Hi
We avail of certain services incurred for Capital Assets. For the service tax charges on the same, the government allows to take only 50% credit in the first year and the remaining 50% in the second year. Also, the credit can be taken only to the extent of payment made against the invoice. For eg, if the expense is Rs 100 and service tax on the same is Rs 10. Now if the payment is made for Rs 110, the system should transfer only Rs 5 for service tax from on hold to credit account.
using the standard functionality of deferred tax, system can transfer the entire amount based on payments made against the invoice. How can we handle this in SAP?

Could someone explain to me the difference between Period accounting and Cost of Sales accounting? Where is period accounting configured in ECC 6.0?
I am trying configure PCA. The client wants the Profit centers to be setup product-wise. They have 3 products: a) a handheld GPS device, b) the accessories for the GPS device, c) and the subscription. I have setup 3 profit centers according to the 3 products.
Does either cost of sales accounting or period accounting come into the picture in my scenario? What I mean is, do either of the two methods have to be configured? And if so, why?
I have read in some places ("Configuring FICO" by Hurst & Nowak) that preparing PCA to accept actual postings can be very simple or complex. On the simple side, all that is required is to activate the fiscal year control parameters, create the proper document types, and define the necessary number ranges. For more complex solutions, additional account assignment may be maintained, and internal goods movement can be defined.
My client is just looking for a plain vanilla implementation of PCA at this time. Does that affect whether we use period or COS accounting?

Period Accounting
In period accounting, the performance of a particular business unit (profit center) - that is, its revenues, changes in inventory and capitalized services - is set off against the total costs of the period. This occurs at the G/L account level and adheres to the formal structure of Financial Accounting. This gives you a uniform structure of report data and lets you reconcile the data of cost and financial accounting on the basis of cost elements.

For month I cannot connect to the Capital One online account services

Whenever I try to connect to the online services of Capital One in the uk, I get a note "We're sorry, Online Account Services is currently unavailable. I called Capital One and was told: now problem just use the Internet Explorer. But I prefer the Firefox. What can I do.

Capital nature services capturing through PS

I do know the PS reservation for material & cost arrising from them. But want to know how capital nature services cost could be attached to PS in SAP.
We can get all material issued under the project in PS using CJ20N T-code. But services are not appear in that list. Want to know how we can link the services also..

you need to release that service activity on release system will generate Purchase requisition. again this is depend on your setting whther it is immidiate pr creation or on release.
select sercive activity - Edit- status - release.
then check procurement data- there you will find PR no. W. r. to that PR you create PO remaining this explained in previous reply.

I lost my job back in 2011 and was not able to pay some of my cards and 3 went into collections: 1. Capital one (limit 1200) with Portfolio Recovery Services2. Orchard (HSBC $300) with Portfolio Recovery Services3. Citi ($6800 with Capital Management Services) I could not get pay for delete with any of them, so I went ahead and paid almost the full amount with PRS and settled for around $3000 with Capital Management Services and paid it in 3 installments. The last one was June 1st and the credit reports have been updated yesterday. The card still doesn't report 0 balance, but reports balance minus 3 payments. I received the letter from CMS stating that I paid the settlement. I really need to have zero balance showing because I want to start rebuilding my credit. Right now, my FICO scores are around 550 and I am hoping to raise them to around 650 at least within the next 1 year. What should I do? Order all the reports and dispute? Contact CMS?

After messing around with various combinations of things, it seems that if the getters and setters have more than just the initial capital letter the (eg getTheThings instead of getThings) the WSDL gets messed up. Does anyone have any ideas what is going on here?

Using <autotype> and <source2wsdd> to generate what I need. Now WL seems happy.

Type of service during national roaming (MVNO)

I'm using the MVNO network BOB in Austria which is part of A1 and uses A1 national roaming. I'm not seeing the type of service (4G, 3G, GPRS) because its only showing the "R" symbol all the time. This issue does not exist on the AOSP or Google Play editions of Android. Please fix this issue!

I have the same problem in Slovakia. O2 has a national roaming agreement with Telekom (T-Mobile) whith no additional cost for customers for both voice and data. The same would be true for the new operator Swan Mobile (only it's still not known who will be the roaming partner). There are also some virtual operators (MVNO) like Funfon, Tesco Mobile, etc., which use another operators network.
I have a SIM card from O2 and if I have the data roaming disabled I cannot transfer data if using Telekom's network even if it will not cost additional money. If I enable data roaming it's possible to use all networks for data. But as I live in Bratislava which lies almost exactly on the border to Austria and Hungary (and by the way it's capital city of Slovakia) I should disable data roaming, because it happens frequently that I'm connected to Austrian or Hungarian networks.
I found on the internet, that it's already solved in the 4.2.(something) version of android (something like seperate setting to enable national roaming), but it's not possible in the Xperia M2 with Android 4.4 (Kitkat), which is the actual latest version for Xperia M2.
Sony can you please fix this?

GR/IR Account service

Dear All,
I have configured in OBYC. Valuation class Blank & assign G/L account for GRIR Capital assets in WRX.
but when i do Asset GRn it will pick up correctly.
My worry is i also assigned G/L account for valuation class 2900 (Service).
but when i do Service entry G/L account is picked up Capital not service.
all(service & Asset) entries gone to one G/l Account which has made GRIR capital.
when i removed this G/L account System shows error.
How to correct G/L account.
Please guide me.

Hi,
When you define the OBYC setting for the WRX you specify the valuation class blank & G/L account GRIR capital & 2900 valuation class with other G/L.
Actually the system will first search for the valuation class for the GR/IR clearing account, if not then it consider for the blank valuation class G/L account & post.Check whether the Service entry sheet you are accepting is which valuation class & whether G/L account has defined for that in WRX.
Dont delete the line.Check for the valuation class of SES.
if not send the case in detail.

Open letter to Verizon Wireless Management and Customer No-Services

After more than 10 years as a customer of Verizon Wireless, I have recently encountered several situations that have caused me to begin the process of changing my service provider to another company. Verizon has "zero" loyalty or appreciation of its existing customers; they have poor, and in one particular case, rude customer no-service representatives and policies.
I purchased a new smart phone for my college daughter. Of course, activation of this new phone required the purchase of a data plan, even though she doesn't need or intend to use data services. (That's fine; I was aware of this cost even though I believe it to be over-priced). In addition, they also required a $30 fee for signing a new contract. Seriously? Are you kidding me? A fee for the "privilege" of signing a contract with the big, powerful, arrogant Verizon? I don't want a contract in the first place; it is Verizon that wants the contract. They should pay me for signing a contract. I could understand a fee for a new account setup (not really, but it makes a little sense) but a fee for an existing multi-line, long-time customer where the paperwork is nothing more than a mere mouse click of the "I Agree" button?
So, the daughter gets her new phone with 24 months of data (for the low, low price of 25 months.... yea right). We take her old phone, which she has had for several years, and decide to use it on another of the lines in our family plan because it has a qwerty keyboard. Now, I learn that I have to sign up for a data plan to use this old phone on a different line. This phone has been in service for several years with no data plan but now I have to have a data plan to use it? What the **** ??? I only wanted to use the phone for voice calls and a few texts. I have no need for data. This phone, an ENV3, is not well suited for data services anyway. (No, I won't be using this old phone after all.)
Companies such as yours dream up junk fees; this one amounts to $1.25 per month additional revenue. They do this as a way of increasing revenue while advertising a lower price, ie advertise $30.00 per month but actually charge $31.25. I suppose they all pat themselves on the back and start counting all the new-found money. The management is so stupid and arrogant that they do not realize what the long-term impact could be. In this particular case, the end result shall be the net loss of $250.00 per month in revenue. I know that you don't care; that is painfully obvious and clear.
Well Mr. Verizon, you may consider this to be my official letter of resignation. Consider me gone, done, history. I don't need you, your arrogance, or your over-priced services. I currently pay nearly $250/mo to your company for six phone lines, four of which are "very lightly" used for calls and and a few text only. Personally, on my line, I do nothing but make and/or receive an average of two 3-minute calls per week. I put up with a lot of crap making my money; I do not have to tolerate any when spending it. I WILL be taking ALL my business elsewhere. Four of my lines are currently month-to-month with no contract. I will be moving these to another provider in the coming week. The remaining ones will be moved upon expiration of their respective contracts.

Verizon has no obligation to respect your "loyalty." They do, however, have an obligatory fiduciary duty to their investors, hence the "upgrade" fees, "line access" fees, "regulatory recovery" fees, data plan "repuirements", and data caps, none of which are intended to buy YOU anything. They are assessed primarily to provide profits to them and dividends to their investors, along with a source of capital expenditure for their network expansion whose sole purpose is to attract more customers to provide more revenue streams to meet their aforementioned fiduciary duty to serve their executives and investors ever greater profits and dividends. And in this country, that is ALL this wireless game is about. EVERYTHING else, be it customer service, value of service, loyalty or anything else, is secondary.
And you think other carriers are any different? Nope. They all are in this for the exact same game, however they choose to play it, plan for plan, fee for fee. Sure, details differ, some plans might look more appealing and for some, prudent shopping around might even net some nominal cost savings, but all in all, they pretty much charge the same fees and require the same data plans, because that's where the big bucks are, and one way or another you will pay them or you will do without (which might be a blessing in disguise).
I personally don't like this any more than you do, and I would favor strong federal regulatory oversight much as they have in Europe Latin America and Asia, along with homogenized network infrastructure which stimulates competition by allowing easy interoperability of phones and devices irrespective of carrier, but I fear it will be a cold day in hell before we ever see the likes of that here. According Republican thinking, that's just not the "American Way."

Java.lang.NoSuchMethodError while invoking web service method

Hi, I have a web service which has two methods exposed as
A and B.
I deployed it on weblogic server (7.0 SP4) and fired teh request when I got this error:

I tried deploying the web service on another instance and there the method A was invoked but I got the same error when I tried invoking B.
I tried it on third instance and there both the methods were successfully invoked.
The methods A and B name start with capital letter (someone told me that method name should not start with capital letter but that does not hold good here)
Any idea why this starnge behavior of web service?

Cenvat credit on capital goods.

Dear all,
1. There is a rule that the cenvat credit in respect of capital goods shall be allowed for the whole amount of the duty paid on such capital goods in the same financial year if such capital goods are cleared from the factory as such in the same financial year.
2.The system is designed in such a way that the cenvat credit in respect of capital goods received in a factory or in the premises of the duty paid of output service at any point of time in a given financial year shall be taken only for an amount not exceeding fifty per cent. of the duty paid on such capital goods in the same financial year.
Please suggest us how to configure the system for the point no :1

It appears that when we send any attachments that contain a capital letter in the filename extension, and try previewing the attachment from within Outlook Web Access, the server returns an Internal Server Error 500 with the following response:

This happens on the network call for:

I have tried with varying attachment file names and it consistently only happens if there is a capital in the extension. For example:
.pdf - Works
.PDF - does not work
.Pdf - does not work
.pDf - does not work
It also seems to happen across document types, PDF, DOCX, XLSX, etc. So that doesn't seem to be dependent either.
Anyone run into this before or is there a KB article or a setting that I am missing somewhere that explains how to resolve this?Thanks!

By default, there are 8 bindings for DOCX. Do you see any other bindings available?

How do I format a document in Pages 5.2 so that each sentence automatically starts with capital letter?

If you installed the Devon Technologies (Freeware) WordService Service package, there is an item that will enable you to fix selected content to show initial capitals in sentences. You may need to enable this feature in the System Preferences > Keyboard > Shortcuts > Services selections. This only works in Pages v5.2 (and maybe later releases).
