Cant start in Windows
Whenever I restart my computer, and hold down option it wont give me the choice of starting in windows or mac. It used to work fine, but now it doesnt want to work. So if theres anything that could fix it, or some way of changing the button you push to start up in windows tat would b great.
And you partitioned with BootCamp on the same drive, used FAT or NTFS? I have Vista on its own drive.
Which system is selected in Startup Disk? and does Windows show there at all? "Untitled" or something else?
Did you install the BC drivers, which is suppose to add a control panel to use in XP to change startup disk.
And this was XP SP2 (and supported)? 64-bit? 32?

I think a first great question is how did you acquire tomcat on
your machine?
Did you compile it from source,
or find a binary somewhere?a simple .exe installer (5.5.25 version)
in other friendly forum
i recieve a suggestion of replace both .exe thor these ones
http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/tomcat/connectors/trunk/procrun/bin/amd64/
see that is for 64bits
now i have this error (less of of course that the original)

When I plug in my Ipod Touch to my computer I can not access my Itunes library. The following message appears "The program cant start because MSVCR80.dll is missing." Also, another message appears as well - "Error 7 Windows error 126" as well as APSDaemon.exe.
I have NO IDEA what the heck to do.
Any ideas?

trying to install the newest version of itunes on my pc and am getting "program cant start because msvcr80.dll is missing from your computer" reinstalling doesnt work. and then it says error 7 (windows error 126). Any help would be appreciated. Using Windows 7 enterprise on an hp Z600
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

Hey Folks...i'm totally ****** off !
^^
I canceled the update from Snowleopard to Lion by cleaning my keys ^^. Hit the wrong key i thing. Now i'm very weird ...only can start in Windows and dont know how to get my Lion Update now...Cant start in Mac OS X (Snowleopard) now
Please tell me what i have to do know
greets
< Edited By Host >Hello fuchs (guess), If you cancelled while downloading the 4GB Lion, no problem, download again. Snow Leopard should run (start holding the option key).
If you cancelled during the install process, I do not know. In this case you could try to start with the CMD + R keys pressed, and choose the restore, which may work if the creation of the restore partition of Lion has finished.
If that does not work, reinstall Snow Leopard with the CD (start holding the C key), after that download the Combo Update 10.6.8 to update the Snow Leopard completely, then redownload Lion (App Store, click "purchases" while holding the Option Key, find Lion, click "install"). If you want to have your own copy of the Lion installer, you have to copy the installer to a Memory stick or burn to DVD before you install, see else where.

Upgraded libx*** and now i cant start firefox [Solved]
Well i did a pacman -Syu , noticed lots of x libs upgrading and then rebooted , now i cant start firefox , this is the terminal output
The program 'firefox-bin' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadRequest (invalid request code or no such operation)'.
(Details: serial 1033 error_code 1 request_code 154 minor_code 2)
(Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)
Any ideas how to fix this ??Same problem here for every applications... Posted a thread here too http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?t=21050, didn't see yours.

Equium L20 - Unable to start up Windows in any mode
Hello
I was wondering if you can help me. I have an Equium L20 -197, windows xp home edition. (Also technically challenged! :)) When I started my laptop first time today, I got this message -
"We are sorry for the inconvenience but windows did not start up successfully..."
and it gave me a few methods of starting it up:
Safe Mode
Safe Mode with Networking
Safe Mode with Command Prompt
Last Know Good Configuration (your most recent settings that worked)
and
Start Windows Normally
I was able to start press start windows normally and computer started fine. I shut down the computer OK, then restarted it later on without any problems. I then restored to an earlier setting as system was not running well. Restore seemed to go OK but then my computer froze, so had to shut down by pressing down the power button.
However, the laptop will now not reboot. Just as I think it is starting it goes to the error message and none of the options will work to start the computer and I am now stuck on an endless loop of the above message.
I do not want to use the product recovery disc, as it will wipe all of the hard drive and I have info that I need to access! I do have a product recovery CD for a Fujitsu that has windows xp home edition sp 1 on it. Is there any way that I can use this to start my computer or is there something else that I should do? I was thinking of pressing F12 and if it is possible to use the other disc Fujitsu to kick start my system but not sure if that is possible. I did not have an xp disc installation disc from toshiba, when I bought the computer. :(
I have been told by a computer guy over the phone that it sounds as if I need a new hard drive but would like to explore other methods before going down that route.
Many thanks in advance for any help that you can give me. SusiHi SusiB_1,
Unfortunately if you cant start Windows in any these modes you have only one option and this is reinstalling Windows. I mean what you should do?! You can do nothing in this case
As you wrote the Toshiba recovery disk wipes the whole HDD and thats right because its necessary to get factory settings back. But normally you should have a backup of your data or not???
If not you can access the data if you put the HDD in an external HDD case. From another computer you have access to these data now.
By the way: For Toshiba recovery disk you dont need a product key. Everything is already be done in recovery image and no activation is necessary. :) -
