Cant update iphone5 6.0.1 to ios7
hi. im from philippines and i have iphone 5 model A1429 with firmware version 6.0.1
i cant update my firmware to ios7. i tried it several times but unfortunately, i always get this kind of message
the iphone "GUAPO" could not be updated. an unknown error occured (3194)
i tried it manually using shift+update but still. please help! thanks!
I just did a quick Google search on the error message you are getting. It seems as though all reports I saw on it were happening to people who had jailbroken their iPhones, and they had to use some other hacks to get around the error. Since jailbroken iPhones are not allowed to be discussed here, you probably won't find too many answers on this forum.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
If your problem persists get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
Reconnect the power cable (only for Apple TV 3)
Open iTunes.
Select your Apple TV in the Devices list, and then click Restore.
(You may already have a micro USB cable if you have a camera or other digital device) -

Are you using iTunes to update your iPad? ID you are running iOS. 4.3, you must use iTunes on a computer according to the instructions in the kb article that led you to this support site.
If you are using iTunes and you are not having any success, try disabling your firewall and antivirus software when you try again. And please, by all means, provide some details. Don't be shy or keep us guessing. Just stating that you can't update your iPad doesn't help is to help you. -

I had the same issue on my iPhone5 with iOS 7.0.2 and I solved by doing the following
1) Settings / iTunes&iStore
2) Disable everything
3) Tap on the Apple ID and sign out
4) Turn Off and On again
5) Open App Store
6) Update Manually (like you did before iOS7)
7) Re-activate again automatic updates -

The screen you're seeing on your iPhone indicates it is in recovery mode. Now since the device is not appearing in iTunes on your PC, first follow the steps in this article:

I had the same problem today and was able to resolve it without having to do a restore or reset. The problem had something to do with my mail accounts. The upgrade reset my mail settings, switching both my gmail and my .mac mail to "archive all mail". I went into the General Settings, disabled that setting, and resynced the phone. The "other" storage allottment dropped back down to less than a gig.
Before you restore or reset, I would try that first. -

It would be best for you to open iTunes, sign in and view your account. If all the purchases were paid already instead of entering your new card information, it will give you an option for "NONE" as a payment method. Again this is not applicable of you have a pending charges with iTUnes
