Cant view IP Camera over internet

I set up a IP Camera and I can view on my local network without a problem butI cannot find a setup that works for internet viewing. I followed the instructions to use port 80 and when that didnt work I tried several ports but none would work. I have a westell a90-750015 modem. I even tried DMZ but still camera would not display. I set up a port for the camera on my Windows 7 and thta doesnt work. Verizon wont tell me anything about which ports are open unless I pay them. Does anybody have the proper setup for IP Cameras on verizon network that I can use?

I went to youtube.com and viewed a number of videos with no problems. They are using the Flasplayer 8 internet plugin which came standard as a Universal binary on your new iMac.
Have you downloaded and installed anything to do with Flashplayer since you got you Mac? If so, you probably installed the PPC version of Flashplayer that overwrote the Universal version.

View CCTV Cameras through Airport Express?

I am quite perplexed by this situation.
My system is a Cox Modem connected to > an Airport Extreme (connected to my Mac) > and a new Airport Express (wireless connection) that extends my wifi.
My generic DVR (with CCTV cameras) is connected > to the Airport Express by wire through the LAN Ethernet port. I'd like to view the cameras over the Internet.
There are several moving parts that I have been tinkering with such as open ports, dynamic IP addresses, and other things. It seems as though I have read so much (and some of it old) that I have scrambled my brains trying to distill this into a simple task. All the hardware is the latest generation.
I am most grateful for any suggestions.

If you could, can you connect the DVR to the Airport Extreme via ethernet, either by moving it or a long CatV cable. The net question is, your DVR, is it on the same IP range as your rest of the network? Is it set to DHCP or have you set it to a Static IP address? Personally, once you know that you can talk to the DVR over your network, I'd set the DVR to a Static IP address and reserve the address in the Airport (under settings).
If you know the IP address of the DVR can you ping the DVR? If using a Mac and using Mavericks then try this to find Network Utility (http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5897). I wouldn't mess about with opening ports until you can see the DVR from your internal network. Once you have it as you like then I'd go and setup your port forwarding.
Personally as well, depend on the capacity of the DVR and cameras, I wouldn't recommend streaming your DVR using the Airport Express to your Airport Extreme. Just means your wireless is clogged up constantly streaming heavy load of video, which may mean your other wireless devices get slowed down as to accessing the internet...

How to control and display video from IP camera using ActiveX control over Internet.

I need to control my IP cameras over the internet. I need to log into the cameras and then display the video. There's an ActiveX control registered on the computer and works fine with IE to access and control the cameras. Controlling the cameras using IE works fairly well, but there are some quirks that I'd like to eliminate by using my own custom code.
Has anyone created a vi that controls a Foscam FI8905W over the Internet? I’ve attempted, but I keep getting a catastrophic failure when I try to call ManagementConnect Method in the DVM_IPCam2 ActiveX Control Module V1.0. I'm not sure whether I need to establish an IP connection with the cameras first, or allow the ActiveX control to establish it for me.
Some example code would be greatly appreciated. Running LabVIEW 2011 on a Win7 32bit. Even some code used to control a similar device using ActiveX over Internet would be helpful.

I have an example vi for interfacing to the foscam activex.
I plan on using mouse click events within the activex window to trigger the PT function.
I only have the basic up/down/right/left directions and not the down-right/down-left/up-right/up-left in the enum. You can load the camera's web page and view the source to see the Java script code that uses the activex control. There are definitions for the other directions.
I had to mark the control as "Disabled" to keep click events from going to the activex control. If I double click the control, it goes full screen. If I then click on it to get out of full screen mode the video never returns or returns to the wrong spot in the VI.

Accessing discoverer viewer over internet

URL's host name is changed when i am clicking to expand report link for work sheet selection. I have installed Oracle 10g AS and discoverer and trying to access work sheets over internet using discoverer viewer.

Thank you for your response. I did not changed fully qualified domain name. I am trying to access the discoverer viewer from outside of our LAN through internet. I have configured firewall to allow HTTP trafic to exposed server and mapped public IP and port to local discoverer server (port forwarding) to route discoverer viewer requests to discoverer server. Discover server is in our local domain with local IP address. I am able to view the viewer login and Worksheet list page with public IP in discoverer URL. When i am clicking to expand worksheet in worksheet list page, viewer changes the IP address part of URL to local host name. This local host name is not resolved outside and IE shows the 'Page Not Found' error. Pl suggest the way to resolve this issue.

I have moved the antenna to within 20' of where the vehicle comes to a stop. My Iphone does not have a problem connecting or reconnecting when used side by side with the Ipad. Both the Ipad and Iphone have Otter box covers. Has anyone run into this problem or have any suggestions?

30 seconds to reconnect to a WiFi network is not unusual, especially in an environment where other radio signals on similar frequencies are present. Sorry about that.
You might get better times by letting the WiFi base station pick another channel. But you might not.

Here are my best suggestions for your camera problem:
• If Apple's http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2090
   suggestions do not help you, (the "reset" suggested there
   often restores normal function,) continue with the following.
• Use your Mac's Disk Utility to repair permissions and then
   download and apply the latest Combo Update for your Mac OS.
   If you are using OS X 10.7 or later, reinstall OS X.
• Repair permissions again immediately following the system restart
   that completes the Combo update or reinstall.
Properly applying the Combo version of updates can sometimes correct software problems, but, if your trouble is caused by a hardware problem, there are no user serviceable parts of the camera. For hardware help, contact Apple or an Apple-Authorized Service Provider for service.
(Over time, Apple has changed the built-in camera's name on newer Macs from "iSight" to "FaceTime" and then to "FaceTime HD." Regardless of the name of your Mac's built-in camera, the same info and troubleshooting applies.)
   Unless you have a current backup, make one now.
Then use the final "Troubleshooting" suggestion:

Deleted photo and thumbnail still shows up in album view and camera roll

Hi, whenever i delete a photo on either my ipad(2) or iphone(4s), the thumbnail of the deleted photo still shows up in the album view and camera roll.
Also, a picture that i deleted months ago (have saved other photos since then, and replaced the thumbnail) from my ipad randomly showed up in the album view and camera roll??
I have IOS 5.0.1 installed on both iphone(4s) and ipad(2).
Is this a software glitch or??

Sounds like a damaged database fie:
Try these in order - from best option on down...
1. Do you have an up-to-date back up? If so, try copy the library6.iphoto file from the back up to the iPhoto Library allowing it to overwrite the damaged file.
2. Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
3. If neither of these work then you'll need to create and populate a new library.
To create and populate a new *iPhoto 6* library:
Note this will give you a working library with the same Rolls and pictures as before, however, you will lose your albums, keywords, modified versions, books, calendars etc.
Move the iPhoto Library to the desktop
Launch iPhoto. It will ask if you wish to create a new Library. Say Yes.
Go into the iPhoto Library on your desktop and find the Originals folder. From the Originals folder drag the individual Roll Folders to the iPhoto Window and it will recreate them in the new library.
When you're sure all is well you can delete the iPhoto Library on your desktop.
In the future, in addition to your usual back up routine, you might like to make a copy of the library6.iPhoto file whenever you have made changes to the library as protection against database corruption.

I cant view my site in safari... hmmmmm

i forwarded my own domain to mask the url for my mac.web.com.yadda yadda yadda.
i forwarded the frame to web.mac.com/myusername
it took hours and it is finally working though my domain co said they didnt think it would. anyways.. it loads great on firefox but i cant view it on safari.
i type in the web address and the screen is blank. if i click on the screen my site appears. and the same for each page.. you click and it goes blank. and then you click on the blank screen and up pops the site.
and it doesnt work in internet explorer. images have x's and just aren't there.
i have emptied the cache, quite safari. checked the url forwarding.. it seems odd that it works in firefox but not safari.
any help?

bought domain with 1and1 and can't transfer to godaddy for a month. 1and1 says they can't frame redidrect with a backslash. it's odd it works on firefox. you need to click a blank page in safari and in ie for mac the words at the bottom om the home page come in broken, as do images throughout.
i am on phone with apple and the guy saw the page then it disappeared. he had me reset my safari which made me lose my igoogle home page preferences and didn't resolve the problem.
then he said it looks like you can't do what you are looking to do. I said yes you can. In fact Apple tells people they can do this when they are selling the software. He is researching it.

I am trying to build a custom feed reader using the Spry framework in Dreamweaver CS4 and everything seems to go smoothly until I actually host the file (with the accompanying js and css files) and try to view it over the internet
previewing from DW shows everything working the way it should
I feel like I am missing something obvious ... but not sure what

I had the same problem a year ago when I did an iOS upgrade. Now if I receive an important photo I save it to the Camera Roll
No way I know of to retrieve them unless you have a very recent backup to restore from maybe?

MPD over NFS which is not on LAN but over Internet

I tried MPD on a raspberry pi and a NFSv4 mount over vpn over internet.
Suffice to say, I was surprised when I saw mpd actually attempting to *read* one and every file in the huge 500GB repository. What the hell. Why does it need to "read" in the whole file??
Is there an alternative to mpd with similar capabilities, that doesnt suck? Or should I run mpd on the main server - but how do I then get the sound/mp3s to the raspberry pi?

I scp'ed over the database file from main server which had indexed/updated the db with about 80k songs.
Then mounted the nfs share to the rasperry pi to the same absolute paths as on the main server (why not).
This works fine, I see only the songs that I play are transferred quite fast, playing is almost instantenous, and they seem to be cached somewhere. Seeking within files is also fast, especially once already played.
Now as you say, the database file needs to be kept in sync between the NFS server and raspberry, one way would be to put it as well in some nfs share, or sshfs or whatever, or even cronjob it with rsync, since I wont be doing database updates/adding albums that often on the main server.
Would be good if something like this was documented somewhere. Like the wiki. And an option in mpd to ignore update commands to its database - thats now dangerous - it does read all the files, and even if it only tries to read headers - for some shares such as 1 or 2TB of songs, thats too much. Now the mpd on rasperry is more of a proxy.
So yes, this does work now, the slight downside is that the android client mpdroid is not that good - it doesnt respect volume keys when not in view'and such, but one can live with that.

From that we came to know the exact error .
Step 2: Most of the organisations are having an ISA or TMG firewall to create web published rules for exchange services .In case if you have you need to check the rule created for outlook anywhere is properly configured or not.
If you have such kind of firewall's ,You can test the OA rule by using the option test rule in ISA or TMG firewall .
Most probably you can able to find out the exact cause with the help of EXRCA.
