Cant shut down
i plugged in my ipod and somehow finder stopped responding so i used force quit to restart it. it hasnt come back up and now i cant restart my computer. ive tried restarting from the apple menu and that doesnt work either. any ideas?

Insert Leopard DVD, boot holding down "C" key and after language screen, menu top left, utilities, select disk utilities and repair HD and permissions.

Hey Guys,
i have the following Problem. I tested the Beta Version of Yosemite few Weeks ago and no upgraded it to Final Version.
Everything worked fine, but i cant shut down the OS right now on my IMac.
Also some of my Apps occuring Errors, so i have a lot of red errors in my running Apps List.Update the offending apps and see if the problem continues.
Have you added any antivirus, MacKeeper, CleanMyMac, or any other "performance" enhancing utilities? -

I cant shut down database successfully from OEM
I shut down database from OEM. Then there is an Exception org.omg.corba.No_implement. and the shutdown process failed.
I cant figure out. Please help.

Yes, I can shut down the database normally using sqlplus.
but the OEM still dont work.
The agent looks fine. I pinged the agent. It responed successfully. I refreshed the nodes, and try to shut down again. Still, no luck.
Nothing changed. The shutdown process still failed after rebooting the box.

What is the latest errror you get after restart. Is it still the same "Exception org.omg.corba.No_implement"?
If you can start your database from SQLPlus and your system has already been restarted and your agent is responding, there is no need kicking your system up and down.
Check the log files in $ORACLE_HOME (EM_HOME)\sysman\log for errors. Post the errrors for more information. -

Almost every time i try to shut down my computer I get this msg after 3-4 min. from the moment i choose Shut Down.

B.'No you shouldn't have to. The MirrorAgent manages your iDisk and portable home syncing. It can for whatever reason just get hung up. I've had mine do it. Haven't for a long time but it's happened. As long as it's not something that regularly happens you're okay.

after my Z1 Died (because i connected to the magnatic charger and that cable was connected to PC,stupid work)
and i opened the back of it and disconnected the battrey from mainboard and connected it again and baaam phone back to life!
but after that i noticed some other problems
first thing i noticed that was the phone couldnt be charged with magnatic cable any more
it only shows the charging icon and battrey wont be charged stay at where it was or drained after some time like it wasnt on charge
then i noticed that if i connect to pc with usb and turn of the display (that wont turn of during the connection) it will hang and nothing happen if i press the power button after i disconnect it so i have to reboot it with VOL+ and Power
and my major problem is this
this crap wont be shut down
like
if i shut it down it will get a reboot with boot loop on sony logo
(after it turned off the sony logo will came on and it will reboot and again sony logo and again and again)
so everynight i have to put it on charge or turn it off with VOL+ and Power AGAIN!!!
i tried flashing the official roms
changing kernels
but only thing i noticed that if i wipe dalvik cache with CWM it can be turned off but only once
the next time
the same old deal

If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP

Message was edited by: piff aroniIt sounds like some process in System Prefs is aborting the shutdown procedure.
Have you quit System Preferences? Any running process that cannot be quit will prevent your mac from shutting down
If you cannot quit System Preferences normally, try to Force Quit it using Force Quit from the Apple Menu.
As a last resort if you really have to shut down your mac, you can do a hard shut down by holding the power button down for four or five seconds. Doing this is not recommended unless you are desperate as the OS does some housekeeping with files and parks the HD heads properly with a soft shutdown.

Hold down the home/sleep button together until you see the apple logo and then release.

also pages often go slow then freeze...Since the question is so generic with no details, it could be assumed that malware or a virus has diabled the PC. That is where I would start. Verify that the anti-virus software is functioning and do a virus scan. That would be the first step.
