Capacity evalution

Dear Guruji
we are COR1 to create process order in SAP.During creation of process order below message is appear
No reqmts/caps exists or not relevant to finite scheduling
what is change we have to do to remove this message?
we have also problem in capacity evaluation in T-code CM01.it saws only planned order capacity but our most of process order create directly by COR1.so what is procedure or and steps we have to change to see total capacity evaluation of planned order & process order in resources
Thanks
Pankaj Kapadia

Hi,
For each process order type & plant combination for which you want to generate Capacity Requirements maintain following configuration setting :
Go to OPUZ (Scheduling Parameters) : Select Plant & order type & production scheduler as * ---> Under Detailed Scheduling tab opposite SelID : Detailed two check boxes are there : Scheduling & Generate Capacity Reqs. maintain tick in that.
With this settings, capacity requirements will be generated.
Hope this helps.

  • PP-PM integration : CM50 (capacity evaluation)

    Hi experts,
I have an equipment with a PP work center filled (in "work center" field, in location tab).
I have created a PM order with "system condition" set to 0 (=out of order) and a work duration of 8HR
The PM work center has the following capacity information :
    Start                06:00:00
    Finish               18:00:00          Capacity utilization 100
Length of breaks     01:00:00          No. of indiv. cap.   4
Operating time       11.00             Capacity             44.00        HR
    Overload     0%
The PP work center has the following capacity information :
    Start                06:00:00
    Finish               06:00:00          Capacity utilization 80
Length of breaks     01:30:00          No. of indiv. cap.   2
Operating time       18.00             Capacity             36.00        HR
    Overload     0%
When I run CM50 for the PP work center , I get the below information for the related period/day :
    Requirements     Avail.cap.
    20.864 HR          57.375 HR
Can someone explain to me how the system get those values??
    Thanks,
    P.

    Hi,
    1. Check the work center capacity whether you maintain capacity interval or not. With capacity interval, it will change the capacity header data.
=> intervals are maintained and for the related period :
Day SNo   Day  Shift Start    Finish   Breaks   Cap. No. Oper. Capacity     Un
    1   1                06:00:00 14:00:00 00:30:00 85   3   6.38  19.13        HR
    1   2                14:00:00 22:00:00 00:30:00 85   3   6.38  19.13        HR
    1   3                22:00:00 06:00:00 00:30:00 85   3   6.38  19.13        HR
I guess the above explains why capacity available in CM50 is 57.375(=3x19.125). Because (8-0.5)x0.85x3=19.125
    2. Do you maintain shift sequence in Grouping field? If so check the configuration of shift sequence.
    => Grouping field not maintained.
    3. Please note that the PM Order will not reduce the available capacity, instead it will increase the requirement.
=> could you give more details about your statement.
    4. Please ensure that the system condition is set to reserved capacity to PM in configuration.
=> for 'system condition = 0 (out of order)' , 'reservation by PM' indicator is selected
Also you need to enter the PP work center in PM orders (or in equipment master) in location tab.
=> PP work center maintained in location tab in PM order
    5. Also the work duration in PM order is not used. Instead it will use operation. start date/time and operation fin date/time. For example, the operation start date start from 08:00 to 12:00 on the same day, the capacity requirement is calculated at 4 hours.
=> in PM order, the operation start date/time and finish date/time are : Erl. start 20.06.2011 06:00:00        Earl. fin. 20.06.2011 14:43:38
    6. Hope that you didn't change the configuration in extended capacity evaluation. If so, check your configuration too.
=> do you know that configuration path in IMG?
Do you have an idea how CM50 gets a requirement of 20.864HR?
    Thanks for your time.

  • Capacity evaluation

    Hi all,
While run capacity evaluation system shows error 'No capacity requirements were found in the evaluation period".
    how to resolve this issues
    AD Thanks
    Jack

    Dear,
Check in CM01 do you have capacity requirement in CM01.
Please check which is the overall profile are you using?
For this profile in OPA6 you need to see as which Selection Profile is assigned, Now check Selection profile in OPA2 Interval selected
    Type of date specificatn. G
    Start date
    Finish date
Setting and order as laying in these days.
Also check standard values and test the formula of work center/resource (with the lot size of the phase or operation of routing) and Does an active version of the available capacity exist?
Also check the capacity categories existing at the work center and control key mark for capacity requirement.

  • How to view capacity evaluation in the past ?!?!

    Hi friends,
I'm writing a report to show the capacity evaluation within date range. I found t-code CM50 but it just show result from current date to future. Please tell me how to view it in the past.
    Thanks,
    Hau

    Hi ,
In CM50  click on change time profile
here pue Start date in -ve for Planing and Evaluation
For eg - if you want to see the planing in last 30 days Put 30-

  • Capacity evaluation for internal and external workers in one work center

    Hi ,
Normally in all Industries you have internal manpower to execute work. Say I have a work center named "Mechanical" , I will have 5 people working 8 Hrs for 5 days in a week. We usually configure this in capacity tab of work center for capacity category "002-Labour".  In scheduling tab we configure sceduling data for a capacity category "002-labour"
In many industries , depending on load, many time, external labours are hired to give assistance to internal workers. Technically it is like adding one more capacity category "PER-Person" and adding number external labours there and in scheduling tab adding required configuration for "PER" capacity category
Total capacity for any given day would be available capacity in capacity category -002 + available capacity in PER capacity category.
However in scheduling Tab , scheduling basis can be either 002/PER.
How can we add more scheduling basis to refer to more than one capacity category ?
Any other alternative to above problem statement?

let us say, you have a work "Pump repair" which is done partly by internal workers say 2 people and 1 external labour. Let us assume the number of people in 002-labour is 2 (internal ) and  capacity in capacity category (PER) which is external work center is 3 (Total 5 ).
Now if I I leave scheduling basis as blank, then system will calculate scheduling based on 002 capacity category as it is "Major" . But I want system to consider both 002 and +PER .
You are suggesting two line items "Pump Repair internal" and give 2 numbers and duration as 8  control key PM01 . Create another operation "Pump repair External" use control key PM02 (where in scheduling is enabled)  where 1 number - 8 Hrs duration is maintained with another work center.
If I maintain 2 different work centers and two different operations, this will work. But for customer this is just one work and capacity evaluation should be based on capacity category 002 and PER .
How to solve this by maintaining one work center , two capacity categories in same work center  and maintaining one control key PM01 in operation?

  • Capacity evaluation in work center which has number of indivisual capacity.

    Hi. guys.
Work Center(WC01) has 2 indivisual capacity.
    and available capacity is 16H.  (8H * 2)
    I made capacity requirement(production order)  with 26H.
Capacity evaluation displays the result as below.
    Entries        Rem.cap.reqs      Avail.capacity   R
    Total                       26 H            1,632 H
    2009.10.09               0 H               16 H     0
    2009.10.10               0 H               16 H     0
    2009.10.11               8 H               16 H    50
    2009.10.12               8 H               16 H    50
    2009.10.13               8 H               16 H    50
    2009.10.14               2 H               16 H    12
    2009.10.15               0 H               16 H     0
I don't know why the requriment capacity is only 8H per day.
I think that the requirement capacity should be 16H per day.
    can anyone explain the reason?

    Thanks.
But  It's not what i want.
I'll explain my problem more detail
    Work Center(WC01) -  Available Capacity: 16H   ( 8H * 2 (No. of Indivisual capacity))
Caracity Requirement -  production order 1000001 (Start date: 10/10,   Excution Time:  24H)
    Capacity Evaluation (CM01)  <NOW.>
    Day        Requirements    AvailCap. CapLoad
    2009.10.10         8.00        16.00    50%
    2009.10.11         8.00        16.00    50%
    2009.10.12         8.00        16.00    50%
    So, I don't understand 'capacity load(%')
I want to product the material using two capcity
but capacity evaluation calcuate only one capacity now.
I think the below result is right.
    Capacity Evaluation (CM01)  <NOW.>
    Day        Requirements    AvailCap. CapLoad
    2009.10.10        16.00        16.00    100%
    2009.10.11          8.00          8.00      50%
    2009.10.12          0.00          0.00        0%
    Is it impossible??

  • Capacity Evaluation: CM01 does not consider partially confirmed Prod Ord

    Dear Gurus,
I was doing a test for CM01 and I found out that the Production Order with partial confirmation/delivery is still being considered as a full quantity in CM01 pegged requirements. For example is below:
    Prod Ord Qty is: 1500
    Partial Confirmation made: 500
Now in CM01 it still shows 1500, I thought it should only be 1000. Reason is this order is backlog from last week thus I only want the system to consider the 1000 open quantity and not the whole 1500. Is it achievable in CM01?
    Thanks,
    Raymond

    Hi,
but this Production Order is still open with 1000 PC. I will still need to process the 1000 remaining quantity out of 1500 and in CM01 I would like it to show on 1000 PC instead of 1500 PC.
Another thing is for example, Im on the middle of the week, my available capacity is reduced and I also have already partially confirmed the production order. Then when I execute CM01, it will show capacity overload eventhough the open quantity is also decreased.
So my concern is instead of Production Order Base Quantity, can the system check the production Order Open Quantity?
    Thanks,
    Raymond

  • External Vendor capacity

Here is some background on the last attempt of doing External vendor capacity evaluation in R/3 - 3.1.
<i>I have been loading independent demand into MD61 and created various planning scenarios in MS31.  From there I ran the MRP on MS01.  We developed two customized transactions ZVCAP and ZCAP.  ZVCAP allows the user to load vendor capacities into monthly buckets.  The fields that one is suppose to load is the vendor, capacity type (Available, Tooled, and Contracted), part number, year, and monthly capacities.  ZCAP is a customized report that compares the capacities in ZVCAP against the dependent component requirements from transaction MD61.</i>
<b>Is there similar tools in standard R/3 v. 4.6 that can make this comparison?</b>

    Hi Guy,
As per my understanding, capacity requirements check is only possible against the receipt elements not againts the issues like independent requirements or dependent requirements.
You can use CM07 /CM38 transaction. Once you have develop the Zreports then why do you again standard reports?

  • Regarding workcenter capacity and scheduling

    Hi Experts,
I have created a workcentre and maintained all formula's for each activity in the workcentre. Now what I want is that, while confirming the activity , If workcentre gets overloaded beyond tolerance limit then it must issue a warning message and wont allow us to confirm that much activity.
    Case 2:
If capacity is overloaded then the timeframe also should mave accordingly as automatic scheduling.
your valuable suggestion would be highly appreciated
    Regards
    Ashutosh Saraf

    Hi,
Work center capacity and activity confirmation both are different entities and this is what I guess. Please correct me if wrong.
Let me put it this way...
Work force is assigned at work center level which let you know the total capacity being maintained at referenced work center. If some one asked me about what is the capacity of work center A, then my reply is 64 hours/day (10 persons with 8 hrs each and performace 80%). Thats how we derive the capacity of WC.
Now coming to Activity confirmation: for example you have planned hours of 100 on NWA and keep confirming periodically. When you cross the limit of planned 100 hours system gives a warning that activity is already confirmed (I mean reached 100% of planned work) but still allow you confirm beyond planned hours.
In combined view of WC and NWA, system never gives any kind of warning message even if you going beyond the planned hours on NWA.
As Mahendra pointed out, capacity evaluation and levelling being done manually and there is no automated process available unless you have developed program which takes care off.
Case2: Capacitiy overloaded or underloaded, capacity levelling to be performed basing on available capacity at work center level by manually.
The time frame adjustment (I assume you are talking about automatic scheduling), if activity confirmation is less than the planned distributed value, whenever system schedules automatically and let you know ETC (Expected time of completion). for that you have to select the automatic scheduling check box at NWA.

  • Capacity problem in production order

    Hi Friends
I am facing a serious problem in capacity evaluation. After MRP run with scedulling as 2. After this I am able to see the capacity in respective work centers for the planned orders. But when converted to production order I am not able to see. When I checked the order it is showing as "Order 60003310 has no requirements in the eval.period, so there is no display".
I dont have any clue as whats happening since the capacity is there till it is a planned order. Any suggestion?
    Thanks & regds

    Hi,
Your problem is with Evaluation period as system not displaying the capacity so first check whther is nay capacity requirement is there in this period you can check with CM01 also.
    In OPD2.
Assuming you want to create a time profile for 2 months.
Entry Type    Start Date     End Date
    Database Read Period            J                -3                   3
The database read period specifies the period in which capacity requirements are read  from the database. All requirements are accessed which are partially or completely
    within the database read period.
    Evaluation Period          G              -1           60
The evaluation period specifies the period over which data is formatted and displayed.
The evaluation period must lie within the database read period.
    Planning Period            G              -1           60
The planning period defines the period in which the SAP system can carry out planning.
The planning period is smaller than or equal to the evaluation period. You cannot move  operations outside the planning period. Equally, when automatic finite scheduling is
carried out for an operation the system only searches for a new date .
    Please check and come back.

  • How to check Capacity in area unit ?

    Hi Gurus...
I have created Resources with Warehouse+proc. unit. The capacity of the same iis to be checked in area Unit i.e sq.mtr.
I have accordingly maintained the Parameter, Formulas , for the Resource. The Capacity Category I have used is Warehouse+proc. Unit .
As an Eg -One resource that I have created is GREENHS is the resource in sandbox system for XXXX Plant.
Now whenever I try checking the capacity (Capacity Evaluation u2013 CM50/CM52), the values displayed are in Days (time unit). I want to check this values as sq mtr. (area unit).
Also it is not taking any capacity requirements in picture i.e always the Available capacity and required capacity are same, and it is not booking any capacity for the Process Orders created.
Can you please guide me as to where am I making mistake, or I have maintained some wrong settings.
    Thanks and regards,
    A S K

    Hi
    1. To display capacity in different unit of measure,  In CM50 Menu bar use the path( Settings> Value Display>Covert Unit).
    2. If the required capacity is not getting loaded in the Resource, Please check in the Capacity details whether you have mentioned the Parameters (Relevant for finite scheduling , Normal available capacity & Factory Calendar)

  • Blocking of work center capacity for capacity planning

How can i block a work center capacity for capacity planning during Machine breakdown( via a Preventive maintenance order)?
i believe it will reduce machine capacity, yet how can i view this, against the previous capacity? is there a possible report or can it be shown through a transaction?

    Hi,
In capacity header details screen not exactly as "can be used for capacity evaluation " but
    "relevent to finite sceduling"
"can be used for several operations"
    "long term planning"
these all indicators you can deflag this and check the results ,it may helpful to you.

This deletes the capacity from the network and also sets the network as status CLOSED. But when I check the capacity evaluation report through CM50 with the Work center and the plant it is still showing the capacity for the closed network.
Please suggest something to close the network that would also update the capacity to 0 for that network.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Capacity cumulation in work center hierarchy

    Hello
Does anyone uses workcenter hierarchies to cumulate capacity requirements ?
I've created a hierarchy but in the capacity evaluation transaction cm01,
the capacity requirements are not cumulated from the underlying work center.
Instead a capacity requirement of zero is shown on the hierarchy work center.
Is there any specifics to cumulate the capacity requirement to work center hierarchy header
    Best regards
    Pascal

    Hi,
In the transaction CM01, choose the pull-down menu Settings-> General. In the pop-up screen, under the "Herarchy" tab, select the check boxes "Cumulation of reqmts" and "Dyn. capacity cumulation", choose the "Hierarchy" and "Plant" and click on "Continue".
Now the "Available Capacity" will be as per hierarchy setup and Rem. avail cap = Reqmts-Available capacity.
    Hope this solves the requirement.
