Cant view sent email says I need to take account online to view

Just out of the blue, I can no longer view my sent emails. When I click on them to resend or view what I wrote, I get this message
____has not been downloaded from the server. You need to take this account online in order to download it.
I have tried to delete previous emails thinking it was a memory problem, but that does not seem to work.
Any helpe would be appreciated.

If, as your system info reports, you are running OS 10.3.x and using Mail 1.3.x, then you most likely have an Overstuffed mailbox. See:

If using Tiger (10.4.x) then it is most likely an indexing problem, and although overstuffing is possible in Mail 2.x, as well.
More info, please. If the mailbox is really huge, then there is a script to split it, so post back with further observations and info.

I lost preferences for safari and mail, I think after my son shut down while "firevault was recovering disc space." My mailboxes were intact in my users folder. I followed prompts to set up mail again, and somehow my mail reappeared, with mailbox folders intact and content in folders readable. I'm able to receive and send emails.
The problem: Inbox messages, both old and new, have no content. Instead each email says:
"The message from Tom Thumb <[email protected]> concerning “baker's son” has not been downloaded from the server. You need to take this account online in order to download it."
Really odd: the email content from emails I received since setting up again today is there for about 15 minutes, and then disappears, and I get the "not downloaded" message."
Connection doctor says I am connected to server.
The email content is intact on my server, and they say the problem is with mail program.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As a "P.S.," one other thing that I've noticed, at least with my IMAP accounts, is how you usually will see a message count on the top of the Mail viewer pane, when you have a mailbox or folder highlighted (for example, mine will say something like "Inbox - home (107 messages)"), I have found that when it no longer displays the message count in parentheses in the title (i.e., it will just say "Inbox - home"), although I may still be able to see messages' contents, the list of messages, etc., Mail is getting ready to go squirrelly on me, so before that happens, as soon as I notice that the message count is not being displayed, I rebuild all the mailboxes. Sort of like a little preventive maintenance.

Unless you signed up for iTunes Match or additional iCloud storage, there's nothing to renew; the basic iCloud account never expires. Forward any such emails to [email protected] and then delete them.

It sounds like you have tapped the "Folder" icon. This allows you to move emails from one folder to another. Cancel out of there and turn the iPad to Landscape orientation to see all available mailboxes. Or while in the Portrait orientation tap the "Mailboxes" icon in the top left corner.

i chaneged my password. and went verify it. and than did. but as try to log in it says veryfiey. so i go to verify , but it says i verified already.

If you tried to log into ePrint and got that message. You would have to go to http://goo.gl/8gS3 and select forgot password. If not you would have to use a different email address to create a separate account.

Help needed-setting up account online

Hi everyone looking for a bit of advice.
I used to have a bt sport account with BT which i used to log in with my current e-mail address. When i moved house i left sky phone/broadband, cancelled my bt sport and took out BT phone/broadband account but it is still assuming i have a bt log in with my email address - linked to my old account. This is preventing me from being able to register on with my email address to my new account.
Any ideas how to get this fixed?

I only meant for the initial signup e.g. bobbobbins@ hotmail or gmail - something like that.
I assume once you have the initial signup you would then be issued with a new BT email account which you then use for your BT Id - and sport etc? E.g. [email protected]

How do I email my photos to instructor so extended information can be viewed. He says they need to be in jpeg file. When I test copy to myself I cant get this information.

Select a photo and export it to the desktop (file menu == export) and in the finder select it and show info - is the info you want there (it is for me) - If it is Then attach that photo to an e-mail sand send it - if the info does no arrive then g-mail is the issue

Instead of dealing with a lost card, purchase iTunes gift cards which can be redeemed for iTunes purchases. You can't use the billing information from that card without a Security code.

Emails saying I need to change my payment details, yet billing history shows otherwise?

I keep receiving emails from Adobe saying that I need to change or update my payment information, however, in my Adobe account payment play management, it shows recent past dates (after the dates of the emails) of billing history when I was "charged", but my bank account shows I was not charged? Which one is correct: Adobe's billing history or my bank's billing history? Do I still have my monthly membership?

If you have more than one email, are you sure you are using the correct Adobe ID?

View sent email folder

Ihave the 8330 and have two email accounts (aol & comcast) and cannot view my sent messages. When I go to the "view folder" it only shows in box and spam. How do I add my sent messages folder? Thanks

In your messages folder press menu, go to Options>General Options. Make sure "Hide Sent Messages" is set to "No". They should now show up in your messages folder.

Email won't set up - keeps saying I need to update account password

Can anyone help please.
I have tried everything I can to set up email from my Passport.
I have a pop account and am using Windows 8 on my lap top. I get mails to the lap top and have sync the contacts and calender (created back up file) but when I try to set up email, I put the existing account details for the server etc and it keeps coming back with 'your email account can't be set up right now, please try later' then I get a mail message syaing my account needs to be updated with a password.
I have two email accounts, one at Tiscali and one on our own server.
Any ideas??

Confirming and viewing sent emails from iPhoto

how do I see which emails actually went through that I sent directly from iPhoto? I am not using Mobile Me account...

iPhoto does not have an OutBox. Short of bcc-ing yourself, there is no way.
