Capacity allocation in ASCP

Hi Gurus
We have  a process manufacturing customer having the following requirement
They have a capacity constraints and hence want to allocate the capacity of their plant to A Class customers and product groups (set of products having minimal setup change) and will be promising based on the allocated capacity (just think of selling some capacity of your plant to a big customer). Can allocated ATP fit this requirement ( i know allocated ATP is used for allocating total supplies, will that also allocate capacity to a customer or product group?)
TIA
Ramekri

Ron,
I am still not getting how plan is calculating Daily hours, when I multipled scheduled quantity with resource usage rate and coverted to hour I got Resource Hours/Rate but not able to find logic for daily hours.
Please see below example, the calendar is set up as 24/5.
e.g. the resource usage rate is .000619 mins
Scheduled quantity = 125008 lbs
so Resource Hours/Rate = .014925/60 *20000=4.975
but not sure how it derived daily hours/touch time as 14.228571
Thanks,

  • Capacity Allocation against Customers

    Hi,
We have a scenario that we need to allocate capacities to our customers on a monthly basis such that Product A can be made for Customer A and Customer B and the capacity available for it is 4000 units. We need to ensure that Customer A can only place an order of 2000 units and can only place an order of 4000 units if Customer B doesn't place an order for Product A in the given period.
We are a Make to Order industry and the Sales Order for the month have not been received but capacity for the future needs to be reserved for Product A and Customer A and B.
Can anyone tell me if its possible and how can it be done?
    Regards,
    Hashim Abbasi

    Hashim,
There is not a real "capacity allocation against customers" check in SAP ERP.  In SAP, when we refer to 'capacity', we are usually referring to manhours or machinehours.
However, in your example, where you wish to limit a customer's consumption by units, the standard solution is product allocation.

  • How to consider capacity constrain in ASCP unconstrain plan

Is it possible to feed available capacity (Resource & machine) to ASCP unconstrain plan, so that ASCP plan only for available capacity eventhough all the supply exist to fulfill all the demand. The constrain is, the business is not ready to move to constrain plan.
If not possible, what is the alternative solution being used across industry using unconstrain plan in ASCP.
    Hoping for your expert advise.
    Thanks,

Currently we have constrain in resource and machine capacity, we are using unconstrain plan. It would be gr8, if you provide more clarity how ASCP recommendation consider this fact and display exception for planner, as we are not able to simulate the plan for capacity changes.

  • Mail storage capacity allocation

I have a main .mac account and 3 mail only accounts. Each mail only account has a different amount of storage capacity. For example one account has a capacity of 217MB and the other has only 49.5. When I change the allocation in the main account from idisk to mail, it only effects the main account and not the mail only accounts. How can I change the allocation of those mail only accounts.

    Copied from .Mac account Help:
.Mac members can purchase up to 10 additional email-only accounts for US$10.00 each per year. (Email-only accounts include 50 MB of storage, which can't be increased.)
With the Mail.app, create/access an "On My Mac" location mailbox (one for each email only account) and transfer messages from the account's Inbox mailbox to the designated "On My Mac" location mailbox for that accounts' received messages. This process will store the transferred messages locally on the hard drive and remove the messages from the server at the same time freeing up server storage space.

  • Capacity planning in ASCP

    Hi,
Does anyone know how ascp plan calculates "Daily Hours","Touch Time" and "Adjusted Resource Hours" in horizontal plan for a resource?
Looks like plan used below logic to calculate resource hours.
(usage rate of a resource in Minutes/60) * Scheduled Quantity to derive resource hours in horizontal plan but not sure how above column values are derived.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Infoset based on logical database CRC and customer field wrongly calculated

    Hello,
I'm building an info-set (SQ02) based on logical database CRC. My requirement is to calculate a value based on the start date of the capacity allocated to a work center (KAKO-BEGZT).
I defined a customer field (named FIELD1) with data type I, defined in R-KAKO_A with the following coding :
    FIELD1 = R-KAKO_A + 100.
After having built the query (SQ01), the field returns correctly the value for FIELD1 only if an interval is defined in the capacity of the work center. Without that, FIELD1 is always null.
    Can you help ?
    Thank you

capacity header data is linked to table KAZY (interval) - if there is no relevant record there, your field1 gets nothing

  • SAP Tables needed in PP area?

    Dear Experts.
I am looking SAP related tables for the following in Production Area,
    1) SAP tables that Store materials data for Producing Finished Products/ Assembling of Finished Products
From SAP, I need to get all the table(s) that contains all formulations for all materials produced or assembled by the business unit.  These formulations should reflect components to produce the materials themselves and not the containers or packaging in which the materials might ultimately be shipped.  Formulations should also be included for packages themselves.
    2)  SAP tables for Production Standards
From SAP, I need to get Production rates and assignments to production units.
    3) SKU characterstics.
From SAP tables get all the SKU Characterstics such as SAFETY_STOCK, MIN_REORDER_QTY, REPLENISH_TYPE, TRANSIT_TIME, LEAD_TIME and other characterstics for the SKU.

  • Dramatically reduce the amt of space used by OSX

    I have a late 09' Mac Mini that's recently been upgraded from 2GB to 8GB of DDR3 1066Mhz RAM.
    Plus, it's had it's 2.5" 5400RPM 160GB HDD replaced by a 240GB SSD...
With SSD's, it's typically a good idea to have at least 10% of the total capacity allocated as free space (how much depends on the SSD)
I just upgraded from SL (with all the latest updates applied) to Mavericks, & I noticed that the latter is using far more space.*
On SL 7.1GB was used & on Mavericks 11.6GB is now used, & I haven't even applied all the latest updates to Mavericks yet!**
Looking for tips on how to greatly reduce the space used, without greatly reducing the capability/functionality/utility of the OS.
    Thank-you.
*both were clean OSX installs, only native/stock apps, no 3rd-party ones yet
**actually, it looks like it's auto-updated to the latest build of OSX, I just used the update tool & the only update left was for iBooks

    Tony T1 wrote:
My guess is that the space increased was due to the sleep image increase when you added 6G of RAM.
You can have the mini only use RAM for sleep.
The downside is that if you loose power while sleeping, then the sleep image will be gone.  Updside is 8G of diskspace reclaimed.
    In Terminal, run:
        pmset -g
    Look for hibernatemode
If it's hibernatemode=3, then "The system will store a copy of memory to persistent storage (the disk)"
If it's hibernatemode=0, then "The system will not back memory up to persistent storage"
If hibernatemode=3, look for the sleepimage with:
         ls -l /var/vm/sleepimage
    To reclaim disk space:
    In Terminal:
         sudo pmset hibernatemode 0
Then you have to remove the sleepimage with:
         sudo rm -i /var/vm/sleepimage
For more infor, see: man pmset
Okay finally had a chance to check this, nope it's set to: hibernatemode 0
Also did a ls -l /var/vm/sleepimage & got: "No so such file or directory"
I also did a ls -al in /var/vm & saw 2x swapfiles which seem to be taking a considerable amount of space.
These generally shouldn't be touched, right?
After reading that article you linked to & others it linked to, + some other reading before them, I'm 100% sure I don't want hibernatemode 1.
Resume/Autosave/Versions etc, + the FS's natural journaling abiities are more than enough for a desktop like the Mini.
So back to my original question, what else can be done to reduce space used?
I've done lots of research/reading since, but I'm still not 100% happy with the reductions.
I've come a long way though, largely by using symlinks to redirect data heavy dirs in my home dir, haven't touched ~/Library & am reluctant to for various reasons.

  • Bar chart(Ghantt chart) for Plan and actual of production order

I want to know that any standard Ghantt chart (Bar chart) is available to view the plan and actual qty, execution start and finish time of production order.
In CO01/02/03 it shows only the planned execution time in Ghantt chart, but it doesnot show the actuals.

CM07 gives about the information of capacity allocation. It will not show the actual execution from date and to date.
I want to see the Planned from period to to-period and actual also in bar chart form.
