Capacity Load...

Hi there,
I want to know the load on the capacity on daily basis which should include the Process/Production order against work will be done , the start & end time for which the capacity is running......
Is there any T-code thru which the report can be generated...
Also in the T-code CM55 how the change time profile works.......(the logic)

The capacity load is determined from a comparison of capacity requirements (for a specific capacity category) and the capacity available. This value is always specified as a percentage of the available capacity.
Try using the transactions CM01, CM02, CM03, CM04..........
There are many such transactions which gives you details of loading like over loaded, under loaded.
There are reports for Resource/ Work Center load wise, Prodcution order wise, Material wise.

Error when execute service Find Capacity Load Planning View...

Hi experts
I am using the esworplace to test this service:

When i execute in web service navigator, one error happen. Belowis i post the XML error returned.

Hi Brandao,
From the error log you had sent, it seems that the time zone maintained for the resource L-1000 is invalid which requires correction.
Correct the time zone maintained in the resource and then retry

Capacity load as real routing works

Hi:
I have anther question about SFC capacity leveling..why capacity load is not the same as production scheduling?
for example:PO require 52 hours for producing 100kg finish material and it automatically schedule the start date based on the finished date entered..(order start and finished date from 2012-1-2 to 2012-1-5)..when I use CM22 to do capacity leveling,the capacity load is in 2012-1-2..If I change the distribution rule in the evaluation profile to SAP0060(standard),then the capacity load will split evenly on these three days...How can the capacity load as routing ?like first day 24 hours,second day 24 hours,third day 4 hours..I want SAP to consume all the capacity in the first day and then the second instead of split evenly or put in the first day...How to make it ?thanks..
Overall profile for CM22 is SAPSFCG002 and evaluation profile for this profile is SAP___A001.

Hi,
Distribution rule is used when capacity requirements are displayed by period. If you go to Extras->Individual Capacities or Extras->Evaluation->... from the tabular view, you will see requirements are distributed.
The business requirement you stated in the blog is different than the one here in the thread. Formulating the dsitribution function as follows might better suit the requirement in the blog. This way capacity is load is distributed at the start of each half of the operation time.

In CM01 transaction Menu click on Settings -> General;
In the data area Interval to be evaluated start field will be blank by default. you can enter in -value so that start date would go in past.
click on Time periods button . check Period of database selection From date. You can get details only from the date for the Overall profile attached.
if this has not solved your purpose, you have to change OverallProfile.
Planning -> Profiles -> Overall Profiles.
Select another Overall profile.

Rough cut Capacity load in Standard SOP

I have created some sales & production plan syncronous to sales......but when I try to see the capacity load thru View- > Capacity Situation - > Rough Cut planning- > Show
It is showing me that No Resource load exists ...... please guide me how can I see the load for the same

Hi,
Please maintain the settings as mentioned below.Then you can see the load.
Before you can carry out resource leveling in SOP, you must:
1.) Create a PP task list (a routing, a rate routing, or a rough-cut planning profile) for the material, product group, or characteristic values combination whose resources you want to plan.
2).Configure resources planning in Customizing for Sales & Operations Planning.
3).If you use routings or rate routings to do resource leveling, define the key figure to which the resources are tied. Do this in Customizing for Sales & Operations Planning under Set parameters for info structures and key figures.
4).Define the planning plant of any information structure whose plant is not uniquely identifiable (that is, either your information structure does not contain the characteristic "plant" or your rough-cut planning profile covers more than one plant). Do this in Customizing for Sales & Operations Planning under Set parameters for info structures and key figures.
5).Set the default SOP plant for Sales & Operations Planning. Do this in Customizing for Sales & Operations Planning under Set planning plant for SOP.

Capacity load in planned order

Hi,
I am facing problem to see a load as per planned order wise in CM 02 & CM 07. But I can see the load in md12 after rescheduling .I have done the following settings
1. While running MRP I have selected Lead time scheduling & capacity planning.
2.In Control key capacity tick is there
3. In work center relevant to finite scheduling
4 For scheduling & .Cpacity formula in IMG relevant for capacity tick is there.

Sales order schedule confirmed date will consider Production capacity load

As we know about schedule confirm delivery dates of sales order will consider based on material master lead time ,shiping point etc
How to consider production capacity plan on sales order's delivery date.
Say for example :
Production workcenter capacity to produce the XYZ material 10qty in a Day.
today i have created the sales order XYZ materail qty of 100. lead days has give based of MMR 21 days 17-07-2010( 3 sundays)
and in same day i have created other sales order XYZ material qty 5000 ,the lead days again it will came 17-07-2010.
Now my client requiremnt is when the schedule days is confirming in the sale order it sholud also consider the production capacity planning also(CR01,CR02)
Even though my work centers are overloaded it is confirming the sales order on 17-07-2010 (based on leads days in MMR)

Hi,
This is a complex issue; best solution is by using APO/GATP.
If not, then in ERP only, the second best is:
1) Work with assembly processing in SO, meaning that a production/planned order is automatically created in the customer order during order creation.
2) Then, after the order is created it is scheduled, and the delivery date proposal is based on that.
3) Now you can check in the order that there are no capacity overloads, and all capacity required to produce on the proposed date is available. If yes, you're done. If not, it gets a bit complex, since you actualy need to switch to capacity planning, do capacity leveling and dispatch (PP), and the you get a new feasible schedule proposal based on that.
APO/GATP could do all that automatically!

Mant. orders, Capacity load and material shortage messages on IP10 and IP30

Hi Experts,
In customizing, If we have marked on capacity and material checks for planned work orders (Order type PM02) and maintained the finite scheduling check in work center then system only shows capacity overload message while scheduling on IP10, doesn't show any message for material shortage and finally system show both messages on work order level when we try to release that order.
On other end system doesn't show any message (capacity overload and material shortage messages) while scheduling by IP30 (Deadline monitoring) and show the same behavior as discussed above upon release.
Can anybody tell me how would I show the above missing messages on IP10 and IP30?
After creation of maintenance orders system maintaining the system status NTUP (dates are not updated) what does it meant?

Have a look at OIOI transaction for "order create" status and make sure to select the "check material on save" check-box for Material availability to be triggered on save.
NTUP means that the dates haven't been updated (Scheduling hasn't been done for the order).Make sure to select Automatic scheduling check box for the plant and order type in transaction OPU7 if you would like scheduling to be performed automatically on Save of the order.

Function Module to get a work center's capacity requirements (load) within a given period

Hi all experts,
Currently I’m doing a capacity summary report similar to CM01, but with a summarized capacity availability and loading for a period.
Selection Parameters: Work center range from and to, Period from and to
List Format: Work Center, Avail Capacity, Loaded Capacity, Free Capacity, Load %
I have found a standard function module (FM) to get work center's available capacity for a period, but still facing the challenge to find a FM to get a work center’s capacity requirements (load) in a period.
I have read through all the related threads from the web, and tested the recommended FMs, but still cannot get a right result.
Please help to provide some leads for a FM or the logic.

The following function modules should be useful:
   - CY_PRIMARY_SELECTION            - Function module for selection of orders for the work center
   - CY_SECONDARY_SELECTION          - Check for additional criteria
   - CR_CAPACITY_AVAILABLE_PERIODS   - Reads the available capacity from work center
   - HR_PERSON_READ_TIME_INFO        - Reads the available capacity from person (modification)
   - CY_GET_PART_CAPACITY            - used only for the first period to read backlog
   - CY_LOAD_DISTRIBUTION            - Distribution key
Please observe that these are simple function modules, not BAPIs, That means, they were developed to be used on the SAP internal programs and they are not supported by SAP when used in custom programs.

How to change operation dates in Production Order /Capacity Leveling

We are using ECC 5.0 .In production order , scheduling happing as Backward based on the Sales Order Delivery Date .I am doing the following :
1.Demand as Sales Order with Delievery date : 20.03.2010
2.Running MRP with Lead Time Scheduling -2 in md02 and converting the Planned Order to Production Order .
4.Production Order have following dates :
         Basic Finsish Date : 21.03.2010
         Basic Start : the day Pl.Or--Pr.Ord
         Schedule Start : 15.03.2010
         Schedule Finsish : 17.03.2010
        Schedule Release : 13.03.2010
5.In schedueling margin key : Float Before Production : 3    , FAP : 3 , Release Period : 2
6.In material master : Work Scheduling View : Setup : 3 days , Processing : 4 ,Interoperation : 2 for one Base Qty 1

2.How to change/re-schedule operation dates d in CM21 (Graphical view -Work Center Capacity load as per   Production Order and Operation combination ) based on capacity availale in advance dates? I am using Time Profile : SAPSFCZ002 -SFC Graph midterm-3 motnhs and Planning ,

Capacity Consumption of Process Orders Query

Hi Forum,
The client has process orders passing from ECC to APO and the busienss user looks at the SNP Capacity planning book view to see the resource capacity load.
This was all working fine when the ECC scheduling type on the process order was either: 5: Forwards in Time, or 6 Backwards in time.
Yesterday there was a change in ECC where they starting using the scheduling type: 3 Only Capacity Requirements.
SInce thsi chnage APO has stopped recognising the capaicty consumption on the resources. The Process order still appears in APO SNP planning books, but not in the capacity book.
Is '3 Only Capacity Requirements' compatible with APO SNP?
When a process order was changed back to '5 Forwards in Time' in ECC COR2, it would instantly pass to APO and the capacity consumption would return.
Is there some SPRO config somewhere?

Sorry for the delay. I have found a user exit in ECC that controls the filtering of operations. An SAP note (367658 ) appears to suggest it is filtering out the operations when the ECC scheduling setting 3 is used.
My initial testing seems to show this user exit fixes my issue.
From the business side, we have a quite complex solution wher APO plans, ECC converts to process orders and another non SAP system does the scehduling and sends it back. Im not sure on the need for the scheduling type 3, as im not the ECC consultant involved, but im pretty sure its related to the number of lines on the resource in this non SAP scheduling tool.
Not ideal, but if the user exit works for me then i will run with it.

some T.Code like ( CM27 ) where the end user is not able to see the capacity load in the capacity table and the order,operation details
it's happening with few system in the client site. I am not able to trace out the exact root cause.
What need to be done?
