Cant Update from Logic 9.0.2 to 9.1

Hi There,
i'm on a MacBookPro5,1, Intel Core 2 Duo, 2,66 GHz, 4 GB with Mac OS X 10.6.8 and i'm tryng to update my Logic Pro 9.0.2 to Logic 9.1 without any sucess.
After runing the Logic Pro 9.1 Update this message comes up "YOUR COMPUTER DOES NOT NEED THIS UPDATE". And after runing the Logic Pro 9.1.5 update the information that the Software was instaled with sucess but when i open logic it still on 9.0.2
I have all my logic versions (Logic Pro 7 , 8 and 9) on the Aplications Folder i never changed place and i never re-name the name of the aplication how some people sugest here in the forum.
Any help about this issue?

I've been working on this for days and it seems like
nothing I try works. My major problems are:
1. I have no idea how to read the text file and load

2. I can't seem to create a textfile that looks like
text for the output file.The java.io package has file reading/writing classes.

HT1918 after succesfully updating apps for 18 months I am now told I cant update from the US store as I am in NZ. I dont know how to reset this. I have never accessed anything from the US

Cant update from ios 6 beta 4 to GM

Keeps saying software is up to date when i check wirelessly and through iTunes.

To update from ios 6 Beta 4 to GM you need to follow these steps:
1. Connect Iphone to computer with itunes running.
2. Turn of iphone
3. Hold down off button for 3 second
4. While holding down off button hold the home button for 10 seconds
5. after the 10 seconds let go of the off botton and wait for 6 seconds
6. Wait then follow the Itunes restor and update walkthrough and it will download the latest version and update your Iphone for you.
I hope this works for everyone and can comfirm worked for my Iphone 4s

Updating from Logic 5

Alright - here's my situation. I had and used Logic 5.0 for a long time on a computer that had an OS 9 startup disc available (as well as an OS X disc). I recently purchased the new OS, 10.5. I had to do an "erase disc and install" to get the new operating system to work. I figured I'd just reinstall my old Logic to do the upgrade. Problem is Logic 5.0 doesn't want to install on OS X. I don't know how I ever had OS 9 on my computer (it came that way when I bought it). Of course, my Logic 8 upgrade disc won't work unless i already have Logic 5 installed on my computer. SO, how do I reinstall my Logic 5.0? IS there an update or something that will allow it to be installed on OS X or is there a way for me to get OS 9 again (and then partition it off on another part of the disc?). So confused. Please help. Thanks!

I think the good news is if you still have the original install discs that came with your mac, os 9 will be there. The next step would then be to upgrade to os 9 "classic" from apple.com/downloads.
I'd imagine there wouldn't be any problems with Leopard cooperating with os9 - If I'm not mistaken, intel-based macs don't support os 9, so you're good on that end.
If you don't have the factory install discs.... I guess you can always try and work it out with someone directly from apple. Perhaps mailing back your LS8 box and they send you a full version? Just a guess.
On the side: I first got on board with Logic at version 5. Platinum. Man, those were the days. It was only 2002, but I thought I was so bad with my brand new powerbook G4 400MGHz OS9 and Logic 5 and Reason 1.5 (if I remember correctly). That system was burnin'!

Cant upgrade from logic 7.0

when i try and install the upgrade from 7.0 to 7.0.1 or any other update, it says it cannot find logic in applications. when i launch logic it launches fine.
any reason for this?

The Logic Application HAS TO BE in the following folder:
Macintosh HD / Applications/ IN HERE
If you have moved it to another location, that is why your Mac cannot update it...

What was biggest issue when updating from Logic 6 to Logic 7?

I'm switching this week by purchasing update (Logic 6 to 7). Was everything seamless? Will all my Sampletank plugs work fine? Will I have to re-authorize all non logic plug-ins (sampletank, Soundsoap, etc). Do garageband instruments and loops transfer auomatically? Will all current Logic preferences carry over to Logic 7? Please tell experiences on actual update. How does XS key get updated?

hi dale, yes everybody's had issues - we're just too bored and tired with the whole buggy mess to respond. just read some of the messages by rohan, armag.,ishwartz and stash to get the picture.
if it works great already, keep it going and add the upgrades cautiously.
stick the new stuff on its own drive and thrash it, day in day out, until you trust it. don't leave yourself without a back door (os9 is mine).

G4 iBook - Cant update from Vers 10.4.03 to 10.4.11 even from Apple site

It gets all the way to the end then a msg come up disc failed to mount.
I have tried a few times.
Even when i try it from the apple icon and update software it then gets to the very end and a screen says i must restart the computer but it won't install.
My iBook seems to be unable to read any cds now ...
I don't have the original installations discs for Tiger ...
It is possible to buy them i see but if my drive isn't reading ...
Help!

Hi LondonBoy777, and a warm welcome to the forums!
Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions.
PS. Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.
Reapply the Combo update...

I have purchased new blackberry Z10 from Canada Telus.
Now i moved to India and I have unlocked my carrier with Telus to use my Z10 in India.
I am glad to use that in India as well but i am unable to update the software from 10.0.9.2372.

I wouldn't wipe. I would reload the OS:
To reload the OS after you have backed up your personal files, you should:

logic pro was recently priced at 199, effectively replacing logic express. it seems as though apple should allow logic express users to get the additional functionality of logic pro withought buying the entire product again.

@Blueberry - lol I wonder if you'll sing the same tune if they discontinue logic pro and then force you to buy "logic studio" for $500 (current price 2012). See this guy's comment on the product page of the online store:

OS 10.6.8 + Logic 9.1.6/7 is the most stable combo that will run on intel based Mac. Trust me.. I tried the rest. I would prefer to go back to logic pro 7 but once again No reverse compatibility.
Hopefully the 2software developers... Yes two... still working on logic will at least make it stable again so we can finish our mixes and move to another software manufacturer.

Cant update from 10.4.3 to 10.4.x

I have a PowerBook G4. I just reformatted the hard drive and did a clean
install of 10.4.3 from the DVD.
When I do a software update the only update that it is listing is iTunes.
I then downloaded the 10.4.4 standalone combo PPC update, but when I try to
install it
says that my system doesn't meet the requirements. As far as I can tell the
requirements for 10.4.4 are the same as for 10.4.3.
I also tried then 10.4.10 update, had the same problem. I believe that I had
10.4.11 previously on the computer.
What gives?
