Canvas White with Black 'X'
One day my Canvas/Preview Screen suddenly turned white and has a black 'x' on the top-right. Only when I play through the timeline do I see the video. The viewer works fine.
Anyone know what's going on here?

Pages (any version) is not a word clone, and may not digest Word documents as accurately as their native Microsoft application. Pages v5 is also far from feature/functionality complete, and that only compounds this issue.
Suggest you download/install the free LibreOffice and open the Word documents with it. Do the artifacts persist in LibreOffice? -
When I first downloaded to 7.1, it made my keyboard black with white letters. Very distinct. Now, it's somehow back to white with black letters. How do I get my black keyboard with white letters back ? iPhone 5S
You changed the proper preference, but you don't need to relaunch iTunes. You do, however, need to click the blue OK button at the bottom right of the preferences window. The change will happen then.

Bb screen gone complety white with black mark in corner not been dropped can i fix this at home??

Reset the iPad and see if that fixes it.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
If that doesn't do it, you may want to consider restoring the device and if that doesn't work - you probably need to get Apple involved and let a genius take a look. -

I can turn off the device naturally. But when i turn it on it shows all white with black lines and different colors. Is my LCD screen broken? If it is, can apple fix it?
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Some images in timeline are white, with "media offline" message in canvas
I am making a short movie of images taken on my Canon powershot S5 camera. I am importing photos and movie clips from this digital still camera. They appeared correctly on the timeline at first. I rendered them and they played fine on the canvas. Then after saving project and opening later, some of the images appeared white with the "media offline" message in the canvas. I tried locating a few of them and reconnecting which solved the problem. However, strange things are happening: when I click on the white images they turn black but still play OK. Also some of the pale blue images have the "media offline" message, others do not, or the same sequence in an earlier saved version plays with no problem.
If I burn a DVD of this movie (so far incomplete) will it look OK if all appears well in the canvas, regardless of the colour of the clips in the timeline, or should I take some action first to "clean up' the timeline before proceeding? In other words, is the image in the canvas a true representation of how the final project will look?
I would appreciate some advice please as I am a bit confused by this. Thank you. KeithJPEG photos don't need converting.
In FCE simply select File>Import and navigate to your photos.
Have you trashed your Thumbnail Cache folder yet as that will probably cure it?
They can be in a couple of places. By default FCE puts one lot in User>Documents>Final Cut Express Documents.
If you have specified an external scratch disk they will also be there, so look in FCE>System Settings>Scratch Disks to find out where you put them.
Once trashed, on relaunching FCE new ones are created.

When using my ipad air it keeps coming off the page I'm on or app I am using and going back to the home screen. Also when using my ipad the screen will go white with a black apple icon in the middle for about 20 seconds then it makes a ping sound and goes to the home screen. Could anyone help please. The ipad screen is white. Holding buttons didn't work so I restored it on iTunes. When I press home and on switch, the screen is white, goes black then back to white with no logo at all. Can't get past the white screen. This happened after running app updates. Is there any fix besides going to Apple store? In iTunes on computer can see what is on there. 16GB OS 7.1.1
FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.
3. Repeat the process if necessary. -
How do I get a white background with black lines
How do I get a white background with black lines and characters on my screen. To run the program, copy it out and delete the ` and it should go. If it does not compile on your machine, I would like to know. There is a test on about line 34 for changing the colors.

this happened today suddenly while i was working on my iPad it kicked my out of the app that i was using then white screen with black apple logo came out, i thought it was an ordinary thing cause this happens all the time with me, but this time it refused to turn on! After the white screen with the black logo vanished i wad waiting for my lock screen but no, a black screen showed up just like that! And could tell it was black "lighten" screen i tried more than 10 times to do the home+power thing but it wont work, whats wrong with my ipad!If the battery is completely drained it may take some time while on the charger before the iPad responds. Plug the iPad into the charger that came with it and plug that into a good wall outlet. Wait one hour. Then reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. If the iPad restarts let it continue to charge until the battery is 100%. If it doesn't start up make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support. They will examine your iPad and explain your options.

Black and White With Color Not Working
I am trying to have the background of my image black and white with the person in color. I turned black and white on then tried brushing black and white away from the person. Instead of the full, vibrant color coming back it was a dull color. Instead, I tried turning black and white off then brushing black and white into the background. This time, instead of being pure black and white it was black and white with an obvious hint of color. I have watched plenty of tutorials and know that it is possible to have it be pure black and white in the background with the person in front appearing in full vibrant color. I just don't know what I am doing wrong that either my vibrant color is looking washed out in one method or my black and white isn't pure black and white in the other method. When I first turn black and white on the image does go to pure black and white. Any suggestions?

Is "Brush Range" set to "All"?
Try the same adjustments on another Image.
Try the "Color Monochrome" adjustment and see if it works as expected when brushed in/brushed away.

Black and White with Actionscript
In the website I'm developing I want to turn the background
image to black and white as the cursor moves toward the left side
of the screen or color when the user's cursor moves toward the
right side of the screen. Right now I have two images, color on top
and black and white on the bottom so all I'm doing is affecting the
colored image's alpha to make the black and white fade in.
Can this be done in action script? It would save on file size
because I would just need the colored image if I could turn it to
black and white with actions script. I know you can control the
filters with action script but even in the colorTransform filters I
don't see anything for the saturation.
