

Help is right here, front and center! Let's get your mms working properly. May I ask are you using the original stock messaging app to send texts and mms? Also, are you using any special characters or emojis in your message? Since you state that the issue is to iPhones, did you happen to have used an iPhone on your mobile number just before you were using the Galasy S 5? As you share the details then we can investigate.

AT&T does not permit the use of iPhones or any other smart-phones on pre-paid plans. You will have to pony up for a post paid plan that can be properly provisioned for an iPhone.

I have an iphone 3gs and i cant get it to send picture messages to anyone without an iphone? i already checked to make sure my sms setting is on and it is.

More than likely the problem is with the provider. You will need to check with them to find out what settings need to be on the phone to support MMS. You need to contact Straight Talk. SMS and MMS are carrier functions. The only settings on the phone are the ones you have mentioned, with the exception of APN settings, which are generally taken care of by the phone's carrier settings. I'm not aware of a carrier file for Straight Talk.
