Capitalization of AUC investment measure to asset

Hi,
I created a project and then settled corresponding WBS elements to AUC investment measure using CJ88.After that i am not able to capitalize to final asset.Please help me in procedure as I am not able to settle using normal line item settlement AUC as this is investment measure.

I am on 4.6C/D.
Please check on your settings for Capitalization of AUCs created through Investment Support Measures: -
1. Go to the IMG, Asset Accounting under Special Valuation and determine the Depreciation Areas you would like your Investment Support Measures to post to.
2. Still in Special Valuation, define an Investment Support Key and assign it to the relevant depreciation area
3. Also, define the relevant account determination for such posting under the Special Valuation
4. Proceed in the same area to define the Transaction type for the Investment Support Measure by changing any of the Standard ones in there in line with your requirements
5. Now move back to IMG, Asset Accounting then Master Data. Here you go to the screen layout and pick the relevant asset class for AUCs. Get this logical feild group and pick on the item Investment Support. Proceed to define its feild group rule as optional at the required asset maintenance level (Main Asset and/or Sub Level)
6. Leave the IMG and access the relevant AUC's Master Data from the User Menu. Click the tab Investment Support and insert the Investment Support Key you created in note 2 above
7. Now capitalise the AUC. Should work

Legacy AuC - Investment Measure

Dear Experts
One of our SAP client is getting merged into another SAP client effective 1st April 2011.
I'am not sure regarding the takeover of AuC which are not completely capitalised.
I've read several threads and it has been suggested to use TType 900 for prior year data in AS92.
I've tried that but system doesnt allow this Ttype in case of AuC created as Investment Measure under asset class 4001.
Error msg-
Trans. type 900 allowed only for assets u. const. Please correct.
Message no. AA967
Our Investment profile is created with 'Summary Settlement'.
Please suggest how to go ahead in such case.

Hi,
If you are sure that the AuC has to be linked ot and Invesmtnet measure, then create the Invetment order or the WBS, post the openning balance of the AuC by using a cost element crated for this exercise, maintain the allocation structure by defining that the settlement has to be executed with the primary cost element and settle the order.

Distribute AuC (Investment Measures) to a number of AuCs AIAB, ABUMN

Dear All,
maybe you can help me with this problem we have here:
Why isn't it possible to define an Asset Class (TCode OAOA ) as an Investment Measure ( ANKA-XINVM ) and line item settlement ( ANKA-XOPNVW ) at the same time (i know that a radio button allows only one of it).
So that you are able to distriubte/split defined Investment Measure AuCs to a number of AuC with the TCode AIAB (the usual way to distriubte normal AuC to a number of AuCs).
The TCode ABUMN isn't able to distribute/split one AuC (Investment Measure) to a number of AuCs.
Maybe some has a solution for me.

I have done your suggestions already. But my problem is, that I have an AuC (which is defined as an investment measure with an investment profile and the transaction type 348/349). On these AuC i have some values from an internal order (settled on the AuC with KO88).
Now I have to move the values from the AuC wich has the Asset Class 1520 (AuC as investment Measure) to a number of finished Assets (i.e. xxxx, yyyyyy) with the Asset Class 1161 Machinery.
And with the TCode ABUMN wich is mentioned in the SAP library for the investment measures you are only able to transfer one asset to another asset.

Order 23 is not a capital investment measure for Asset accounting(AUC)

Procedure
If you want to create assets under construction for the object, then enter an investment profile in the master data for the object.
Check if the the indicator "manage asset under construction" is set in the definition of the investment profile.

Is it possible to do write-up of depreciation for AUC(investment measure)

Dear All,
In one AUC asset posted some negative value, say -7000.00. After that posted 100000 through WBS internal AUC settlement. Posted the depreciation for one month. After that they have reversed this 100000 AUC settlement. For Book deprn it is 0% rate and for Tax deprn rate is 100%. So now Book deprn NBV is coming correct as -7000.00. For Tax deprn NBV is -21000.00.
Requirements,
1) I want to write-up the Tax deprn posted 21000.00 then
2) Is it possible to transfer negative value -7000.00 to new asset.
For 1) I have tried in ABZU with T.type 712 but it is showing error as "Asset is investment measure, transaction type not allowed".

Investment measure settlement doubles after investment profile change

We changed the indicator "Summary Settlement/Line Item Settlement" in Investment Profile (which was already used for Investment Measures) and "Amount and Percentage" indicator to allow the amount wise capitalization of AuC/Investment Measure on various fixed assets.
Now, while we try to settle the amount through CJ88, the system is settling the values that were already settled in previous periods. As a result the expenses become understated and Asset are over stated. How can we resolve this issue while we have already changed the Investment Profile as mentioned above.?

We are trying to settle March 2014 period therefore we can't carry out any new postings other than settlement.
For your reference, here is the Case:
EAC003 is an expense account and primary cost element
ABA001 is CWIP Account with Statistical Cost Element
The amount posted in March 2014 on account EAC003 is 323,813 which has value type 4 (Actual). When we run the settlement, the system settles the amount 3,053,065 (including 2,729,252 of value type 11: Statistical Actual)

Creation of Assets for Capital Investment Measure

Can some please tell me how to create an Asset for Capital Investment Measure.

Hi,
First you have to create master data using asset class AuC.
You have define asset class for Capital Investment Measure (AuC class) in t-code : OAOA. And still in the same t-code (OAOA), you choose "investment Measure" in box "Status of Auc".
If you choose "Investment Measure", the assets under construction in this asset class can be created solely in relation to capital investment measures (internal orders or WBS elements). So you cannot create and post in Asset Accounting directly (Example post using t-code : F-90).
If you use WBS Elements then you can post to the asset for Cap Invest Measure using t-code : CJ8G or CJ88.

Internal Order through Investment measure

Hi friends
I need help in the following issue:
I am creating Internal orders through Investment Measures.
When ever i create an internal order in the background it creates an AuC.
When I settle the IO the amount is posting to AuC.
After that I tried to Capitalize the AuC to main asset through AIBU transaction code, system throwing an error "Line item settlement is not possible for asset XXX XXXX".
Is this method of capitalizing right or any other method available to capitalize the AuC to Main Fixed Asset.
Please Advice me.

Capitalisation wouldn't be possible using AIBU in this case as your IO is an investement measure.
Options you've got to capitalise such AUC's is
1. Maintain the settlement rule on the IO with receiver as the final asset, set the status of the IO to TECO and then use T Code KO88 (Processing Type - Automatic) - Final Capitalisation
2. Maintain the settlement rule on the IO with receiver as the final asset and then use T Code KO88 (Processing Type - Partial Capitalisation) - Partial Capitalisation

Activation of Investment Measures

Dear All,
I have actvated Investment Measure for Asset Master Data thro' Screen Lay out rules.
I am testing Low Value Asset Transfer now.
1. Is there any impact of change the LVA screen layout?
2. Any impact of the existing LVA values after activating the Inv. measures?
Need valuable guidelines from the experts.

An Investment Measure is only working when you assign it to an asset. When not like LVA then notting happen. (field should not be requered)
Even when you fill in an Investment Measure notting is happen when you don,t post values on it.
When you search on this forum you will found more information. Take special attention about the transaction types that where created when you saved the Investment Measure.

Capitalization of Asset Under Conustruction(Investement Measure)

Hi Gurus.
I have created a Internal Order for AUC and posted expenses to that order. At the end of the period, i have settled the order using T.Code KO88.
How to capitalize part of the amount from that AUC to main asset. When i am trying to transfer to the amount using T.Code ABUMN, system is not allowing.
Please suggest me in this regard.

Hi,
Have you checked in the AUC asset class as Investment measures?
If it is Investment measures, you need to give second settlement rule for the same Internal order for transfering the value from AUC asset to main asset. Then do settlement again.

AUC from Investment measure can't settle to the completed asset partially.

I using IM module and AUC which made from Investment measure.
and I post cost to Investment order and settle to AUC periodically.
Some amount In nvestment order should be tranfer to the completed asset. so remained amount in that should be keep going on.
But, Investment order settlement rule only can be maintained by FULL settlement method.
It means, all amount that accumulated in Investment order must be settled.
What I want to do is the partial amount settle to the completed asset and remains left in investment order.
Of course, this investment order keep its function as collect the amount of AUC.
How can It be?

Use KOB5 - Give the settlement rule - mention the required amount and asset code
Use KO88 and settle the asset by selecting Settlement Type - Partial Settlement

Change of Cost Center in Asset Master for Investment measure (AuC) Assets.

Hi,
We have an asset class 4001 which has been maintained as an investment measure for AuC. I want to change cost center for all the assets that are maintained in the asset class 4001. The system is showing cost center field in display mode in change transaction of the asset AS02 for all the assets in the asset class. I want to replace the old cost center with new cost center in the asset master record. How can I make the cost center field changeable ?
Can anyone help me ?

Hi Kattula,
We can change the cost center for AUC with Investment Measure. To do this you need to identify the relevant WBS element assigned to your asset. You can find the WBSE in Origin tab of your asset master record.
Then go to the change WBS element Transaction CJ12 and change the cost center. Once you change the cost center of the WBSE, the change would automatically get reflected in the correspondind asset master record.
This would solve your issue.

1. What is the differance between AUC Assets & Investment Measure Assets? How to settle the Investment Measure AUC assets to main asset?
2. When i create the Internal Order, The system should automatically creates the Settlement rule for the AUC asset. I dont want to create settlement Rule Manually.
Kindly help me what should i do if the system wants to create the Settlement Rule Automatically? It would be a great help for me if you can provide some inputs..

Unable to capitalize the AUC from project to Fixed Asset

I created AUC automatically from WBS and i have settled that WBS with CJ88. But when i try to capitalize it to Fixed asset via AIBU, i am unable to do it. The system throws the error message as
Line item settlement is not possible for asset MY02 36 0

Diagnosis
You want to carry out line item settlement of an asset under construction. This transaction can only be carried out for assets with active line item management.
However, line item settlement is not active in the asset class of asset 36 0 (company code MY02).
If the asset is an asset under construction belonging to an investment measure, then you should carry out the settlement using order or project settlement.
Procedure
Check the setting for 'status of AuC' in the definition of the asset class.
Currently asset class settings was investment measure in "status of AUC". I choose this because i want to create a AUC automatically from WBS. If i choose line item settlement in asset class, then i can't assign that asset class to investment profile which inturn i am unable to create AUC automatically from WBS.
Please help me sort out this issue asap.

Dear Vetri,
The reason for this error is most of the time that the field ANLA-XOPVW for this asset is not flagged. Please check this in table ANLA.
OR
In T.code OAOA check your AuC Asset Class whether your asset class is selected Line Item Settlement. If you have selected Line Item settlement after creating an asset and posting has been alsready done for the asset it won't help you.
The Line Item Settlement indicator should be active when the Asset Master is created and the postings are made to it. If this is the case, reverse the postings made to this asset - Create a New AUC - Make the postings Again - Then try AIAB.

Error while creating PO for Asset is investment measure

I am getting error when I try to create PO for Asset which is investment measure.
Error is as below:-
Asset is investment measure, transaction type not allowed
Message no. AK005
Diagnosis
Asset 305000003 0 that is to be posted is an investment measure. You are not allowed to post transactions that affect acquisition value using the current transaction.
Procedure
Check the asset and transaction type 120.
I am using account assigment catergory 'A' in PO. I have checked Allowed transaction type for Acquisition and 120 is already allowed.
Please guide.

Try to create PO with account assignment category as P/N for project related ones.
If the related asset is related to Investment Measure we need to settle transactions to WBS element and from WBS element to AUC. We cannot directly post to AUC.
