Capacity availability check

Hi All,
I need to check the capacity availability for a person who assigned to workcenter which is assigned to the activity in the network. I maintained the cap.planning profile for network order type.
I have created 2 activity under the same network and assigned the same person to those activities. If i do check the capcity it always saying ALL THE CAPACITIES ARE AVAILABLE.Eventhough there is a capacity overload.
PLease tell me what i shall i do...

    When i create many  production order for a particular material with different huge quantities , while doing capacity availability check system issues a message *" No reqmts/caps exists or not relevant to finite scheduling*
    Here as per the message i have checked all the possible errors and everything is fine.
    As per actual requirements, work centers are overloaded. But here system displays that all work centers are available.
    Any help regarding this.

  • Auto Material & Capacity Availability check when releasing Production Order

    Dear Experts,
    Is there any configuration in Production Planning that will automatically check material availability and capacity availability automatically when a Production Order is released?
    Meaning to say, users will not need to manually click on the Check Material Availability and Check Capacity Availability button.
    Please advise.

  • [PM] - Work order (shifted) capacity availability check

    Hi all,
    I've created a shifted capacity work center (1 person) and attributed to it a planning intervals:
    As you see, this person is available during the first shift on Sunday (07.08.2014)
    I've tried to see if SAP will check the availability of this work center in the IW31 menu by planifying a WO in a non availability time of this work center (interval 4PM - 8PM)
    But SAP mention that capacities are available
    Could SAP check the availablity of persons
    (sorry for my English)

    That's why I'm talking about finite scheduling, the example that I've put in the start of this topic shows that:
    - The technician is available by default from 3PM to 11PM (capacity)
    - Specially, on the 07.09.14 (the last day of the inteval), the technician was declared available from 7AM to 3PM
    In the work order, i've requested a job from 4PM to 8PM (normally the technician will not be available in this interval)
    But as an output, SAP shows that the capacities are available (in this case, SAP refers to the default capacity and not the special interval..)
    So i wonder to know how SAP could deep analyse the availability interval of every capacity (taking on consideration intervals)
    @Kaushik: The 3rd screen capture shows "person responsible" that is different from the work center (MT-MED)..

  • System status for capacity availability in Process order

    Hi,
    I have activated the capacity availability check in SPRO to have a capacity check while process order  creation.
    But system doesnt provide any status in the process order for this. No status is appearing even  if I do a manual capacity check in process order.
    Is there any system status for capacity is available?.

    System will be give any status if capcity is available, but it will give a status MSCP if there is Capacity shortage.

  • Capacity overload check-error

    Hi Experts,
    I have a query. When i create different production orders for a single material on the same dates( assume qty as 100,200.300) on 2 nd march 2012. Now as per the inhouse production time, the work centers are overloaded. But , while doing capacity availability check, system says capacity available at all work centers.
    Any help in this regard

    One way to dispatch is in the planning table.  CM21 > select the orders > F5.
    It may be that you would benefit by downloading and reading the old SAP printfile for cap leveling at

    It is a little dated, but mostly Cap Leveling hasn't changed that much since 4.6C.  It contains most of the information found in SAP online help.
    If you have a detailed question about a specific step, please post it.  However, I am afraid that all the details and the ramifications of capacity leveling are not something you can understand by reading a 150 word online post.  If you are having difficulty figuring out how all this fits together, I think you should consult with a local Capacity Planning expert.  If one is not available, and the online help docs are inadequate, you could consider one of the excellent SAP classes, such as https://training.sap.com/us/en/course/scm365-capacity-evaluation-leveling-in-ecc-classroom-095-us-en/ or a similar class held in your country.

  • Inconsistency between capacity online check and CM01/CM02

    Hi All,
    Please help.
    During production order creation (change) capacity availability check online results differ from results in CM01/CM02.
    I've already used capacity basic load report RCCYLOAD and created basic load.
    For the evaluation (CM01/02)  i use overall profile SAPSFC010 (work center basic load). For capacity availability check online- profile recommended by SAP- SAPSFCG013 (SFC:Capacity availability check >= 3.0D).
    Don't know what could it be.

  • Capacity planning: capacity available at all workcenters

    Dear all,
    We have configured all the requirement for capacity availability check. the planned order is showing overload of capacity. but while doing conversion and checking in production order i am getting "capacity available at all work centers, which is actually overloaded.
    Can anyone suggest how to resolve this?

    I will assume this is a new implementation.  Have you calculated the basic load yet?

    I am testing capacity availability check when release work order,
    I have done configuration to active this function by T-code:OIOI,
    but when release the order, a dialogue pop up
    No reqmts/caps exists or not relevant to finite scheduling
    and the help text is that:

    Message no. CY298
    Diagnosis
    In the capacity availability check either no capacities were found or none were found that were relevant for finite scheduling or no capacity requirements were found.
    The possible causes are:
    no capacities have been assigned to the work centers checked
    in the capacities at the work centers checked the indicator Relevant to finite scheduling is not set. Thus the capacities can have an unlimited load.
    no capacity requirements exist for the order checked
    System Response
    The capacity availability is checked.
    Procedure
    Assign capacities to the work centers affected by the order.
    Set the indicator Relevant to finite scheduling at the capacities in the work centers affected.
    Find out why no capacity requirements exist and, if possible, solve the problem.
    Carry out the capacity availability check again.
    I have checked my work center, I have assigned capacity to work center, and marked the finite scheduling indicator in capacity head screen.

    Did you maintianed the Release order condition in OIOI transaction? Pls maintain one of them. And the No check in capacity window of OIOI must be un selected.
    And in work center did you maintain the number of capacities. If so it should work.

    i am facing a problem in capacity planning, while checking capacity for an order i am receiving the following error. i have given SAPSFCG015 (SFC: Evaluation, standard overview) as the overall profile in production schedular profile and in availability check, checking control. please give solution  
    The profile entered for the capacity availability check is not suitable
    Message no. CY297
    Diagnosis
    The control profile for the overall profile in the capacity availability check has not been correctly defined.
    Procedure
    Correct the control profile as follows:
    presentation: 4 (capacity availability check)
    layout type: 1 (display per period).

    Check your settings in transaction OPJK
    Note 160613 explains them.

    Is there a way to incorporate availability check (ATP) into capacity leveling process for planned/production orders?
    To make SAP check components availability on new dispatched dates: 
    - if components are available then to do dispatching,
    else, find next available date for capacity, check components availability
    To continue such search this until all components will be available on dispatched dates.

    Please read this whole message before doing anything.
    This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
    The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
    Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
    Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
    Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
    The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
    Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
    After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

    Material availability u2013 can the material availability check be switched off during  dispatching of production order but kept when order is created? 
    Is there any implications on availibilty check.
    How can we do this?

    If you want to do Material Availablity Check only at the time of order creation , please choose Availability Check Business Function 1  with your order type  /plant combination .Keep No Check  in Capacity  and do not assing  the Overall Capacity Profile Here .
    Where as keep the Capacity Overall Profile for Production Order Type with Availablity Check  -2  and Mark No Check to material availablity  option in the same .
    In OPKP -make sure that you have Capacity Profile assinged and do not mark Confirm Partial Available Qty .
    How ever , in capacity requirement , material availablity is the intregrated part  and while dispathcing production order with in the available capacity of any operation in work centre , system tries to make sure the materials are available for processing just before actual operation starts .
    Check in CM21-Setting-Strategy -Dispatch Control -Check if you have option to un-check the Material Availability .

    Hi Experts,
    Is there a way to implement ATP with finite capacity availability and material availability in a Make to stock (MTS) environment in R/3? In other words, when a sales order is created for a material, the confirmation date that is recd. should be based on Capacity and Material availability. What planning strategy would you use?
    I understand that this can be implemented in assembled to order environment (planning strategy 82 or 83), but my question is more related to MTS environment.

    This is not a trivial implementation.  You need to be sure that this is what your business wants before you embark on the change.

  • Work Order Material Availability Check Customizing

    I am currently trying to set up material availability check in the work order before saving. I am testing it by entering a material in the work order for which there is zero stock. Then clicking on ORDER > FUNCTIONS > AVAILABILITY > CHECK STOCK MATERIAL. However SAP would return 'All checked materials in order 100000317 are available' in status bar.
    My customizing is as follows:
    Define Checking Rules (SPRO):
    PM     Checking rule for plant maintenance
    Define Scope of Check (OPJJ):
       Availability Check: 01 (Daily Requirements)
       Checking Rule: PM (Checking rule for plant maintenance)

    I'am facing the almost the same problem. Could anyone tell me:
    1. How to make material availability check work  during Work Order creation?
    My requirement is Work Order can not be created when it has missing parts. I have set the config to '3' can not created when is has missing parts, but it still does not work.
    I have implemented SAP Notes 1148139 on my system (SAP ECC 6 Ehp 5) also, but still does not have any effect.
    I must not set the config Res./Purch Doc creation to 'immediately', because it does not fit to my user requirement. Is there anyone knows how to solve this requirement?
    2. How to make  information message/ Availability check screen appear when sparepart is missing, without clicking Availability Check button? for example: appear when clicking Save button.
