Cant slide the slide to unlock screen
i can touch/scrool my screen after i talk to siri but when it comes to unlocking my phone i cant slide to unlock?
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer

Does anyone agree that an option to view Calendar of Events on the Slide to Unlock Screen would be a quick and easy way to review your next events and appointments?

My iPad2 is frozen at slide to unlock screen, every few minutes the apple appears in the middle of the screen and couple of minutes later it will go back on freeze to the slide to unlock screen . I have tried all tricks even the restoration through iTunes which I was never able to complete because of the apple screen; iTunes thinks I am resetting my iPad and the restoration get aborted.
Please help, I can't even turn it off.Force iPad into Recovery Mode
1. Turn off iPad
2. Connect USB cable to computer; leave the other end alone
3. Press and hold the Home button down and connect the docking end of cable to iPad
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect To iTune" screen
5. Release the Home button
6. Open iTune
7. You should see "iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode"
8. Use iTune to restore iPad
Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times. -

Is there any way to disable Picture Frame on the slide to unlock screen?
I don't want the photo button on the slide to unlock screens, their doesn't seem to be a way to disable this.
Yes I'm sure that Apple knows about this.
You can disable Picture Frame if you use a Passcode on the iPad. Settings>General>Passcode Lock>Picture Frame>Off.
If you don't use a Passcode, you can select the album of photos that you do not mind sharing in Settings>Picture Frame>Albums. -

Try a reset:
Hold the Sleep and Home button down until you see the Apple logo. -

By the slide to unlock screen, are you talking about the slider at the bottom of the screen after taking out of sleep mode?
And by trying the sleep/wake button and home button, are you talking about a reboot by holding both the power/sleep button and the home button until the apple logo appears and it reboots? And that does not help release the issue with the slider?
Are you sure the iPhone is well charged?
If none if this helps, have you tried syncing/backing up to a compter and then restore by iTunes on a computer?
If you cannot do any of this it would be good to schedule a visit to an Apple store genius bar and have the techs try their hand and diagnostics. -

I can no longer view my photos through th photo icon. There is not an icon on my "slide to unlock" screen that when touched starts a slide show of my photos. How do I turn that off so I can access my photos as before?

I do not see a way to disable the Picture Frame icon. I looked at Settings-Picture Frame, but none of the options turns it off. The only way I can thinik of, would be if all of your photos had been deleted. If there were no photos, you couldn't have a slide show!
One thing to try is to reset (reboot) your iPad. Hold both the Home and Sleep buttons for several seconds until the Apple logo appears. Ignore the "Slide to power off" arrow. The iPad will restart after a couple of minutes. Resetting this way will not hurt anything, and sometimes clears up mysterious problems.

IPad 2 "Slide to Unlock" screen does not come up...
When I close my smart cover and then re-open it, the "Slide to Unlock" screen doesn't come up. Now it goes straight to whatever page I was on before I closed the cover. I didn't change any of the settings, any reason why? And how do I get the locking screen back when I close the smart cover?!!
One must know that voiceover application on mode will not work with slide application, so first you have to off the voice over application, for that pl follow steps as under.
1) go to general application by single tab to setting button, followed by double tab to same button.
2) you would be in general manu, wherein again single tab to about application.
3) pl now understand carefully, use your four(4) fingers simultaniously to slide the screen, pl slide on upward direction ( in any case with help of 4 fingers your slide application would work with voiceover application on mode).
4) single tab to accessibility option, then double tab to same button.
5) go to voiceover application with sinlge tab, change voiceover application on mode to off mode.
6) say thanks to yourself and enjoy ipad2 again.

my advise to you young guys: pl wash yr eyes four to five time by a tap water but do not use the towel to clean the water from eyes for 5 minutes, (this you should do as and when you get up from yr pc/ipad/mobile for other work.) your stress would get reduced to 90% -

It sounds like your phone is completely unresponsive and is showing an incorrect date and time. I would start by resetting the phone with this article:
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset

How to reset
You should reset your device as a last resort and only if you can't restart it.
To reset, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.
That should get your phone back up and running correctly. If not, I would use the following article to backup, then restore your phone with iTunes on your computer to reinstall the iOS on it:
