Cant set message filter in Thunderbird 31 (screen disappears)
Upon trying to set a message filter, I can enter the relevant details in the FIRST screen, but then when I click "OK", the second screen ALWAYS disappears.
Thank you.
DAVE
Can you post screenshots? I have no idea what 'FIRST screen' and 'second screen' are.

Why cant I set a wallpaper to menu screen?
Itunes says I have the newest available software(4.2.1) for my iPod touch,
but I cant set a wallpaper to home screen, or view open apps, or activate "negative" color view.
What is this? I have deleted all data on my iPod, and reinstalled software, but its still the same problem...I do not believe that. The 2G and 3G iPod look identical on the outside.
The iPod touch (3rd generation) can be distinguished from iPod touch (2nd generation) by looking at the back of the device. In the text below the engraving, look for the model number. iPod touch (2nd generation) is model A1288, and iPod touch (3rd generation) is model A1318. -
I have an ipad 2 on ops 4.3 and have just updated to 7.1 via itunes. I backed up first and have synced repeatedly but keep getting a message on my ipdad screen that the ipad is not set up - I chose the set up option restore from itunes back up
To free up hard drive space the best bet is to move data files that you don't need access to all the time. Likely candidates are music, video, and photos. Things like word processing and spreadsheet files can also be moved but they tend not to be very large and so don't free up much space. The problem with moving the above mentioned files is that iTunes and iPhoto need to know where the files are stored.
Here's an article explaining how to move the iTunes folder. You can move the iPhoto library using the Finder but there is a slight complication. Start iPhoto, open the Preferences and click on the Advanced tab. The first option is "Copy items to the iPhoto Library". If this option is checked, copy the iPhoto library to your external folder (drag it from the Pictures folder to your external drive) and then delete it from your Picture folder. If this option is not checked, it is a bit more complicated and we'll need to talk a bit. -
A iCloud alert message about backing up is frozen on my screen. Cant access anything on my ipad. How do I get this alert message of my ipad screen? I have plugged my ipad to power and it is connected to Wi-Fi. Tried holding down on-off switch but nothing happens, can anyone help me with this please.

Hello masum007,
Thank you for the quick reply!
Based on the information provided in your post, I recommend performing a backup and recovery of your notebook's system. This can be done by following this document on Back Up Your Files (Windows 7), as well as Performing an HP System Recovery (Windows 7). This should help restore your system back to factory defaults.
If the issue persists, please call our technical support at 1-800-474-6836. If you live outside the US/Canada Region please click the link below to get the support number for your region.

@Dmitriy Buldakov, have you found the solution to the issue yet? I have the same problem, no option to turn on MMS in my iPhone settings. I checked the settings on my friend's iPhone, which has the same iOS version as me (8.1.1), and the option is there. It's really annoying...

Sign into iCloud pop-up message on iPad2 won't disappear off screen, have reset password multiple times but it is saying incorrect. Please HELP unable to use iPad as message appears every few seconds, iPad was working fine until now.
After the restore did the phone work properly for a while? Say, a day or so?
If so it is possible you have an app that doesn't let go of memory properly. I reboot my iPhone ( hold sleep/wake and hole till you see the apple logo) every few days. This resets the memory. The iPhone OS has doesn't seem to mange memory very well yet. So a reboot will help with that. I have had my phone almost slow to a stop before I started rebooting. Always reboot after installing a new app. Also do you close all pages in Safari when you are done? This is a good practice. Safari will run in the background and use processor time and drain your battery quicker. Create a new blank page then close all others when you are done browsing for a while. I have also found that certain web site that have animated images like weather maps will turn the phone into molasses. As soon as i close that page it gets faster.
If all of the above have no effect then as Tamara said it is time for a trip to the Genius bar.
Good luck -

I created a Message Filter to move email from Inbox to a Local Folder based on Date. The email headers were moved, but not the contents. Since I'm using IMAP, all the emails were deleted from the server.
I searched for similar problems and I followed one suggestion to "repair" one of the target Local Folders, but that made things worse. Now the header information (Subject, From, Date (now set to the date the transfer was done, not the email received date) is all blank.
The Local Folder properties indicate the email is contained in
mailbox:///C:/Users/Ted/AppData/Roaming/Thunderbird/Profiles/c65xcqqf.default/Mail/Local Folders/Archives.sbd/2010
I can see the messages from other Local Folders here, but the ones "moved" are empty.
Should this location be changed?
Is there some way to recover the email contents?

Want to use the same message filter on various computers
I have three computers all running thunderbird at different locations in the world. I am using IMAP thus I have all emails anywhere. Now I would like to run the same message filter on any of these, but I can not export/import the message filter so that I have copies of my filter. What should I do?
The file that stores your filter settings is called "msgFilterRules.dat". Each account will have its own "msgFilterRules.dat" file, stored in the "Local Directory" for the account in your profile. The Local Directory is specified at the bottom of Tools -> Account Settings -> Server Settings, right by the Browse button. The filters for Local Folders are stored in the Mail\Local Folders directory in the profile.
If you want to duplicate an accounts filters in another account you don't need to create them again. Exit Thunderbird and copy the "msgFilterRules.dat" file instead. If the account is in another profile and it uses custom headers you will also need to copy the mailnews.customHeaders setting from prefs.js. -

Not sure if I catch on, did you run bd64 on XI? ... Generally, after you have created model view on sender R/3 system, you should save it. Then, chose a model view for which you want to generate a partner profile and go to the menu "environment--> generate parter profile". Then partner profile will be generated.

I think the problem lays with Last.fm. I had the same exact problem as you. In your processes screen, end the task "lastfmhelper.exe" Last.fm still scrobbles. The tracks don't skip, although I notice there is still a bit of a lag in the first part of the song - but if you can deal with that, no skipping. I think you will have to end that task everytime you boot up your computer, or uninstall last.fm completely until they fix it; it is a bug in their software, as opposed to iTunes.

Slow Performance dragging under Flex 10.1?
