Cant submit a new app, iTunes Connect times out

I posted this in another area on the forum but I think I put it in the wrong section so I'm reposting (sorry about the bad etiqute).
Im trying to submit an app for review but everytime I get to the stage where it connects to the iTunes Connect section, I get a time out.   Is anyone else experiencing this?  Is there any update on when they will be up and running again?

No update on status....no news....no warning....no hope.
iTC is once again living up to it's reputation of being run by clueless summer interns.
We all just have to wait it out...

  • ITunes Connect times out when trying to deploy an iOS app

    Ive been trying for the past hour to submit an app via xCode and as it trys to log into iTunes Connect I get a time out error.  Is anyone else realizing this issue?  Does anyone know whats happening and when we can expect it to be back up?

    Probably a temporary outage on the backend. Try again and it will probably work.

  • Can't Download iPhone Apps - Network Connection Times Out?

    Having problem downloading apps from iTunes for my iPhone 3GS via my desktop computer running Windows XP on a network with a Windows Server 2003 and a T-1 Internet connction.  The apps appear as "available for download" on he iTunes page. The connection starts but nothing downloads.  Error message says "network connection timed out." I checked password and is fine. I checked with IT guy who confirmed we have no firewall issue.  He thought probles was with ISP but ISP says there no proxy or any blocking.  When I try downloading directly to iPhone via WiFi in same network,  (via Linksys 54G router)  I also have the same problem.  Yet, if I turn off the WiFi, the apps download fine to the phone.  (I also cannot stream YouTube videos or Pandora music to the iPhone via the WiFi though those do appear to work on the desktop).  Any ideas?

    Thanks Diesel. But as I wrote above that is what I suspected.  So I had my IT guy come in to double check and he confirmed that the firewall was off and that we do not use a proxy. I also ran the diagnostic from iTunes Help and re connectivity it reported firewall off and no proxy. I connect fine to the iTune Store and to the update server, etc. only timeout when downloading purchases from store.  My IT guy thought problem was with our ISP. But I opened trouble ticket with them and they reported back that they are not blocking a d ran traceroute from their server at NOC to iTunes with no problem.  They suggested was a password issue with iTunes but I double-checked and confirmed that is not the problem...

  • Itunes update to firmware fails, because connection times out.

    I have been unsuccessfully attempting to update my iphone 3gs and ipad to iOS 5 for over a month now.  I have spent many, many hours on this, and many phone calls to apple support.  I disable Norton 360, and windows firewall, and my firewall on my router.  I've tried updating my router's firmware, which bricked the router--thanks apple for insisting this was the problem, and I have replaced the router, with a new one.  Itunes diagnostics gives me the following information.  I am using itunes as the administrator in Windows 7, 64 bit, although itunes doesn't recognize it, unless I reinstall it as the administrator, but then once I restart the computer, itunes no longer recognizes that I using Windows as an admin.
    Also, the firmware cannot update, because the connection times out, despite all my firewalls, and antivirus being turned off.
    I've tried downloading iOS 5 and then updating using restore, but that didn't work.  I've poured through support forums, and error codes: I get 1611, etc.  Cannot seem to resolve this.
    Any ideas?

  • ITunes connection timed out problem. Please help

    Hey guys, I've purchased an iPod Touch 4th Gen recently but a problem I've had after installing iTunes is connecting to the internet. I haven't even got the software on the iPod Touch due to an error - "iTunes could not connect to the iTunes store. The network connection timed out. Make sure your internet settings are correct and your network connection is active, then try again"
    Here's a similar error message which comes up -
    http://turbo.inquisitr.com/wp-content/2009/11/itunes-connection-timed-out.jpg
    The frusterating thig is that know one has a clue about the problem or the solution. I've tried everything you name it, from disabling the firewall, disabling the anti-virus, disabling any other programs which may affect iTunes. I've tinkered with the different internet setting, looked out programs allowed in the firewall and iTunes is definitely allowed. And my internet connection is perfect and very very fast. I don't use wireless but an Ethernet cable. There are absolutely NO problems with my internet connection WHATSOEVER.
    So I was thinking whether the time I decided to install is the problem? Maybe it was peak time (I tried it at 17:00pm UK Time) and now its 22:25pm UK time. Maybe it's a time where many users are online? But if that was the case surely I would have been successful atleast once?
    Please help, I'm getting really really desperate. Thanks you ever so much

    You need to place the iPod in recovery mode and then connect it to your new computer and restore it via iTunes. Note that you will lose all content on the iPod. You can redownload apps at no additional cost provided you are signed into the same iTunes account that originally purchased the apps.

  • '' WHY DO I GET THIS NOTIFICATION '' CONNECTION TIME OUT'' ?

    Endless countless millions of people are trying to authenticate AFTER downloading the new IOS.

  • E51 Wireless Lan - Net Connection Time Out

    Hi all,
    I cant get my E51 to open websites. It connects to my wireless LAN fine, but I get the message Net Connection Time Out when I try to browse to any website. Before the message comes up, it takes a minute or so of blank screen before the error message appears.
    I have a netgear router and I use WEP. The key is entered correctly.
    Has anyone come across this before?

    this probably is a case of a bug in ur device so what u can try are: plz make a back up
    take out your sim card and put in *#7780# to restore factory settings. you should not lose any data, but all settings will go into default. try that first.
    the second option is a reset *#7370# this one will erase all of your data, 'wipe the phone clean' and restore to factory settings. see if any of these options work and if you are able to use your phone as you like/need to.
    the third option U can go in for a hard reset which will turn ur device as it left the factory totally new
    U can also update/reinstall ur firmware and see the result...
    Also use ur device without the memory card and see
    in case of ur memory card there are different options available to you to get rid of the corrupt/unwanted data in your card.
    menu--tools--memory---options---format memory card......
    remember everything including ur factory installed apps will be deleted......... but u can always download them later either from nokia or google them...
    or insert ur card in any reader or laptop and check for virus and also the hidden folders.......

  • Upgrading iOS 4.0 to 4.1 (Connection time out error)

    Hello any help will be highly appreciated..
    I currently have a 3rd gen iPod Touch 32gb, with iOS 4.0.2 installed and working perfectly. I am now pestered to download and update to the newest version 4.1 every time I sync my iPod, which I have no problem doing..
    Problem is every time I agree to download this update iTunes downloads the update then when it has just finished downloading (remains in the "downloads" in itunes folder) appears that it is processing the download, after about 4 minutes of it finsihing downloading and appearing to be processing it gives me an error saying there is a connection time out issue, to check my internet connection and try again.
    I have tried at least 1 dozen,or more times to do this. It has done the same thing every time.
    It won't let me restore my iPod because when i try to do so it asks me to "Update and Restore" which it cant update! so its pretty frustrating.
    The iPod works fine no problems, it just comes to when trying to download this update.
    Is there anything I can do? Would I be able to try and update it on another computer?
    Thank you for any assistance, im just sick of seeing the "a new ipod update is a vailable, download now?" pop-up every time I plug in the iPod.

    Hello!
    Been encountering the same problem for two days, drove me crazy! Tried everything, including disabling the firewall and antivirus but nothing worked, so here is what worked with me:
    *If you use Internet Explorer, do the following:*
    *First close iTunes then go to Internet Explorer > Tools > Internet Options > Advanced Tab and then scroll until you get to the ''Security'' section, uncheck the box that says: Check for server certificate revocation* and now launch iTunes and try again.* Hope this works for you as well!

    Could you guys please help me out here?
    Thanks.

    That tnsping error indicates several possible problems, most related to the setup for the client. Or network setup on the database server host.
    Connecting to a database using sqlnet requires three things, the database host, the listener port, and the ORACLE_SID or instance SERVICE_NAME.
    The tnsping utility is only concerned with the first two items, host and port. It will not perform an actual connection, and will not verify the tnsalias ORACLE_SID or SERVICE_NAME values.
    An "OK" result from tnsping verifies that the specified host has a listener running at the specified port and it is servicing connections.
    Since you're not getting an "OK" from tnsping, could be something is blocking the connection (i.e. firewall), the host= specification is not correct, or the port= spec is not correct. Note that host= must either be a valid and correct hostname, or a an IPv4 address. If IPv6 is in the mix, only the correct hostname will work. A hostname that resolves correctly.
    Look at your network interface setup on the host, find its IP address, make sure the IP will `ping`, and try a new sqlnet.ora entry with the IPv4 address.
    ifconfig -a
    <interface>: flags=...
    inet n.n.n.n
    # in sqlnet.ora:
    xe2 = ... host=n.n.n.n ...
    tnsping xe2
    ... ok? ...

  • Java Socket Connection Time out

    Goal*
    I want to check host/port availability of computers in our network (~100 computers) .. Just check if host is alive and if it has port 445 opened. I want to do this somehow in parallel, so the code execution is as quick as possible.
    My implementation*
    I do this by creating socket connection to the host. Something like this:
            Socket s = null;
            try {
                s = new Socket();
                InetSocketAddress socketAddress = new InetSocketAddress(ipAddress, 445);
                s.connect(socketAddress, 3000);
                if (s.isConnected()) {
                    // do something
            } catch (ConnectException ex) {
                //exception thrown
            } catch (IOException ex1) {
                //exception thrown
            } finally {
                try {
                    // close socket
                    s.close();
                } catch (IOException ex) {
                    Logger.getLogger(ComputerModel.class.getName()).log(Level.SEVERE, null, ex);
            }This code is executed in a loop, where a separate thread is created for every iteration = ~100 separate threads.
    Problem:*
    1.
    It seems to me, that first ~10-15 connections are created ok, but then my code reaches 'IOException' catch block for every subsequent itteration and ex.getMessage() returns "connection time out" (I try to use different timeout values in the 2nd parameter. Values from 3000 up to 20000).
    Is it valid to create 100 separate threads in a loop? Can't I make my NIC to bussy with this ??? What is the maximum ammount of threads, I can create? I did not use threads before, so I have no idea, if max values are near to 10, 100, 1000, or 10000 ..
    2.
    After my code is executed, I enter 'netstat -an' command in my command line and I get bunch of connections, which report status of SYN_SENT for several connections.
    TCP 10.20.11.140:4557 10.30.11.119:445 SYN_SENT
    TCP 10.20.11.140:4558 10.30.11.176:445 SYN_SENT
    TCP 10.20.11.140:4559 10.30.11.100:445 SYN_SENT
    TCP 10.20.11.140:4560 10.30.11.142:445 SYN_SENT
    TCP 10.20.11.140:4561 10.30.11.171:445 SYN_SENT
    TCP 10.20.11.140:4562 10.30.11.143:445 SYN_SENT
    TCP 10.20.11.140:4563 10.30.12.12:445 SYN_SENT
    TCP 10.20.11.140:4564 10.30.12.11:445 SYN_SENT
    TCP 10.20.11.140:4565 10.30.12.21:445 SYN_SENT
    TCP 10.20.11.140:4566 10.30.11.150:445 SYN_SENT
    I also feel, that my computer network response (e.g. firefox browsing) is a bit slower ..
    How shall I handle this problem properly?
    Thx in advance,
    Juraj

    The documentation for netstat explains what SYN_SENT is, but
    I don't know why you have them.The app has asked the TCP stack to transmit SYN
    the TCP stack is now waiting for SYN-ACK.
    If there is no host at that IP address or a host that drops connections (SYN packets) for TCP port 445
    there will never be a SYN-ACK.
    After a few minutes the TCP stack will time out the connection attempt.Yes, I was rather commenting on why his hosts aren't answering. I thought that his case was that all of them should answer :)Akkurat. I was answering more for clarification.
    Someone who does not know your posting history could easily assume you meant
    it was a mystery why netstat was showing SYN_SENT.
    And I figured it would not harm to hint that one possible reason would be that those machines are powered off (no host).

  • Connection time-out issues each first try of pacman

    Hi,
      I am new to arch. I keep getting a connection time-out each time I use pacman for the first time. I have to do a ctrl+z to stop the command and then delete the db.lck file and then when I run pacman again, any operation on pacman that I had tried works flawlessly.
      Do I need to do something to fix this? I check there was a similar thread in 2012, but it ended without any results.
    Cheers,

    geekoo wrote:@WonderWoofy: The second time on it works with the same mirrors. I am using the Indian http mirror at the top of the list. US mirror follows. When it fails, it takes a sweet 30 odd minutes to run through all of the mirrors and fails.
    I'm pretty sure you can disable all the mirrors you don't want to use, try lowering the list to only those in Asia to minize your waiting time atleast. I get a time-out occasionally on the first run, but running anything inside China's GFW is a roll of the dice.

    I don't think the post can be edited after 10 or 15 minutes, what madking can do is ask host to remove it from this forum.

    Whenever i am trying to sync applications from latop to iphone i am getting the message. Network connection time out.

    Not sure if this will help or not... but is the iPhone and your laptop on the same wireless network when you try this? Does that wireless network have a good connection?
    If nothing else works... try hard-syncing (plugging in) your iPhone to your laptop, and then start up iTunes.
    I hope this helps... let me know if it does/doesn't!
