Canvas is only white

A few day ago I upgraded my Mac Pro 1.1 from Tiger to Leopard 10.5 then 10.5.8. I added Final Cut Suite 3 and Photoshop Elements 9. Now (in FCP) my viewer & canvas windows are only white. No graphics, no video clips... just white. There are also some export to QuickTime Movies problems as well. I am also getting CompresssorJobController(Not Responding) & CommpressorTranscoder(Not Responding) messages flashing in red in my "Activity Monitor". We did mess with Qmaster a few days ago. ???

No to all of your question. However, 1st... Millions to thousands back to mills did bring up the picture, only in pause. In play it flashes or freezes. 2nd... I am copying HD1 (which has the Applications folder) to an external (1TB) hard drive. I think I should have moved some other folders off of HD1 and on to another internal drive first to make HD1 smaller because it looks like it will take 2 hrs at this rate.

Do NOT use Fireworks for print work. Use Illustrator, InkScape, InDesign, Scribus, Xara Designer Pro, Photoshop, etc, anything BUT Fireworks. Fireworks is meant for web graphics.
However, if you are still convinced it is a good idea to do this in Fw, there is a way to increase the max canvas size:

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Video preview not working, I can see only white screen.

Hello, I have been using Adobe Premiere on my Vista64 for a while, but few days ago I started having problems with previewing video. I can see only white screen, which doesnt react on anything I do in premiere (trying to preview movie, add grids etc.) I tried to reinstall many times but only thing I managed after one reinstall was that it started showing me what is on the timeline when I clicked on a timeline, but when I wanted to play preview it was frozen and then it turned white again. Since that it is still white.
Playback in other adobe programs (such as After Effects) works fine on my computer.
Would you please help me to find out what causes this problem and how to fix it? (I doubt it is codecs because it worked fine before and then it suddenly stopped working without any change in codecs...)

It may or may not be possible to verify the usage of such a technology device. And where did you get the idea that it costs $10 to manufacture and sell an iPad? I think the parts cost alone was $260, not counting manufacturing, shipping, storage, retail space, salespersons, helpdesk support, all the other overhead costs, etc. etc.
With so many people out there trying to scam the system, it will be an uphill battle to try to convince anyone that you bought it and didn't open the box for 14 months. That's very unusual.
At some point, the store you bought something from (in this case it was Apple) has to say no. What if it had been unopened for 2 years, or five years, or 20 years? This is what the warranty period is all about. It starts on the day you buy it and ends at the end of the warranty period, regardless of usage.
I am sympathetic to your plight but if you are able to get a new iPad (refurbished would be more likely), it will be through the kindness of Apple going above and beyond. If you do not get one, it is not Apple's fault you waited this long and there is no requirement for them to replace it.

Clone Stamp Tool only white... help troubleshoot?

I'm a fairly beginner Photoshop user in CS5. I'm sampling a background copy and working in that layer only - whatever I choose to clone stamp, I get only white. Well aware that this is very likely user error and I have likely accidentally changed a setting somewhere... but have searched for the reason and am getting no where. Can anyone help? People are making pretty good guesses, but maybe it would be prudent to take a screenshot of your entire Photoshop working environment, save it as a JPEG, and post it here via the little "camera" icon above the editor box. I'm betting someone could home in on the exact issue if they could see everything you're seeing.
My guess is that it's the Blending Mode that's the issue (e.g., it might be set to Linear Dodge).

Okay. I've found an answer:
yes, you can and have to add these icons via the descriptor file, since flash wont let you. But before you do that, go into the "Air publish" settings in flash. Here, right on page 1, there is the "include files" section. Add your icon pngs there. Hit OK and exit these settings. Now open the descriptor with an editor outside of flash and write in the files like I posted above. Close. Save. Make it write protected. No go to flash and publish.

Design Studio 1.3 applications shows only white screen on Mobile BI App (iPad)

Hello Design Studio friends,
after upgrading or BI platform (4.1) Design Studio Add-On from version 1.2 to 1.3 we could no errors, everything works fine. But now we have the issue, that all of our Design Studio Applications do not work on iPad.
All mobile Applications are listed correctly in the overview in the Mobile BI App. But after starting one application the loading screen is running and after loading only a white screen is displayed. No data, no components, no variables screen etc.
Do you have any idea about the reason of our problem?
Here some additonal information, what we have done:
After upgrade we restartet the BIP and checked that all services are running.
We saved new Design Studio 1.3 Applications on BIP.
We run the Design Studio Applications local (everything works) over BIP on Desktop clients (everything workds), via Mobile BI App (iPad iOS7, newest iOS Version and newest App version) (only white screens are shown).
We deleted all metadata on iPad and reconnected to our BIP.
Our DataSources, integrated in the Design Studio 1.3 applications, are based on SAP BW Queries of a BW 7.4 system.

I deleted the mobile BI App from my iPad and installed it again (newest version).
No changes, after loading the Design Studio Application only a white screen is shown.
I cannot find a relevant Part in the App protocol (Debug Mode).

I am trying to make a site with 3 iframes that scroll vertically ( to right ).
My file is a sliced table.
After watching a tut vid on layers mag I finally ventured into some code.

Cant see any video only white screens in Viewer and Canvas

I dont know if anyone has encountered this figured out how to resolve it yet. In FCP 7 on Snow Leopard when i drag a clip into viewer or try to edit in the Canvas all i see is a white screen. The title safe lines and wireframe show up when i turn these on and off, but no video. I occasionally get a solarized image in the Canvas. the time code progresses, but nothing in either window.

Thanks for all the suggestions, including links back to earlier discussions. This did shed some light, (and kicked me to be more explicit), when reviewing an earlier question on the same issue, but stating that this happened on an external Dell 2408 monitor...which is what I am using to edit. When i open the MBP and remove the video miniport cable and try to play on the laptop display, all is well, I can see video in both Viewer and Canvas. When i plug the monitor back in and drag these windows over to the monitor (cant move the FCP application wholesale) they also play fine. When i close the MBP, wait and refire it up with mouse or keyboard...I see video in both, but when i play either one the image jumps back and forth, cycling from one frame and back...while the time code advances and the audio track does too.
