Why the new version increase de size of captivate file in 100
mb? (*.cp (1)
= 23 mb / *.cp (2) = 128 mb
I unmarked the options: Publish Adobe...metadata and 508
compliance.

How to increase the size of Redo log files?

Hi All,
I have 10g R2 RAC on RHEL. As of now, i have 3 redo log files of 50MB size. i have used redo log size advisor by setting fast_start_mttr_target=1800 to check the optimal size of the redologs, it is showing 400MB. Now, i want to increase the size of redo log files. how to increase it?
If we are supposed to do it on production, how to do?
I found the following in one of the article....
"The size of the redo log files can influence performance, because the behavior of the database writer and archiver processes depend on the redo log sizes. Generally, larger redo log files provide better performance, however it must balanced out with the expected recovery time.Undersized log files increase checkpoint activity and increase CPU usage."
I did not understand the the point however it must balanced out with the expected recovery time in the above given paragraph.
Can anybody help me?

You dont have to shutdown the database before dropping redo log group but make sure you have atleast two other redo log groups. Also note that you cannot drop active redo log group.

And make sure you test this in test database first. Production should be touched only after you are really comfortable with this procedure.

but I write log_archive_start =true in init.ora;
I think Maybe the size of log file too small?

If your Database is running in Archive Log mode and if the Automatic Archiving is not enable then obviously Oracle
will ask that "Archive Log Required".
But if your Database is running with NoArchive Log mode then Oracle should never ask you that "Archive Log Required".
If your Database is running with Archive Log Mode then Oracle always recommends that the Tablespace where
you are going to Insert the 1,00,000 records, make that Tablespace Mode from Logging to Nologging, so that
Archive will not be generated for those entries because Redo does not Generate for that Tablespace as it is
Running in Nologging mode. If Redo generates for those 1,00,000 entries then it may affect the other DML
executing in you Database. So it is always recommended to do like this. But after the Insertion is done
successfully Oracle recommends immediately takes the Back of that Tablespace where you have just
Inserted 1,00,000 Data.
For making a Tablespace Nologging:
ALTER TABLESPACE <TABLESPACE NAME> NOLOGGING;
For Making a Database from NoArchive to Archive:
1)     SHUTDOWN IMMEDIATE
2)     IN THE init<sid>.ora FILE SET THE FOLLOWING PARAMETER WITH VALUE:
LOG_ARCHIVE_START = TRUE
3)     STARTUP MOUNT
4)     ALTER DATABASE ARCHIVE LOG
5)     ALTER DATABASE OPEN

A word of caution is in order regarding changing from facing to non-facing and back again. If you have overridden master page items, you'll get a second, non-overridden copy on all the even-number pages when that half of the master page is re-applied. This applies to master text frames which override automatically when text flows into them as well as to objects you manually override. I think you'll find this particular technique also only works for master text frames, whereas the Layout Adjustment should work in all situations where frames snap to guides.

I am using PCI 1405 to continuously acquire video images from vcr playback.
I tried to make use of the OnGrab function provided in the sample files, and included this function into my C++ application, without using LabView.
However I have difficulties increasing the size of the acquisition window (the maximum seems to be 640 by 480) using the api functions of the niimaq.h.

i changed the value of width and height in formsweb.cfg file in my devsuite_home/forms/server/formsweb.cfg , i am able to see the result when i compile and run the form in devsuite, whereas the same is not reflected when i run the same form in application server.
when i tried to change the value of abbovementioned file in oracle_home /forms/server/formsweb.cfg of the application server file , the file does not have the applet wdth and applet height values. in fact this file does not have any applet information..

At one point, a long time ago I was able to tweak a value that would increase the size of the X in the tabs. That helps since my hands tremble a lot

Using OS 7.02, is there a way to increase the size of the folders?

Before OS 7.02, I could place a number of application icons in a folder. After the "upgrade" I now am required to look through as many as three subfolders to find the icon. Can I either increase the size of the 1st folder displayed or decrease the size of the icon so I can fit more of them in the first folder?

I watch a lot of videos so my network cache maxes out quickly at 1048. I do delete the catch but want to be able to increase the size so that I can wait longer before deleting it. The only thing I don't know what to do about now is how to have the static image load on ipad and iphone (because I understand that .swf files don't work on these devices). Currently the image doesn't load at all, it's blank space. Could you please advise how I should adapt the code to insert the static image if the device isn't flash compatible. What i feel is
if you dont have free space in the file system then adding datafile to another filesystem is the only option.In this case we cannot increase the datafilesize.
NO free space in filesystem---add datafile in another filsystem
else increase data file size.
increasing the datafile increases the time in recovery incase if datafile is crashed.
Datawarehouse Db suits big tablespaxces.
Correct me if i am wrong
