Capability

Hi,
I created a capablity by logging into admin interface using Configurator Id and I can see the capability under Security tab if I logged into IdM using configurator id . but if I logged into admin interface with some other id (other than Configurator) I am not seeing that Capability under Security tab.
Is that the correct behavior or I am missing something?
I would like to see the capability for other users also, how can I acheive that.
Please share some ideas.

To some extent I worked on custom reports i.e. displaying an additional attribute on a report, but I didn't developed any full custom report by using task template.
actually I had a requirement to display all the deffered tasks with some additional attributes, I managed to do that in a workflow, it worked in my local machine but if run the workflow in TEST environment, I am getting out of memory error, due to large no.of users exist on that environment. I don't know what is the work around for this requirement.

I think you misunderstood banhien's earlier post. Your wife would need to log into her ePrintCenter/HP Connected account and then add each family member as an authorized sender following the steps banhien posted.

Your printer isn't on the list but you may be able to print with Epson's app or other print apps from the App Store.

How do I add an e-mail address and capability to send a fill-in pdf file

I have Adobe Acrobat 8.1.2 on my PowerMac G4 running OS 10.4.11. I created some pdf forms which have the fill in capability and posted them on my web site. I want to be able to allow someone to click on a button to automatically send the file to my e-mail address. Is that possible if someone is just using Acrobat Reader on a Windows or Apple machine. I see that one cannot "save" the filled in document but they can "print" the filled in document or print a blank (not filled in version). If they could actually save the filled in document that would be just as good because they could attach it to an e-mail. So, is there a way to create a button to e-mail the filled in form to my e-mail address when someone completes it or a way to save the filled in copy as a file (so they can do that with just Acrobat Reader)? Thanks so much for any info.

In Acrobat Pro, open the form and go to the Advanced menu and choose enable usage rights for Reader users.
Now, they will be able to fill out the form and save it to send it back to you in an email.
Be aware that there is a 500 use per form limit so this isn't a good answer for high volume use forms.

Need to find professional income tax preparation software, capable of handling 1065, 1120, 1041, 990, etc. preferably PPR compatible with Mac's OS

Need to find pro tax prep software compatible w/Macs. My software maker, Drake, does not have Mac version. I've checked Pro-Series (no) and maybe 1 other. I don't want to spend Lacert kind of $$ (neither do the majority of longtime Lacert users apparently). Obviously, no Turbo Tax, Tax Cut or any other commercial, deduction & crdit missing commercial software. They would ned to have the ability to 1) convert a few years of Drake to their program, 2) Covert files created on PC to files that 10 OS could use. Also, would like them to have reasonable PPR program, free efile, free unlimited states, capable of 1040, 1065, 1120, & (S), 1041, 990. Built in tax knowledge base. I'd be eternally indebted to you if you found sometghing as intuitive and value oriented as Drake but for OS 10. BEGINNING TO THINK APPLE bends over backwords for artistic tools but not so much business tools. Too bad, I've had a few tax returns that have bordered on art.
I will likely need to add Parallels & Windows 7 OS, preferably 64-bit to this Macbook Air. If so, I do not think I have sufficient memory or storage so would like to download & install onto NFTS (sp?) formatted 1TB HD. I do not know if hard drives, USB hubs, Optical drives etc. that work w/ Windows (as long as you choose correctly btwn SATA & IDE) will work on MacBook Air. Help greatly appreciated. So if you happen to know any pro tax prep software ompatible w/ OS 10 and/or, you could give me some info on what characteristics peripherals would need to have to use on MacBook (I'm hoping that most are inrterchanheable but my hoping ain't gonna make it so. OR if you know any great deals on Parallel-I saw some promos but not from reliable places. If I could find on Bradsdeals or Coupon Cabin I'd feel safe. I've seen an Apple ad for a bundle of software w/ some other decent parts (Snagit) . I'd love to find a promo that applies to the bundle and download all 9programs for $9.99 (right). Too many questions, sorry for any protocol violations. As you might have noticed, a keyboard is high on my agenda- I hate laptop keyboards though Apple's seems better than most. I also hate using scroll pads. Much rather have mouse. Real challenge is to find Bluetooth OS 10 keybrd that has numeric keypad. I wonder if the financial dept. @ apple uses keyboards w/ no numeric keypad, saw one that started at $99. I spent all the $$ I have on a MacBook, none leftover for overpriced peripherals, esp. w/ 2 kidfs going off to college in Sept.

Bill I've also run into a very similar problem, I own many Macs but I've had a PC for Tax Stuff. My PC broke and I refused to buy another one so I began to search for an alternative. Window's Emulators have given me so much trouble with my Tax Software.
However, I've since found out that Intuit has a cloud based tax solution that works with a MAC because it's all done online. Which means you'll need a reliable internet connection whenever you want to prepare a client's return.
It's suppose to support all of the major returns (1040, 1041, 1065, 1120, 1120S and 990)
I've yet to use this solution, but it's the best thing that I've been able to find so far. This is what I'll be using this upcoming Tax Season.

Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 crashes with not finding a capable play module on a windows desktop with a AMD Radeon R9 200 series board.

I installed Premiere Pro CS 6.0 on a brand new system.
Win 8.1,
i7 3.4 GHz on an Asus Sabertooth
16 Gig memory
AMD Radeon R9 290 Graphics Board with the latest drivers and Bios.
On starting Premiere I get the (as I noticed quite frequent appearing) error message that Premiere cannot find a capable play module and the suggestion to update my video drivers.
I tried everything I found in this forum or on the web:
Installed the latest drivers
Run the program as an administrator
Updated the Graphics board Bios
Updated Premiere CS6
Started Gpusniffer in CMD-mode to find out what board it found and added that to the cuda_supported_cards.txt in the Premiere directory.
All to no avail. The app will simply not start.
The Gpusniffers report states:

As I invested a lot in the CS6 Master Collection I am not considering an update tot the CC version, also because the same problem occurs in that version too.
I would be much obliged if someone has an answer that truly will work. This problem costed me the best part of two days’ work and fouled up my workflow considerably.

This makes me think it's using that graphics "card" ( probably built into mobo ? ...called 'onboard graphics ? )
This stuff gets tricky and sometimes the only way to make windows 'recognize' the pci graphics card is to actually take it out and boot, and then put it back in...
Then you get mssg " windows detected new hardware" and you install the drivers...
usually bios gives you choice of using onboard graphics or not ( but this too is wanky sometimes...sorry to say ...)
I recently ( this past year ) had a similar sort of situation but have a desktop, where its easy for me to take off side panel and pull the pci-e graphics card and boot, and get that horrible low res default screen...turn off, install card, reboot etc...
but anyway, it sounds to me like you're notebook is using that mobile graphics driver stuff and not the radeon. Somehow you've got to make it switch to that graphics card is maybe your solution.
sorry I dont have notebook but maybe someone else here does and can help more...

I dont know how much you know about windows stuff, but after you disable that intel thing and get your low res screen.. you DID try to update the driver for that card using 'my computer / device manager ' right ??

Will current HD DVRs have ext. drive capability when 1.9 rolls out or ONLY the new 500 GB DVR box?

Got the email about the $40 upgrade to the 500 GB Motorola box. I realize that once 1.9 is FINALLY rolled out, the box will have eSATA capability to tack on a supplemental HD. My question is, can I just not pay their $40 for the new box and instead wait until 1.9 is rolled out, and then be able to use the currently useless USB port on my current silver Motorola 160 GB HD box to hook up a 1TB drive that I can get for less than the $40 upgrade fee?
Are they are any OTHER advantages to the new box over the existing ones (feature and capability wise...I don't care about recycled materials, less energy usage, etc)?

All the 7xxx series DVRs will support an external drive. There are no plans to utilize the USB port - too slow to support MRDVR.
The 7232 has more memory (not just the disk) and is smaller, black, and supposed to use less energy (I know you said you don't care, but I mention it anyway).

Is RV110W capable of "selective" VPN routing? Split tunneling?

I'm trying to find an anwer to for a question whether the RV110W is capable of distinguish between traffic that should go to VPN tunnel and traffic that should not go thru the VPN tunnel - I think this is called split tunneling.
I've been requested to create a VPN Tunnel between an office that's using the RV110W and one corporate network where a VPN server is running. That is quite easy as I know that RV110W has VPN client mode, however there a requirement not to route all traffic through the VPN tunnel. Only traffic that directs to the corporate network (certain ragne of IP addresses) should be routed thru the VPN tunnel and the rest that directs elsewhere should not go to VPN tunnel.
Is this achievable with this device?
If not, could you recommend me a device that is capable to satisfy this requirement?

When you create a site to site VPN tunnel, all devices on each side that are on the same VLAN in which the tunnel is created should have access to each other. It will be like they are on the same network but they will have different IP subnets. So the answer is yes, devices on the "server" side should be able to access devices on the RV110W side.

Sounds like you are a bit confused with version numbers.
Latest AirPort Utility version for the iPhone / iPad is 1.3.3. There is no option or capability to export/import settings on the iOS version(s) of AirPort Utility.....although you could take a series of screen shots and save them for future reference.
AirPort Utility 6.3.x is found on a Mac.....not on iPhone / iPad. Export and Import options are found under the File menu in 6.3.x.

I can't believe Safari not capable of something IE and Firefox can...

So I have finally switched my father over to Mac I show him all this cool stuff the Mac operating system can do. I also show him how clever Safari is as a browser with the private browsing, tabs, and built in pop-up blocker, etc. So, with his new Mac and a few lessons I send him on his way.
Now my father just retired, and for years on the job used a PC. The man doesn't do all that much save for web browsing and printing. So, that same day I get the call.
_"Son, how do you print only the text that I have high-lighted on a website. On the PC all I have to do is right click and click print selected?"_
My response: "Gee, I don't know dad, It seems so easy I'm sure Safari can do it too."
He, quickly follows up with a sarcastic: " I thought you said this was better?" "I don't know son. It seems an awful lot to have invested in something that can't do what my PC at work did and it was only 4 years old."
So, long story short. If one high-lights only a paragraph on a webpage, Is there an option to just print the selected text and not the whole page with just a simple right click. Otherwise, it just seems too long and tedious to have him copy and paste after opening another program and then print.
Firefox is capable of this but you have to 1) click file, 2) select print, 3) click on a drop down menu, 4) select Firefox, 5) check mark the box for Print Selected Only, then 6) print.
Anyone, Someone please help... And if there is not a solution can they just make it an option that is a simple click away. An option right between *Page Setup* and Print under the *File Menu.*

Although not exactly the the same ease of use that my father was use to on his PC, I am sure I can make this work out some how. This is thus far the most useful suggestion I have had and that is why I marked it as answered.
This utility is very similar, but not the same in that it opens a second application and essentially pastes the high-lighted information in text-edited, from which one then goes thru the normal procedure to print.
As a suggestion if the author of the program could make it a "print selection" option in services that goes straight to print by passing the text-edited step and going directly to the printer that would be awesome.

How to Print when printer is NOT AirPrint capable

I have an iPad 2 and would like to print. My computer is a Canon PIXMA MX870. It is wireless but not AirPrint capable, as far as I can tell.
I have downloaded the Printer Pro app and tried to find my printer. Both my desktop computer (iMac) and printer are wireless. My wifi signal is strong.
Since I could not find my printer in the app window, I tried to download the app helper, but when I did, the iPad displayed the error "Safari cannot download this app." The same message occurred when I tried with Google Chrome.
Next, I tried the classic print approach - with the IP of my printer. I figured if I cannot print everywhere, maybe I could settle for home. I put in the IP address,
and the app did not recognize my printer. Nothing happened. No test page printed.
I don't know what to do. Is there an app that is recommended specifically for these issues (wireless but no AirPrint)? If not, what affordable printers are out
that can scan and copy and AirPrint, and which might you suggest?

Canon offers several Apps for their non AirPrint compatible printers. This one specifically says it supports your model of Printer:

Alternatively, you may be able to install a piece of software onm your computer that wil allow you to print to your printer.
For Mac Printopia is recommended often.

Yes. All external drives regardless of how they are connected must be ejected before they can be unplugged.

Yes, Airport Express Base Station connected to your Mac by ethernet will work as a bridge. Or you can connect the AE directly to your router/modem by ethernet if it's a non-wi-fi router and it will act as a relay for that.

You need to give more info..
Firstly only works for what.. networking.. backup.. wireless. You need more nouns.. more adjectives... describe what you want and what fails.. then we can figure out why.
Most likely you have bridged it when it should be in router mode..
Most likely you are using Lion or ML which has the airport utility bridge the TC by default.
Change it to working as a router. That might help.
If you press reset button it will default back to router btw.
