Printing from InDesign asking for computer login password
Hi. Just got new MacPro, CS4 Design Premium. Every time printing from InDesign asking for computer login password. Never happened with CS3. Is there any way to avoid job holding in printer's dialog box, waiting for authentification? No problems printing from Acrobat, Photoshop or Entourage etc. Checked computer preferences, nothing shows permission/security restrictions are applied. What could cause holding print jobs from InDesign?
Here's what it says in Status field: On Hold (Authentification required)...so I have to click “Resume” every time, enter password and only then it prints.
Printer: HP5100 laserJet. HP did not associated this issue with printer or drivers. Please help. Thanks!Thanks for your help, Marvin!
Sharing has been set up, PW is in keychain. Still asking for "authenification"..
After talking to Adobe tech support, here's the answer:
"Issue: When attempting to print, customer is continually asked to authenticate.
Resolution: Printer is possibly too old to understand the print data InDesign is outputting. Try updating drivers or using a newer printer".

I am trying to connect Garritan Personal Symphony to Logic Express and Garageband. A dialog box pops up and asks for plugin Garritan-P. Where do I find it and what do I do with it. I can't locate this plugin doing searches on any of the porgrams.

My wife and I have separate AppleID accounts. Ever since she updated to the iPhone 5c, for some reason when she tries to update her apps, it comes up with my AppleID and asks for my password. I cannot figure out why this happening and how to fix this. Please help!
I have had this issue lately.
I can only put it down to using the one computer to update all our IPads for me and my wife.
Some of our apps, although downloaded from both our seperate accounts on our IPads, are the same.
However after plugging her IPad into the computer when my AppleID is on ITunes, I think something strange has happened and when she then tries to update Apps on her IPad and I try on mine it now asks for the others Apple ID password.
The only way I have found to counteract this is to update an app one at a time, if that app asks for your wifes password then delete it and then reinstall it.
That has solved it for me.

During my use of my iPhone, a box pops up intermittently asking for my voicemail password. It then says "incorrect password." It IS the correct password. What can I do to stop this?
Contact your wireless provider, have them reset your password, and try again.

Unable to update apps. Use iTunes password and program thinks for a couple of seconds and the goes back to original position.
What's the original position?
Does the screen asking for your password have a different Apple ID that the one you currently use? If so the app must have been downloaded with that different Apple ID. You will have to enter the password for that original Apple ID because downloaded or purchased apps are always associated with the ID used to download o urchase them. -

X Already Installed and because its a used macintosh the old administrators logon name appears and of coarse its asking for the password.
I need to know how to reset the password and put my password in it without the use of the disc to the OS x.

On a Mac you have to have the system disk in order to reset the administrator password. You should ask whoever you bought the system from to give you the disks. Without these you will be unable to fix many of the problems that occasionally arise. At the VERY least, you should be able to get the password from the person you bought it from.
Just for future reference Macs don't have anything equivalent to the BIOS. That is a PC thing.

I'm trying to set up my apple tv and have been asked for my apple id then my password. Then I am asked for the password for my password. What is this?
It's when I am in home share set up. I give my apple ID and password as asked, then I am prompted to provide a password for my password.

Im trying to update an app on my phone but keeps asking me for the password of my cousins account, and I have never purchased an app with his account. I restored my cousins phone on my computer but I dont know if that has to do anything with the problem.
Because that person’s Apple ID was put inside the application when it was downloaded from the iTunes Store.

Did 6.1 update no issues, now keeps asking for apple id password
Did the update, all seemed fine, phone reappeared in the window like it should. Only problem is it keeps popping up asking me to enter my apple I'd password. Any ideas?
Quite a few people seem to be having this problem, myself included. I've noticed that it's Facetime that seesm to be the problem. For some reason, it doesn't like it when you sign in. If you do sign in, it will log out as well as your iMessage account. You can have iMessage logged in but you can't have Facetime.
I did a complete restore from backup but that didn't help at all. It only wasted 3 hours of my life as I waited for the phone to reinstall 6.1 and all of the apps, music, movies, etc.
I'm still searching for a solution. -

FileVault asking for old account password when upgraded to Mountain Lion
This is not good.
I recently updgraded to Mountain Lion.
After the upgrade process, my account log in no longer was accepted by FileVault. (FileVault Legacy)
The system is stating that:
" Your user accont password is different fomr your FileVault Password
This can occur if your user account password was changed recently. To update your FileVault password and continue loggin gin, enter your old user account password"
Yet, the last time I changed my password was perhaps over 1 year ago, certainly not recently, and defenitely after many OS upgrades?
How can this happen??
Now I can not access any files (Am I expected to remember a password from 1year+ ago?) ... Major Fail.
Anyone having the same issue or a tip to get out of this crazy loop?Repair your permissions, go to applications then utilities, then disk utility. On the left hand side click on mac HD, then click repair disk permissions. Restart your computer and test again once permissions repair is complete.

So you made a new Apple ID? Unfortunately that won't work. Content is forever tied to the Apple ID that bought it. Apple does not transfer content from one ID to another and Apple does not merge Apple IDs. What should have been doen is mearely change the email address that was associated with the Apple ID.

The only way that you can do this now is with a new email address if you used your current email address for the new Apple ID.
