Cant use Ctrl C or Ctrl V to copy pics or documents?

I have tried to copy and paste pictures and word documents using Ctrl C and it is not working. What would cause this?

The blue "Fn" plus any key will work. And, "Alt" plus works. But any shortcut that involves the "CTRL" key does not work. So I can't Copy, Delete, Paste, etc.

As you can see from a brand-new virgin install of Firefox, no addons, no pre-existing profile, version 29 DOES put the menu bar on the taskbar. And Firefox, configured as I have it, on a system configured with High-Contrast colors (black in my case) turned on, Firefox is unthemeable.
But never mind, I solver this one myself. I booted into XP and used an un-updated Firefox to find a new addon named "Classic Theme Restorer". That did the trick. Mark this one as solved. But....
I wish developers (not just Firefox) who wish to fancy up their user interfaces would think about how it would affect the visually impaired. We use computers too.

This is very Frustrating to me, i have tried looking up a tool keyconfig 20110522 and looked that it says that ctrl+shift+t is the right command, but i still cant use it WHY oh WHY?? if i could get some help figuring this out it would be so awesome, cause i love Firefox, been using it almost daily for the last 10 or so years and i don't intend to switch soon.

Problem with JMS migration when using Ctrl+C to stop the managed server in cluster

          Hi,
          I am having a clustered weblogic application running on Weblogic 7.0 SP5. My application
          uses JMS as a asynchrous communication. We have MDB which listens to these JMS
          messages.
          If something is being processed on Managed Server 1 and while the request is in
          process, i am stopping the the MAnaged SErver 1 using Ctrl+C.
          After this, i go to admin console and migrate teh JTA and JMS. After this, i am
          expecting other running Managed Server should restart the incomplete transaction.
          But this is not happening. The Managed Serve2 doesn't process the requst.
          But when i restart teh MAnaged SErver 1 again, it takes up the same request and
          processes it.
          Is this a known problem with Weblogic that it doesn't support Ctlr+C case?
          Please note that the same thing is working fine when i stop the server using Admin
          console(Normal shutdown OR forced shutdown).
          Any comments in this regards are apprecciated.

In addition the tool Icons are so small I have to get close to the screen to see them, is there anyway the Icons can be made bigger without reducing the resolution of the screen.

Are you working on a background layer? If so, Ctrl + T will not work. Press Alt and double-click your background layer to convert to a normal layer (or right-click BG layer and select Layer from Background) and try again.
If you're working in Photoshop CC 2014 you can go to Preferences > Experimental Features and tick "Scale UI 200% for high-density displays" to make your buttons and icons larger.

How can I set or reset the page that is loaded when I open a new tab using Ctrl t ?? by

I recently downloaded a program that has, as an undesired additional action, apprently setup Yahoo as the page that opens by default when I open a new tab using <Ctrl> <t> (or the <+> symbol on the tab bar). This is aggravating to me, particularly as I have not been able to find a way to stop it occurring.
I expect that it is buried somewhere in my profile, but I also have not found a way to explore or edit the contents of my profile.
There is a JScript script file called "user" in ...\profiles\4g4vpust.default that I suspect is associated with the behaviour, but renaming it achieved nothing.
Prior to this, my new tabs used to open as blank pages, i.e. did not load any URL and I was happy with that. How can I get back to that state?

Did it add the freeze net assistant add-on? That add-on is known to do this. If you have that add-on you can uninstall it Firefox should revert to the default behavior.

How can users who have Acrobat Reader only save scanned pdf files so that the text on them is searchable using ctrl-F? I just use the recognize text with ocr feature in the full version of Acrobat and this seem to do the trick. Reader doesn't work!

Our users have scanned pdf files they want to be able to search using ctrl-f. I got them to be searchable by doing a recognize text using ocr with Acrobat Professional vesion 8. They want to know if they can make the files searchable with Acrobat Reader only or if they need the full Acrobat Professional software to make the files searchable.

To clarify a bit they need to have Adobe Acrobat, not Adobe Reader. Reader has not been associated with the Acrobat name for 3 or more versions. The process you are asking about is a creation process - the purpose of Acrobat - and NOT a reading feature.

Oops, sorry, Ctrl+k duplicates the current tab. To do that in Firefox, click in the URL of the page and press Alt+Enter.
There also might be an add-on that creates a more convenient method.

I am using Acrobat Pro XI version on my PC. I have created a form and saved it using Enable Reader Extensions. I have e-mailed it to a friend who uses Acrobat Reader on PC. She is able to fill the form but unable to save it. She tried saving it using Ctrl+P. Using this method, the changes to the document were saved on her PC. But when she sent back the document, I am unable to see the changes. Can you please help me ASAP. Why isn't save using Ctrl+P working??

The reason the version number is important is because prior to version XI a special right has to be applied to the file in Acrobat for it to be savable in Reader.
If you want the file to be compatible with the most versions then you should apply this right, via File - Save As Other - Reader-Extended PDF - Enable More Tools.

Can't change typing direction using ctrl+shift in Gmail

Using firefox 6, in Gmail, I can't change text direction while typing using Ctrl+shift combination. The direction arrows in the email editor are working, just the keyboard shortcut don't.
Needles to say it works in other browsers.

My desktop display has been magnified and everything I open is similarly magnified.When I try to zoom out using Ctrl - or the mouse nothing happens

My MacBok Pro suddenly magnified the desktop display significanlty. All programmes and applications are similarly magnified when open. I tried zooming out using Ctrl - and I also tried holding down the Option key and scrolling down using the mouse. Nothing happens to zoom out of the desktop and on Facebook for example the columns get smaller but the text doesn't so lines of text end up overlayed each other. What can I do to remedy the situation?
