Cant Update other Country mobile
i bought lumia 900 from US. i have downloaded the Bluetooth Share from Market Place. while opening that its showing the ERROR message to update higher version.now i m in INDIA i contact Nokia care and customer care thay telling if we update the S / W version version the phone will LOCK and cant use.
i need the solution to update the s/w version in INDIA
Updating the phone to the latest software version available for it will not lock it. I can't think why Nokia care would want to tell you that it will other than maybe being ill-informed.
If the phone was originally SIM-locked but has been unlocked prior to handing it over to you, there is no reason why it should become SIM-locked again. Once unlocked, a phone remains unlocked, even when updating its firmware.

Moved country. Cant update apps.
I've seen a few unanswered threads on this topic, but they are old and have been archived. Hence the new thread.
I recently moved from Singapore to Australia. With that move came a new credit card for australia, and with that, obviously, I am now buying all my apps form the Australian iTunes store.
The problem is, I cant update the apps that were downloaded from the Singapore store previously. It's rather annoying. iTunes tells me I have updates, but when I click through on the # Updates Available, it says;
"No updates are currently available. To check for updates for another Apple ID, sign in with that Apple ID".
I am using the same mobileme ID I always have. I have only changed the Credit Card details from my Singapore Bank to my Australian Bank.
I have over 200 apps in my itunes. I dont want them all on my phone or ipad all the time. I want to use itunes to manage and update my apps. Surely there must be a logical way to do this?A FIX ---
I was having same issue, for 3 years, after moving from the US to NZ.
iTunes would indicate I had 27 updates available, but only 2 or 3 would be actually be there, because the rest were downloaded from the iTunes store in the other country, or the other credit card.
So I used to have to change my iTunes Account from NZ back to US (and address and credit card back to my US one that I still have) in order to update all apps, then change back to NZ again next day. A hassle, but it worked, because I still have a US credit card and address to use.
However, I have just found a way to update all apps, without the workaround! It's just a bit of a process if you have a lot of apps, but it is quite easy.
Here goes....
1. Simply open iTunes and log in to your account.
2. Click on Apps in your left menu (tonight mine was showing 27 updates available, but none showed up when I clicked for the updates)
3. View all your Apps by 'List'
4. When you hover over each App name, the arrow pops up
5. Click on the arrow, then click 'Show in iTunes Store'
6. You are taken to the App Store page for that App
7. If the button below the App icon says 'Downloaded', it means you have it and it is up-to-date.
8. IF THE FREE/PURCHASE BUTTON BELOW THE APP ICON SAYS 'FREE', IT MEANS IT NEEDS AN UPDATE (because iTunes recongnises that you have purchssed the App before). CLICK THIS AND THE UPDATE DOWNLOADS
The only issue is you have to go back to the App list and check every one until your update count gets to zero.

Again: Contact your cellular provider (Virgin) to determine If they offer unlocking, and if you qualify. If they do, you can request unlocking, otherwise you will not be able to use the phone with a different cellular provider.

Without knowing what streaming service you're attempting to use it's impossible to say with any certainty, but confirm that the site you wish to use allows connections from outside of its country. Many live streaming services, particularly those that show live TV shows or other such content, are limited to access only from users in the service's country.

Not sure if this helps .. but it appears that whenever Adobe's payment processing backend has some internal issues, it puts the subscribers into some HELL. The only way I found it to be working is - call the customer support from your country, and speak to a CSE.
The same incident happened to me this month. Subscription failed warnings, and Email alerts. I logged into my account, but could not update credit card details. When I tried adding another card, it throwed errors. So I called the local Adobe Customer support, and gone through the painful IVR thing. But at the end I was able to reach a CSE and he helped in fixing the issue.
The Solution:
Call Adobe Customer Support.

PS : It is pathetic that Adobe's payment processing is not upto the quality, and recent breaches has made the life of subscribers bad. I really love those old Retail boxes. I never had any billing issues. -

Your credit or debit card credentials must be associated with the same country where you reside. So you need to establish a credit account with a bank in NZ.
"Although you can browse the iTunes Store in any country without being signed in, you can only purchase content from the iTunes Store for your own country. I cant update my appCheck the settings for Country & Region:
Settings > iTunes & App Stores > then tap your Apple ID: > View Apple ID > Country/Region
This setting should be set to the correct country for your account.
If it is correct, sign out of your account and back in. -

Sounds like a message you'd get when trying to use an App Store outside of your registered country - ie device registered to U.K. App Store but trying to download while in the U.S.

Step by step as I am not an ipad guru, please explain how do I change the Itunes store record of my locality to New Zealand. Out of the blue Itunes thinks I want to access the US store from NZ, so suddenly I cant update free apps after being able to do so for the past 18 months. I have not left the country in 18 months. .

The screen you're seeing on your iPhone indicates it is in recovery mode. Now since the device is not appearing in iTunes on your PC, first follow the steps in this article:

You've logged into your account and viewed your purchase history and there aren't any error messages shown (e.g. 'problem with a previous purchase'), and you haven't got any purchases due (e.g. pre-orders and/or subscriptions) : Why can’t I select None when I edit my Apple ID payment information ?
