Cap5: User must get a certain page after closing the browser page in the middle of a quiz

Captivate 5, Output Flash10, LMS Cornerstone, majority of the users use IE7.
The 10 quiz pages (always followed by 2 text pages ---> 30 pages) do not have TOC activated. So there is no bookmarking.
Sequence:
40 text pages --- 30 quiz pages --- 10 additional pages linked from buttons of the first 40 text pages.
If the user closes the browser page in the middle of the quiz, no bookmark was set.
When he starts the module again, he would just see the message "Loading".
I'd like to open the module and lead the user to the beginning of the quiz.
Any ideas?

You need to replace your CPSWF9Template.dll from the installed location. Be careful to choose the one meant for your Captivate version.

Browser window flashes for a fraction of a second (too quickly) to input required information. How do I stop the browser page to allow input?

VPN requires input of user id and password on authentication browser page. However, the browser page flashes for an instance (less than one second) and then returns an error page "failed to authenticate". It is failing to authenticate because I am unable to input the required username / password on the authentication page. Is there a setting I need to modify to allow the authentication page to wait for input?

how do I get back the "File Edit View History Bookmarks Yahoo! Tools Help" line of text that I could click on for options that used to be at the top of the browser window above the taps

I did that (I think I did) however the confusion is that I get only part of the menu and not the most important menu items like "file" "edit" etc. with all the drop downs. It is so freaky - my other computers have no problem like this and I and show the menu bar or not just like you described. I really doubt anyone really understands my problem with it. I took some screen shots of the good computer version and the bad one so someone can "see" exactly what I am seeing. This may be a one of a kind gremlin issue, LOL. Anyway, without those menu items, I am very limited on the usefulness of FireFox on that computer so I have to rely more on Chrome for those features and use the FireFox with Billeo and other tools that still work. Someday it may magically fix itself, LOL.
Of the two images, one is the good computer and the other is the bad. The bad one shows the only way to see the menu items however they disappear after I am done with the custom menu and no other time can I get the items to "appear" it is like they are there but cannot get them to show when in the normal menu bar mode.

Is there a way to make Spotify start on my songs or stared page? The reason I ask is it takes forever for the browse page to load and I almost never use it for anything. On my home computer it takes a good minute or more to load when I know exactly what I want to listen to. I type the artist in search but get no results until this page loads. At work it's even worse. We use Websense, due to the extra lag caused by the filtering I often get Spotify is offline messages, I usually have to restart Spotify 4-5 times before it loads. BTW, I'm a network/systems admin, is there some whitelist or content gateway exception I can add in Websense for Spotify to increase performance?

It's been a while for me too running XP, but have you deleted the fingerscans data from inside the fingerprint application?
In Win7 there is a flag saying "Show at startup" (or similar), if the XP version has it somewhere too then try deactivating it as well.

If it has a cloud icon it means its no longer on your device. Tapping on the cloud will effectively reinstall the App from scratch to your device.
There is no way to remove it from the cloud because its not yours to remove from there. Its the general App repository, you are just given access to it to download content you've already purchased.

Depends what OS X and Browser you are using?
If you are on Snow Leopard (10.6) and Safari (5.1.7) then open Safari Preferences, select the General tab and make sure that:
1. Safari opens with: A new window
2 New windows open with: Homepage
3. Homepage: is set to the desired https: site

i have a query,
Like if I have a region 'CertificationRN' when I run the page a link stating “Personalize Table: (CertificationRN)” appears above the Region
Now when I enter some data in this region, and then click on 'Personalize Table: (CertificationRN)’ link, personalize page appears.
On personalize page when clicked on “Return to Application’ it returns to the previous page, but the data which I had entered in the region is lost.
i.e. I get empty Textboxes as they where just after running the page.
What should I do to retain the data in the region?

Shilpa in that case personlization links should not be shown to business users, using profile option
1)Personalize Self-service Defn (FND_CUSTOM_OA_DEFINTION)
2)FND: Personalization Region Link Enabled
(FND_PERSONALIZATION_REGION_LINK_ENABLED)

OfficeJet 6500 prints blank fax page after every other fax page

How can I stop the printer from printing a blank page after every other incoming fax. If the fax is 5 pages, I get 10 (5 of which are blank). Tried HP support, and they can't fix this.

Sorry that you are experiencing this issue with printing blank pages. This can be a issue with the print head. You can try to clean the print head with a lint free cloth and water.
Another thing would be to perform a hard reset on the printer. Unplug the power cord from the back. Leave it out for 30 seconds and plug it back in.
See if you can print a self-test page or printer status report.
Let me know what happens.

How do i get the download window to remain open after closing firefox browser window

i sometimes download a bunch of files all at ones then have to go back to review them. but i don't need the browser open to do this just the download window. in older versions the download window would remain open after i closed the browser but i don't see a way to do that anymore?

You can set the pref browser.download.manager.quitBehavior to 2 on the about:config page.

To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website. 
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.

Word 2003+Acrobat 6: Page # became {Page} after Acrobat installed. What's the fix

As soon as I installed Acrobat 6, all page numbers on my printouts (every printer and every PDF) changed to "{page}". They look fine in the file, but are lost in the print preview. I had the issue on one machine, moved the .doc file to another one. Printed fine. Loaded Acroba 6.0. Ooops!!! Page numbers are now {page}. I uninstalled Acrobat on the test machine (using the Adobe disk). The pagination issue remains. What's the problem-do I have some settings wrong? How can it be resolved? If it can't be fixed, Is there a macro lurking after the uninstall that I should delete so I my hard copy printing (and print preview in Word) has page numbers again? Thanks.

Are other special Word fields like the {link], {TOC}, etc behaving the same way?
Have you checked Word's 'tools' to see if you are printing or displaying the hidden fields?

Ebay has a 1/3 blank page after searching. It can be the right or left side.

Part of the page is missing. Int the case above, it's on the right, but sometimes on the left. Sometimes it's normal, but will be missing after a search. Doesn't happen in IE.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

I lost my bookmark list where the dropdown doesnt work. Same goes for the webpage address tab where it just does not save. When I try to bookmark a new page after clicking "Bookmark this page", there was no response too. Can someone please help me???

It was still functioning last night and before I close the firefox window, the problem started. The problem persist until now.
1. Bookmark - tried to check the "help" list for lost bookmark but none of them seems to suit the problem i'm facing. The menu tab is there, but when i click on "Bookmarks", my previous bookmark list is not there. When I try to bookmark a new page, there is no window popping up (usually there is a small window pop-up to ask for the label of the website to be bookmarked).
2. The website address tab - usually we have a list of website that we usually visit so we just need to click on the arrow and click on the webpage that we want to visit. But now, I have to type the website address every single time. There is no drop down when i click on the arrow.

This can be a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

For Safari you could try clearing its cache and history via Settings > Safari.
For Safari and your other apps you could close them all completely and then see if they work when you re-open them : from the home screen (i.e. not with any app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of each app to close them, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
