Canvas with clickable URLs

Hi, I was wondering how to make a Canvas with clickable URLs. So I have a chatbox, and all messages are drawn on a Canvas, but if people give an URL on the chat, then this URL most be clickable, but I don;t know how to start. Some ideas?

Clickable URL in a MDM iView

Are there any possibilities to make a clickable URL in a MDM iview. I have a field in my repository with an URL and would like to make it clickable in the portal. This is possible i the SRM_MDM user intreface, but how is it done with standard MDM iViews.

Hi John-Kjell,
This can be achieved by using HTML Text field. Simply add a Lookup field that is referrencing this table and you will see the URL as Clickable.
Please note that having too much HTML Text fields ni the repository can have a downside in performance.

It means what it sais, your J2EE_ADMIN user doesn't have enough authorization.
Chech if the appropriate authorization is assigned in your abap stack which belongs to the java stack you logon to:
Role SAP_J2EE_ADMIN should be assigned to user J2EE_ADMIN.

Access to a website with a URL ending on .exe does not work

I need to access a website with a URL ending on .exe - Internet Explorer does not have any issues but with Firefox I only get the "file download" dialog box. Is there a setting where I can prevent this behaviour?

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

Well,
it's up to you. The first part (Mcit-Project-ViewController-context-root) is the context root which you define in the view controller project. 'faces' is the name the servlet filter reacts on. You can't omit it but shorten it in web.xml. The rest is your directory structure. I'm not sure how to shorten this other as to move the jspx files back into the web root folder.
By the way an ADF faces app never uses the .jspx at the end of the url. If you specify '.jspx', you only render the page but don't start the work flow.

If you think getting your web pages to appear OK in all the major browsers is tricky then dealing with email clients is way worse. There are so many of them.
If you want to bulk email yourself, there are apps for it and their templates will work in most cases...

How to register the same schema with same URL

I'm getting ORA-31085 error when try to register the same schema with same URl.
My requirement is that I should be able to reregister the same schema with the same URL .
I'm using the following function :

You should at least update to Firefox 2.0.0.20 if you are on Mac OS X 10.3.9 or lower and can't use more recent versions that require at least OS X 10.4

How to pass the portal language with the URL

Dear experts,
We are trying to call the SAP Enterprise Portal (Online Catalogue) from SAP ERP (ECC6) with an URL that looks somehting like this:
http://xxx.com/irj/portal?j_user=xx&j_password=xx
This works fine, however we would like to add the language as a parameter, something like &language=IT but this doesn't work. I've tried multiple paramaters but none of them brought any success.
The only half-valuable parameter we found is ume.logon.locale which is only considered on the logon screen, though.
Does anybody know which parameter I need to use? Does the SAP Enterprise Portal accept language settings comming from the URL?

@Abdul: I am aware of this risk, but thanks for the hint. The paramter sap-langage was already known but did not bring the desired results - it seems not be accepted.
@Ayyapparay: I had already visited the link you mentined in your reply. The list seems to be related to Web Dynpro Applications which does apply to my problem. Furthermore, the parameters I am using at the moment (j_user & j_password) are not documented.
Any other ideas?

Problem with file:/// URLs in Safari 2

I am seeing some confusing behaviour with file:/// URLs: a very simple HTML file with that type of link works as expected (opens the nominated folder) when loading it as a local file from my disk, but when I put it on our web server and retrieve it from there, nothing happens when I click on the file:/// link.
This is happening under Safari 2.0 on OS X 10.4.2 (cross-tested on a brand-new iMac), but by comparison does not happen under Safari 1.2.4 under OS X 10.3.8 on an old eMac.
The HTML source as viewed in the browser when loading it each way is identical:

I tried clicking on the link and nothing whatsoever happened. So I tried a control click and selected "Open Link in new window" and a new window opened, followed by the Utilities folder opening. I made a test.html file with the link in it, put it on my startup drive and it worked as expected, and ditto for putting it on a second internal drive. I then put it on my iDisk and navigated to it thru its web site address of

and discovered that the two other "local" operation links (to launch ScriptEditor) both worked, but the open folder link no longer did, except by using control click and choosing either "Open link in new window" or new tab. A new Safari window or tab opens, then the Utilities folder opens.
I then tried the page in Firefox, and it didn't work AT ALL, not even with new window or tab. I then tried Mozilla and Netscape. Same deal. The ancient Internet Explorer opened the Utilities folder inside a new browser window rather than the Finder. This might be a clue as to why the link doesn't work as expected, but unfortunately I don't know what it means.

I am trying to write a Java app that will take a url and download it.
I believe you can do this with the URL class but I don't understand how to. For example, if the http url location points to a picture file, how would I code the app to retrieve this picture and save it to a specified directory?
Also, is there a way that my java app could open another program, let's say Microsoft Internet Explorer?
