Cant turn off dynamic range control

i have a 40ft2u1 and i cannot for the life of me figure out how to turn off the dynamic range control ..it shows it audio set-up but it is not selectable
any help here would be kind

You mean VoiceOver?
First try triple-tapping the Home button
If not:
Settings > General > Accessibility > VoiceOver > VoiceOver - Off
Tap once to select an item
Double-Tap to activate the selected item
Swipe three fingers to scroll

Hi, I have the same problem which, strangely, only started today.
I’m running OS X 10.5.5 with iTunes 8.0.2 on a late 2006, 20-inch, 2.33ghz iMac.
If I go to the Controls menu I can select “Turn Shuffle Off” from the “Shuffle” menu but it when I go back in it has reverted to whatever shuffle option had been previously selected.
As I haven’t updated, or installed any software in a few days I thought it was probably a corrupted preference file but deleting the iTunes plist file and rebooting my mac made no difference.
I’m wondering if there a preference file I’ve missed.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You need to reset the phone, but that requires a functioning on/off (lock) button. Time to visit Apple.

If you're sure that the update isn't still happening then have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds, after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

It may just take a few minutes for some reason... I've seen this happen when I've switched between Airplay speaker sets, used Remote with my ATV2, etc. Seems like it just gets in a look trying to deactivate streams or something. But the steps suggested previously should work, that's how I force it off when this happens.

If you want, you can disable the IR port in order to be able to stop control your computer with the Apple Remote. To do it, open System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General > Advanced, and mark "Disable remote control infrared receiver"

From your iCloud account, you can go to Find My Phone and remove the iPhone from your devices list which will release it, or you could do a remote erase of the iPhone from iCloud.

I have ios 7 and lately when im turning off cellular data for some apps when i leave settings and go back in they have turned on back again by themselves. It appears as if i cant turn off cellular data for the apps i want. Any tips?

I have ios 7 and lately when i go to settings-cellular and try to turn off cellular data for some apps it doesnt work. As i turn off cellular data for one app immideately after i exit settings and re-enter settings cellular data for that same app goes back on again by itself. That happens for most of my apps and is reqlly annoying. Whats more annoying is that when i am not using wifi even though the settings for cellular data for safari or facebook or some other app are turned on (since i cant turn them off as i mentioned) i get the message that cellular data is turned off for this app and i cant use the internet at all on cellular data. I have reset to factory settings and restored from backup and the problem persists. Is there some help or tips you can offer me?

How do i turn off the headphone controls on my iphone?

My headphones appear to be broken, or at least on the way to being broken. When I'm listening to music on my iphone with them they keep pausing or skipping the song. It's really annoying is there a way of turning off the controls on my headphones so they don't interfere with my music?

Cant turn off computer

Hi,
I just upgraded from 10.3.9 to 10.4.3 and since then I cant get my computer to turn off. I press the "shut down" or "restart" option and it takes forever, it never turns off, I've left it there for like 20 min and nothing!!! the only way to turn it off is by holding the power button for a few seconds.

I tried putting my computer to sleep, and it goes to sleep and wakes up with no problem. I deleted the file, but I still have the same problem.
I also forgot to mention that my computer wont shut off even when i just turned it on, opened no programs, and try to shut it down.
Also, when all my desktop's icons dissapear after pressin shut down or restart, the arrow of the mouse appears there, no circle (as if trying to close some program), i can move the arrow everywhere, i tryed pressing commandoptionesc but it doesnt open any window.The comp just wont turn off

Wifi keeps on getting disconnected/ cant turn off iphone/ cant open messages

My wifi keeps on getting disconnected ever since I updated my iphone to ios 7.2
and when I go to settings, when I click wifi, my iphone hangs.
i cant open my messages folder. it just shows a blank page...
and lastly, I cant turn it off. no matter how long I press the power/lock button, nothing happens..
I tried to reset it, but it cant detect my wifi connection, but my mac does..

Cant turn off the ken burns effect

The ken burns effect (why is that on by default for crissakes?) cannot be tuned off!!!! I have about 10 images in a movie made up of about 100 still images on which the ken burns effect cannot be turned off. I tried unchecking the ken burns check box & hitting the update button, but it immediately turns itself back on!! Tis is with iMovie 3, and as i said, it affects only the first 10 or so images in this particular project.

I know, sometimes it feels like Ken Burns has a mind of its own. It WILL do what you want, but first you have to figure out its rules.
The most important is that all of the Ken Burns settings, the KB checkbox, zoom, pan and duration are controlled by the LAST imported clip you made, or a previously-imported clip you clicked on. THAT's what sets the default setting for your next import(s). (A very nice feature, by the way, for it lets you apply the Ken Burns settings of one clip to the next photos you import. You don't have to reconfigure settings each time.)
That also means that when you uncheck the KB checkbox that won't "stick". When you click on some other clip it may change.
So when updating an existing clip, the trick is to select the clip, THEN adjust the Ken Burns settings, THEN Update the clip.
A complicating factor is that previously-imported photos to which special effects or other editing has been applied are no longer considered Ken Burns clips, so clicking on them doesn't have the same result.
So pay close attention to what you click on, and even closer attention to whether or not there is a clip selected or an image selected in the Photos pane selected. iMovie will select a photo on its own when you haven't selected something.
It works like you want, but first you have to see that what it does is you want.

Apple logo keeps repeating, cant turn off even after using MENU+Middle

Whenever I was uploading music to my ipod, then i check the music and when I click on it (on my Ipod) nothing playing, i restart the Ipod now the Apple logo repeats itself over and over and i cant turn it off or get it to work. HELP.

leave it connected to the computer for a while and try the reset ( menu and middle button) again....
if the apple logo is still the only thing appearing i would go ahead and send that in for repair

Cant turn off iCloud

(Really bad at wording things haha, sorry!), but....
I recently just upgraded from an iPhone 4 to an iPhone 5 and I'm trying to erase all content and settings from the 4. I rang up my network to activate my new phone and they have cut off the service from my iPhone 4. So, when I put in my iCloud password to erase everything, it comes up with 'Verification Failed - The Internet connection appears to be offline.'
Is there any way i can turn off my iCloud without having internet connection?

Nope. It says no service as my network have cutt off the connection because I now use another phone...
