Capacity cumulation

Hi Experts,
I have a following query:
I have to start Cpacity planning in our factory
We have four plants have same manufacturing process.
The requirement is before booking of any order on any plant sales department shuld be able to see the load on the
all the plants. then sales can decide on which plant order should be booked.
How to y out these settings in SAP

I hope u have created general data for material like base qty, lotsize, bom status,usage in initila screen of rough cut plan profile -> then assign the "workcenter" of ur plant in for which u want to know capacity requirements for at "Resource table filed" (just double click.)-> assign the workcenter/plant/ unit as H (Hour.)
also assign the produuction time value (1 hr) for teh base qty assigned in the intila screen & save.
Now u ahve certaed rough cut plag profile for planning material & then create rough cut plan MC87. for more help plz gothrough below sap link.

Capacity cumulation in work center hierarchy

Hello
Does anyone uses workcenter hierarchies to cumulate capacity requirements ?
I've created a hierarchy but in the capacity evaluation transaction cm01,
the capacity requirements are not cumulated from the underlying work center.
Instead a capacity requirement of zero is shown on the hierarchy work center.
Is there any specifics to cumulate the capacity requirement to work center hierarchy header

Hi,
In the transaction CM01, choose the pull-down menu Settings-> General. In the pop-up screen, under the "Herarchy" tab, select the check boxes "Cumulation of reqmts" and "Dyn. capacity cumulation", choose the "Hierarchy" and "Plant" and click on "Continue".
Now the "Available Capacity" will be as per hierarchy setup and Rem. avail cap = Reqmts-Available capacity.
Hope this solves the requirement.

Cumulative Individual Capacity in CM01

Hello All,
can anyone let me know how do i get Cumulative Individual Capacity for a workcenter and a plant as i am getting in CM01 tcode.
Actually i am writing a method with import parameters as workcenter , plant, start_date and end_date.
and i need to fetch all the avaliable capacity for that workcenter for the given dates .
but the output should be same as when i check from tcode CM01 for Cumulative Individual Capacity .

Bssically , it goes from KBEZ Add. data for table KBED -CRHD(Work Centre )-AUFK/AFVC(Operation details at Production Order ) .
Refer this thread : PP Tables
Individual Capcity comes from Work Center Addtional Capacity Tab and seats into Operation Overview of Production Order .

Capacity Utilization by network activity for each period

Hi all,
How do i find out the capacity utilization at the network activity level. My requirement is to findout the remaining requirement/capacity of a workcenter for each period, which will be the cumulative value of the non utilized resources/hours for the previous months, based on distribution key.
The same functionality is there in CM07, but what is the exact functionality and how it can be reimplemented in a report?

Check if table KAKO helps. You may have to calculate the remaining capacity from available and utilised.

Doubt in creation of capacity

Hi All
I have a doubt as what effect the "Active version" field has in the creation of capacity.I have created a capacity with 20 number of individual capacities within it and maintained all details pertainng to individual capacity correctly.Now when look for CM07 I am not getting the cumulation of 20 capacities as Available capacity whereas getting only one capacity value.In the creation of the capacity (in the header screen) I have not amended any value against the active version field.
Might this be the reason for the above.Please advice

Hi.Thanks for the reply.I have not proceeded upto routing.On checking only one capacity value i have stopped proceeding further.
Another unusuall thing is SAP help says if you have not enter anything against Active version field then the system will take the 'standard available capacity' for capacity planning.Hence i have the doubt as the standard available capacity viewed in cr13 is cumulative of the 20 capacities,but still in cm07 i am getting only one capacity value as available capacity.
Please advice.

Work Center Hierarchy and Capacity

Hello SAP friends,
Can someone please help me with the following scenario?
I have 3 Work Centers
MAQ00 - (Capacity 10:00 x 2)
MAQ01 - 8:00 -- 18:00 (Capacity 10:00)
MAQ02 - 8:00 -- 18:00 (Capacity 10:00)
I have a hierarchy
HICY01
MAQ00 - Root of hierarchy
|_ MAQ01
|_ MAQ02
Then, I have a routing
10 - PP01 - MAQ00 - 1H
20 - PP01 - MAQ00 - 2H
If I go to CM01 for Work Center MAQ00 I can see the capacity and requirement, where:
Capacity: 10:00 x 2
Requirement: 3:00
But if I go to transaction CM21 for Work Center MAQ00 the capacity and requirement is not correct. Can someone please help me with this?

Hi,
CM01 will give the cumulative requirement as 3 hrs but CM21(Gradhical View) shows the individual spread of oprn. 10 and 20 as 1H and 2 H resp.

PO release based on CUMULATIVE VALUE

Hi Experts,
I have a scenario to map. Client requirement is to have a release strategy based on the CUMULATIVE VALUE of the Purchase Orders.
CUMULATIVE VALUE would mean accumulation of PO value till current PO & not the individual PO value.
Based on CUMULATIVE VALUE u2013 3 executives are required to release i.e Manger (<1 million), Manager + General Manager (> 1 & < 10 Million) & Manager + General Manager + VP (> 10 Million)
Please advise any possible solution for the same. Thanks.

I guess you should dig deeper in the business need.
What is the need or the usage of releasing a lot(bunch) of PO's. Releasing of PO's are done to keep a control on the PO's being raised by users to a particular vendor or their capacity(limit).
If a bunch of PO's is sent for release, do you think it will be serving the purpose. I think the business requirement s well as usage should be looked into once again.

Work center hierarch cumulation problem

I am trying to cumulate capacity requirement from 3 work centers...I created a work center hierarchy as below steps but I cann't see the cumulate result..it prompt no available capacity requirement or work center exist..anyone knows what I should do next?I can do capacity leveling/evaluation,so I think my IMG setting is good..i searched the SDN forum but no workable solution for me..

Create a new WC (in CR01) as category 0004. This will be the top level WC in your hierarchy.
Create a hierarchy (in CR21).
Add your 5 lathes and the newly created top level WC to the hierarchy (in CR22). This can be tricky: the WC you just created must be the top level, the other 5 must be under it.
Pull the capacity data (in CM01) for the hierarchy: go to settings, hierarchy, check the cumulation of requirements and capacities and type the hierarchy name.
Route things as before, to the original 5 lathes.

Hi ,
Dispatching is used to allocate or schedule the planned orders in the work center/resource.
We can use CM25 transaction-Graphical planning board for dispatching.
Planner can assign /dispatch the planned orders manually here. He can see graphically the planned orders overload work center which are dispatched with other.
Using cm21 you can do capacity levelling graphically or using cm22 can do cap levelling using tabular column.I feel using this would be easy.

I have created Work center Hierarchy, now want to see the cumulative capacity of subordinate work centers at Superior Work center level, but using cm01- std overview, i can't see.
Can anybody tell me , what-ever is missing?

System is showing same error ,as 'There are no capacity requirements for the
selection and settings'.
what i have given input is Superior Work Center, Plant and Planner group.
I didn't mentioned the capacity at superior WC.

CM07 Capacity Integration

Hi Guys,
I wonder if anyone can help me; we have implemented plant maintenance and have configured such that the capacity generated via PM is picked up against the work centre. However to view overall capacity we use CM07 and at the moment this report is just picking up the capacity generated by the capcity category 001 Machine - i have configured it so that it also picks up category 002 Person and indeed when i now run CM07 i can see both categories showing. However these are seperate entries in CM07 and as i result i cannot see a cumulative total of both the PP and PM capacity generated.
My question is that is it possible to see total capacity for both PP and PM generated orders in CM07? I can see this in transactions CM50 and CM55 but these do not provide the felxibility that CM07 does.

Capacity load situation is always shown in SAP for each category separately. You can never combine in standard SAP transaction. Alternatively you can see whether you can combine the category in work center itself.

New to Fios: Schedules Recordings and DVR Capacity

I just gave up on RCN in lieu or Verizon Fios and thus far - can't stand the dvr.
1) The capacity is no where near what RCN's was. I had days worth of TV, movies, etc saved and never ran out of space. With Verizon, it's been less than a week and I`m already half full. I don't have a HD TV, but I`m wondering if my lack of space is caused by the recorder taping in HD. How do I check this setting to ensure that everything being recorded is standard definition?
2) The Verizon DVR is really bad at only keeping two episodes of a show, and only recording new/first run shows. Is there any setting to make this work better? I tried to set it to record first runs only of the show scrubs, on any channel (i wasnt sure what channel the new ones are run on) and in two days it taped 10 episodes...

The FiOS DVR has the same 160GB capacity as the RCN DVR.
SD channels are 0-499 and HD channels are 500+. All the SD local channels can be found under 50.
Recordings from HD channels consume 3-6x the capacity of SD channels.

Report for calculating capacity utilization and Efficency

We are following REM in our company. The production line is defined in the production version. While backflushing the production line is called automatically and hence backflushing is done.
We calculate the capacity utilization by using the formulae.
Capacity Utilization = (Backflushed Qty/ Available capacity)*100.
My queries are:
1. Is there any standard report to determine the capacity utilization of a production line.
2. Is there any standard report to calcualte the efficency of a production line.

1. you have mentioned ; Available capacity = Std.time per piece * no. of working hrs
Let me explain with example
suppose per piece if it takes 10 mins, now according to your formula
A.C = 10* 24 * 60 = 14400 per day, but which is not correct
normally if 10 mins/ peice means 6 peices/hr and for 24 hrs 24*6 = 144.
so it must be A.C = no. of working hrs / Std.time per piece.
2. You have mentioned = capacity utlilised = total Backflushed qty per day., which means you are caluculating capacity utilization based on input material.
3. Utilization = (Avaliable capacity/ Capacity utilised) * 100
suppose let us consider Available capacity per day =100
capacity utilized = 50
Utilization = (100/50) * 100 = 200%, which is not correct it should be only 50%
Here my main doubt is why You are caluculating capacity based on input material.
Please explanin me you business process and whats the exact requirement so that I can help you out.

Features I would like to see in Capacity IQ

I am currently implementing Capacity IQ in our virtual environment and I encounter some issue's. I know some probably will be solved by VCops however it is yet uncertain whether we will purchase that software.
- I have 4 vCenters, so I need to log into Capacity IQ 4 times. This makes it hard to provide a Capacity Plan for over all my resources.
- I have multiple hardware platforms in the same vCenter. Sometimes my managment would like to know what the remaining capacity is on a specific platform. I cannot select multiple clusters, so I need to provide a forecast myself.
- Capacity IQ does not provide the intelligence for performing a what-if analysis on datacenter level.
- Some of my clusters function as a DR test-cluster. Never running any machines only during the DR-test, which are scheduled frequently. I would like the option to exclude clusters in Capacity IQ's trend analysis. This way the DR-test does not mess up the trend analysis.
- I cannot enter a custom account to schedule reports with(workaround logon to vCenter and schedule)
- I need the reports to be written to a NFS/CIFS share somewhere, so I can serve them from there and anyone can go look for themselves.
Any ideas with regards to these issue's are much appreciated!

capacity available on 32 Gb iphone is 28.49Gb
i previously had 21.97 Gb music, over 6 Gb photos, about 1Gb of apps, and minute amount of audio
now i have no music, 5.4 Gb photos and similar (0.8Gb) for apps and audio. i have deleted heaps of photos and unused apps to try to make space but obviosly this is a much bigger problem. I also created a smaller music folder on itunes to sync to but at present no music is selected for syncing due to the lack of available space.
i have 15Gb icloud account now also which is about half full.
Ive done a little research and heard similar tales but with much smaller other totals than this. Can you help?

I had the same problem today and was able to resolve it without having to do a restore or reset. The problem had something to do with my mail accounts. The upgrade reset my mail settings, switching both my gmail and my .mac mail to "archive all mail". I went into the General Settings, disabled that setting, and resynced the phone. The "other" storage allottment dropped back down to less than a gig.
Before you restore or reset, I would try that first.

Suggestion for a new macbookair flash storage capacity for dual OS

I'm planning to buy my first MBA. I'll work using logic pro and office for mac. But I also have one app that need run on win7. This app size is max 200mb.
To keep my final working file, I plan to buy external storage.
My question, looking at my work needs, pls advise what is the ideal flash storage size I should pick ? Is it 128, 256 or 512Gb ? Ideal for me means, not overcapacity flash storage.

Out of interest, so I can further select the best capacity of Flash Storage, how many document do you plan to save on the computer using Office and how often are you going to use Logic Pro?
This will help determine the best capacity.
Obviously the Logic Pro files will need to stay on the Mac however it is probably cheeper to have a Small Flash Storage and store any file that does not need to be on the actually Macintosh Drive, stored on a large external Hard Drive with files such as Office files.
Obviously the Logic Pro files will be anywhere from 10mb -up and therefore this will be needed to be taken into consideration when purchasing the Flash.
Just for your sake: 14 tracks of audio, 10 of which are drums and a song that is about 5 minutes long, could be at least 25mb in file capacity.
Remember once you have bought the device you cannot make the capacity bigger and thereofre it is better to have more than not enough however do not waste your money if you do not need it.
