  • 4.2.1 update done, now I cant transfer music!

    Hey All,
I've just updated my iphone 3g to 4.2.1. All looks good, speed is better, but everytime I try to transfer music from iTunes to my phone, I'm just getting a message pop up saying that iTunes has stopped working, and then it closes when you click ok.
I've tried repairing the installation, but that hasn't helped at all.
Any ideas what else I can try?
    Paul

    You've tried a phone reset?
Disconnected - Hold Home and Power/Sleep for around 10 secs until the Apple logo re-appears.
Then wait until the restart is complete before attaching the phone to iTunes 10.1.

Then i wanted to put videos on there and when i went to plug it in it wasnt there, so my ipod doesnt show up on itunes and sometimes when i plug it in it freezes itunes, one time i did get it to show up but it wouldnt let me transfer for some reason.
Now ive tried the 5 r's and everything else so could u please help me on this i cant stand it any more.

If you're running windows that the reason. I've had the same prob. Try disconnected your iPad and then open iTunes when your iPad isn't connected and make sure it's not bombed out then close it. Then try putting it back in and take the prices slowly do
Nt. rush it to open that mostly when I get the problem. If that's doesn't work reboot your iPad while holding down both the sleep/wake and home button for 10 seconds then switch it back on normally after about 5 seconds

  • I can recharge my Zen Micro VIA USB, but I cant transfer songs....

    Hello,
Using the USB Port on my PC, I can successfully recharge my Zen Micro. But for some reason, I cant transfer music to it. Whenever I go to the "Zen Micro Media Explorer", I always get an explorer error for some reason, and it says "Zen Micro Not Connected"
I try other programs, such as WindowsMedia Player, real player, and NOTMAD Explorer, and they cant connect to the Zen Micro either (player not connected error)
Does anyboy know why? And can anybody please help.
    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for all the input.
    I've Solved the problem!
I called up Creative Tech Support, and they said to reinstall the software, which I did. Now it works perfectly. Thanks for all the support though. I think Creative's tech support is good, not as bad as people claim it to be.

  • Zen Micro. I cant transfer the mu

Hi everybody. My english is bad but i will try to explain my problem though. I have a Zen Micro 5 giga since 3 years. I have the last firmware in it. I dont format since or maybe more year couse i have a lots of music inside. Many many times, when i try to transfer music using Zen Micro Media Explorer the green line stops and the Micro doesnt work anymore. So after i have to go into recovery mode. When i clean the % goes over 800%, sometimes 000%. For "cleaning" it takes at least 2/3 minuts. After i reboot. The 2? or 3. time i can transfer the music (by now). Sometimes i have to convert with Altomp3 Gold the songs i cant transfert from Mp3 to Mp3 but using the default settings of this softwere (28bit)My questions are:Why i cant transfer music at the first try?I should format often? Why the "cleaning" goes over 800%?Thank's for any answer

  • I had first registered my iPhone with an old laptop, the computer is no longer functional.  I cant now transfer music from my iTunes account to my phone, I am not sure what to do any suggestions?

I had first registered my iPhone with an old laptop, the computer is no longer functional.  I cant now transfer music from my iTunes account to my phone, I am not sure what to do any suggestions?

Iphone will sync itunes content with one computer at a time.  If you sync to another, it will erase the current content and replace with content from the new computer.
    What have you tried?
    What happened?

  • Cant transfer all of the music.why?

When I transfer music to my ipod, some of it wont transfer.
I get this message: cant copy ... file due to network settings or disk failure. When I tried to restore the IPOD I had to reset it because it could not restore because of disk failiure. After restoring it the same thing occurred. And when I disconnected it from the computer it froze.
The next day it was working again, I had to recharge the battery. Could the Ipod be defect ? or could it be anything else?

These are two possible approaches that should work to move the existing library to the new laptop.
    Method 1
Backup the library with this User Tip.
Restore the backup to your new computer using the same tool used to back it up.
Deauthorize the old computer if you no longer want to access protected content on it.
Keep your backup up-to-date in future.
    Method 2
Connect the two computers to the same network. Share your <User's Music> folder from the old computer and copy the entire iTunes library folder into the <User's Music> folder on the new one. Again, deauthorize the old computer if no longer required.
Both methods should give the new computer a working clone of the library that was on the old one. As far as iTunes is concerned this is still the "home" library for your devices so you shouldn't have any issues with iTunes wanting to erase are reload.
I'd recommend method 1 since it establishes an ongoing backup for your library.
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your library or a backup of it then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

  • HT201263 After updating to ios 8 through itunes, I lost my music and now I cant transfer some music from itunes (macbook pro) to my iphone 4s back

After updating to ios 8 through itunes, I lost my music and now I cant transfer some music from itunes (macbook pro) to my iphone 4s back. Any idea how can I do that?

After posting this, I've since found out that my iOS iTunes App on my iPhone 6 Plus works all OK when on WiFi, it just won't work when on the data/3/4G connection.
Anybody else having this same issue since updating to iOS 8.3?

  • Cant transfer my music on my laptop

I have a laptop with iTunes on it and it has all of my music on it. I can transfer songs to and from my iPod Mini easily and it works fine, but when I go to try and transfer music to my iPhone it wont do it. It says session has timed out. But I have a Gateway desktop PC and Im able to transfer songs from the PC to my iPhone.

iPods and iDevices in general do not get installed... they are synced with the computer.
iDevices are not backup devices, use the backup of the computer to put the content back.

  • HT1386 step four waiting for transfer to complete does not stop?  i cant get music to sync from my PC onto my i phone?

cant sync music from my pc to the phone step 4 gets stuck

Thanks for the help Rudegar but I still have the issue. Itunes does not recognize the phone in the Sync process. While I understand your original point that "what default behaviour one set the computer to do with usb devices connected don't have anything to do with itunes syncing". Do you know how to change the default setting so when I connect my phone via USB, I get the dialoug box to choose what action to take?

  • Cant Transfer songs HELP!!!!

i cant transfer song to my ipod mini, it says it can not read or written in the disc. In the itunes there exist a small lock just beside the bar showing the capacity left in the ipod.
    HELP!! what should i do??

"i cant transfer song to my ipod mini, it says it can not read or written in the disc"
See if this helps: "-36 or "Disk cannot be read from or written to" when syncing iPod or "Firmware update failure" error when updating or restoring iPod
"In the itunes there exist a small lock just beside the bar showing the capacity left in the ipod."
A lock symbol at the bottom of the screen and grey text when you look at the content and simply shows that your iPod is set to "automatically update songs and playlists". . If you want to access your iPod directly, play it through your iTunes, connect it to a second computer etc. you just need to change the update method to "Manually manage songs and Playlists" in the iPod preferences. For more detail see this tutorial: Managing Your Songs Manually
One thing to be aware of with manually updating is that the iPod also has to be manually ejected before the "Do Not Disconnect" message will go away. Safely disconnect iPod
    For info: iPod 101
The iPod offers three ways to transfer music from your computer. You can select one of the following update modes from the iPod Preferences menu in iTunes (Edit=>Preferences=>'iPod' tab):
    1) Automatically update all songs and playlists. This is the default mode, in which your entire music library, including playlists, is automatically synced to your iPod. If the music library on your computer exceeds the iPod storage capacity, you are prompted to select a different update method.
    2) Automatically update selected playlists only. With this option, iTunes automatically copies the playlists you have selected to the iPod when you connect it to the computer.
    3) Manually manage songs and playlists. You can also choose to transfer music to the iPod manually. This allows you to drag and drop individual songs and playlists from iTunes to the iPod.

    Hello Matt,
It sounds like you are trying to transfer music from your iPod to your computer.  I found an article with information on transferring media from your iPod to your computer:
iTunes: Transferring media from your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or iPod

You can also use steps from the following article to download your past iTunes purchases directly from the iTunes Store on the computer:

  • How do I transfer music from my Nano to my new Macbook Pro?

I have recently purchased a new MacBook Pro Ret and I cant work out how to transfer music from my Nano to the Mac

You need to make the new Mac iTunes library your syncing library. iTunes on the Mac sees your iPad as a new device because you have never synced with this computer before. You can make the Mac your syncing computer by following the instructions in this user tip. You will be able to transfer the purchased music on the iPad into iTunes when you follow this procedure.
    Syncing to a new computer.
