Cant update latest photoshop via desktop clous app

I get a notification to update the latest photoshop cc via my destop cc app. I have all programs closed and the update gets to 53% when it stops working........ i get a message that the update cant update. It tell me to close photoshop.exe
The software is already closed, unopened.
This has just started happening for the last update.  I have been using the membership over 8 months.
What is the solution

Ruthradraw if you are receiving a notification to close the Photoshop application then please utilize the task manager to ensure the process is closed.

    I don't think there is any upgrade that you can purchase for CS2.  If you need to reinstall CS2 then see the following...

    1. Maybe you have to activate/deactivate, so please have a look there:

    2, Sometimes, we know in the meantime, the "opm.db file" is the culprit. In this case you should delete it.
    3. Did you already try "uninstalling and re-installing"?
    Be careful with (de)installing aso. by (de)installing by your own resources. As much as I regret it and as strange as it may seem I fear it's a challenge for Adobe's Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool.
    Sometimes - for whatever reasons - CC doesn't "want" to work. In this case you should CC completely delete and reinstall by help of Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool. (A try to uninstall by own resources is not enough!)

    Have you uninstalled your current installation of Photoshop CS6, by using the uninstaller located in Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers, and then reinstalled and applied the update?

    Frammis do you receive any specific error message?  If you are trying to apply an update then I would recommend reviewing the installation log files.  For information on how to locate and interpret the installation log files please see Troubleshoot install issues with log files | CC - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cc.html.  Please feel free to post any specific errors you discover to this discussion.

    I've done some research on the SQLite database. Whenever Aperture hangs up (like during auto-stack or opening the filter hud) there are thousands of SQLite queries happening. These SQLite queries cause massive file I/O because the database is stored on the disk as 1kb pages. However, the OS is caching the database file; mine's only 12MB. I'm trying to track down some performance numbers for SQLite on osx but having trouble.
    It's starting to look like most of the speed problems are in the libraries that Aperture uses instead of the actual Aperture code. Of course, that doesn't completely let the developers off the hook since they choose to use them in the first place.
    Oh, and if anyone is curious, the database is completely open to queries using the command line sqlite3 tool. Here's the language reference http://www.sqlite.org/lang.html

  • Latest Photoshop CC UPDATE - ERROR Message U44MIP7

    I have tried to download this update, on the last two days and I get the same Error Message U44MIP7.  MyOS is Windows 7 on a Dell 620 with losts of memory and speed.  The update seems to download (it gets to 100% and then in a few seconds I get this Error Message U44MIP7.  I have also tried to get the update using my shortcut for CC on my desktop and I get the same response.   How do I get the latest update to Photoshop CC.  Thanks for you help.

    Try this -
    1) Restart Your Computer .. so that all the application must stop
    2) Log out of Creative Cloud App - Go to Settings - Preferances - Sign Out of Creative Cloud ..
    3) Rename OOBE Folder from Different Locations
    You Can also Run the Update after Renaming the OOBE Folder ... from the different Locations  of your computer
    Mac OS: /User/<username>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE folder  (Rename it to OOBE_OLD)
    Windows: [System drive]:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE   (Rename it to OOBE_OLD)
                                              C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE
    Login in Back to Creative Cloud and Try to run the Update ...

  • Error Code 201 and 213 when trying to install any Adobe application / Update my Creative Cloud Desktop App. Have tried troubleshooting with Online Chat Agents, no luck.

    I have been trying for 2 days now to get this resolved.
    Computer hashard wired internet connection, running Windows 7 Home Premium. No other issues with downloading or uploading from any other sites or programs. No other network issues reported on other computers.
    It started when I went to install Lightroom through my Creative Cloud. It prompted me to update my Creative Cloud Desktop App, which I went to do and then promptly got Error Code 201. I restarted my Creative Cloud and then skipped the update, hoping it was just an issue with that specific download. I clicked to install Lightroom and the same thing happened, Error code 201.
    I restarted my machine, and tried again. Same issue.
    I contacted Support. They had me go in and change a bunch of folder names to and add "old" to the end of them and then had me try using the Adobe Cleaner tool, which did not work. He had me go in and change some internet settings, still nothing. Same issues as before, only now with all the renaming of things I cannot even open programs I had previously been able to open like Photoshop.
    He instructed me to reinstall the CC Desktop App because the Cleaner tool was not recognizing that it existed anymore (probably something to do with renaming files.. just saying) and now I get the 201 Error when I try to reinstall the CC Desktop App.
    I ran out of time and had to stop after being on with them for over an hour.
    Today I contact back and was instructed to create a new user account on my computer and try downloading and installing the application in the new user. Same errors. 213 at first, restarted my computer and then got Error Code 201 again.
    I am getting really frustrated and really behind on my work. Any information someone could give me would be greatly appreciated. Currently waiting for a chat person to be available again.

    Meowia for Error 201 please see Error downloading Creative Cloud applications - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/error-downloading-cc-apps.html.  Error 213 indicates there was problem locating the update or an incorrect URL.  The troubleshooting steps are still the same as both errors are related to failure of the current network connection.

  • CameraRaw is not updated in Photoshop CC and Photoshop CC 2014. Active version is still 8.3, although 8.5 is available. AAM and CC App say everything up-to.date.

    On my Windows 7 (x64) PC I have Photoshop CC and since this morning Photoshop CC 2014. If I open a RAW or DNG file in either of them, CameraRaw version 8.3 opens. When I search for updates via Help -> Updates, no updates are found. Creative Cloud App shows no updates as well (everything up-to-date).
    For Photoshop CS6 (installed in parallel, local license, no cloud version) I got an update to CameraRaw 8.5 today. And it works in this old version.
    Tried already to download manual update from Keeping Photoshop Up-To-Date. However, Installer fails with "Update failed.Updates couldn't be installed".
    How can I make CameraRaw 8.5 available for CC / CC 2014 as well ?

    Solved ! Found another post in this forum that gave me some useful hints. You have to download Camera Raw 8.5 manually.

    The Installer didn't work, so I only unzipped the file. You can find the Camera Raw plugins in the sub-directories:

    extract file "1003" and rename it to "Camera Raw.8bi"
    copy it to c:/Program Files (x86)/Common/Adobe/Plug-ins/CC/File Formats/CameraRaw.8bi (previous CameraRaw is overwritten, you should copy old version to a save place first)

    - > payloads/AdobeCameraRaw8.0All-x64-050614143245/Assets1_1.zip
    extract file "1002" and rename it to "Camera Raw.8bi"

    Start Photoshop CC and open a RAW file to be sure it's ok now.

    Hi. I'm having a problem when trying to update apps on my Iphone 4s, running IOS version 7.0.4. When I open appstore and go into Updates tab and press to update an app the app opens instead of updating. And the "Update All" in the top right corner is grey and I cant press it. I have tried clearing space (right now i got about 2.6 GB) so that is not the problem, also tried turning it off and on again. I haven't tried updating apps via computer yet, but I want to be able to update from the phone...

    It sounds like you have more than one app to update. I'd pick one app, delete it, then download it again. Just in case there are other issues going on pick one app you can sacrifice just in case it can't be downloaded again. I don't see any reason why it shouldn't download again but it's better to err on the side of caution. If that works than try another.

    Your best bet at this point then is to contact iTunes Support and get them to straighten this out for you:

    Select the options that best apply to your issue. You will have a chance to provide a written description before you submit. iTunes Support will get back to you via email, usually within 24 hours. Be sure to check your Junk/Spam email folder if you don't hear back by then.
    They should be able to sort it out for you...

  • Since installing the latest update of Photoshop CC two days ago, Auto Blend for focus stacking is selecting all pixels from the bottom layer instead of selecting the ones in best focus from each layer. Has anyone else seen this problem?

    I installed the latest update of Photoshop CC two days ago on my Macbook Pro, and now when I try to do focus stacking by opening multiple photos and doing Auto Align and Auto Blend, the blend selects the entire bottom layer instead of selecting the in-focus areas from each layer. I even tried again on a series of images where this worked a week ago and the problem occurs. I have Photoshop on a Windows 8 machine and did not apply this latest update and it works fine. Has anyone else encountered this?

    And since installing this same update, my Photoshop is crashing just after starting.
    Ashutosh.Nigam suggested me in this forum to change the permissions to SLStore & SLCache Folder, but it did not work.
    Ali from french Adobe support told me to delete my Settings files, but it was not enough.
    A girl with no name from the same team told me to update my video card driver, but you know I run the latest Mac OS X version and everything is updated, mademoiselle.
    Stephane sent me a link to a huge page of things to do :
    -  Troubleshoot account-specific fonts, but there wasn't any corrupted font
    - Delete account-specific Adobe cache files but... guess what...
    - Troubleshoot account-specific login items but... yes, that's it, I can see you understand me
    - Reset the access settings on the user account's Library folder... oh god, that was fun, I used the Terminal and sudo commands
    I did all of these things because when I tried to open PhCC in an other admin session, it worked, so that was an incompatibility between my session and PhCC. But, but, but, when I tried again to lauch the app in the second session, it worked fine but refused to quit. Ha ha ha.
    So you can try to delete your Settings files. I wish it'll work for you. If not you can try the long list above... or hope a better answer from the support.
    I didn't change anything but Photoshop on my session and they ensure that the bug is due to my session and not to their update. Strange affair.
