CAPS LOCK lit, won't turn off

CAPS LOCK stays lit and won't turn off, keyboard caps remain on. I'm able to hold the SHIFT key and the computer will go into lower case. When typing a sentence with the CAPS LOCK lit, the computer CAPS LOCK light goes off and I'm able to type in lower case. The minute I stop typing, the CAPS LOCK lights and remains on.

Sometimes electrical components needs to have all power sources removed and reintroduced to work properly. Try performing a hard reset first, if it doesn't work then we'll move to the next step.
To Perform A Hard Reset
Shut down the computer by going to the Start menu and selecting shut down. (If you have no display, hold the power button down for 5 seconds); (if the computer doesn't power on, move to the next step)
Disconnect the AC Adapter from the notebook.
Remove the battery from the bottom of the notebook. There will be a switch/button to eject the battery.
Wait at least 1 minute with all power sources disconnected.
Re-insert the battery and reconnect the AC Adapter and then attempt to power on the notebook.

Well, I got my notebook from repair today, and looks fine, but... The Caps Lock LED won't turn off, no matter what I do. I'm still downloading ALL the drivers, so, if I need a special driver for turning on and off the leds os Caps Lock, tell me. And the LED of the Wireless key is working perfectly, white when turned on and red when turned off.
And I getting some issues with the TouchPad, because it don't turn off too! I'm hoping when I finish downloading all the drivers some problems will go away, but, if you can, may you help me with that issues ?

Apple Wireless Keyboard Caps Lock light doesn't turn off

Hello
Recently the caps lock button light doesn't turn off on my apple wireless keyboard. Anybody know how to turn it off. Every time i press a key, the light dims a little, but when not pressed, its fully on. I tried resetting it, taking the batteries off, unpairing it. But nothing =(

This doesn't turn off your light, but you should check out CapSee on Apple's downloads page. (www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/systemdiskutilities/capsee.html) It puts a notification pane (or bezel) on the screen letting you know when you turn caps lock on and off. Looks just like the volume and brightness bezels. Very slick, and it's free.

T5i locks up / won't turn off

This is a brand new T5i with 18-135mm STM I got yesterday and I've been having problems with the camera locking up intermittently, but consistently, with or without an SD card in it.
Example, with no SD card, I can turn it on in Photo mode, take a sample picture which it shows on the display, no problem, just says there's no SD card. Now, if I place it in video mode, I notice that the camera will not auto focus. When I try to turn it off, the display sticks for a while, the shutter won't close. Eventually sometimes it will close and the sensor cleaning message will stay on for a long time. I've also gotten a message several times that the lens wasn't attached, when it clearly was.
I've replaced the battery several times, reseated the lens, etc. Still having problems. Please help?? I'm sorely dissapointed!

I had the same issue and just contacted support. Were you able to get your camera back to working order? I bought my camera around the same time you made this post but wasn't using computerized lenses so I didn't notice. Not sure how long it's ben like that. I really hope this is a small issue.

Caps lock won't turn off

My updated 3G iPhone keyboard is slower and caps lock won't turn off after turning on with a double tap. If I switch to numerals or special characters when I go back to main keyboard caps lock is off. Anyone having the same issues or any solutions?

Please read teh directions for an SMC reset:
SMC RESET
Shut down the computer.
Unplug the computer's power cord and all peripherals.
Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
Release the power button.
Attach the computers power cable.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.
PRAM RESET
Shut down the computer.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys.

I understand that the Caps Lock key on your MacBook Air is staying lit as if the Caps Lock is engaged and you cannot turn it off. One article I would suggest taking a look at in this situation is attached below. If the information does not help you solve your issue, please let me know more about the situation. Are the letters you type in all caps all the time or can you adjust between upper and lower case using the Caps Lock key and the light just stays on?

Begin by resetting the SMC and PRAM each at least 2x. If that won't work book an appointment at your local Apple Store or AASP. However before doing so, after you have done the resets (assuming they do not work) test another keyboard to determine if it's the keyboard or computer.

It looks like this is a general problem after ICS upgrade for Sony Xperia phone.I didn't have this problem before even in worse firmware 6.1.1.B.1.10, but after using 6.1.1.B.1.54 two weeks, I have the problem now... I can connect to AP after boot.After use for a little time, the process "wpa_supplicant" start running, and never stop, just like the screenshot below (right-top corner). Umm...it won't turn off

I hope I'm not just being dense and missing something obvious, but my iPod simply won't turn off. It's not locked, and I've tried resetting it, but absolutely nothing happens. It will play music just fine, which would be lovely for walking to class if I didn't have to leave it on the charger all day for fear of the battery dying. Any help, or even a "Katelin you're so stupid, just do this" would be greatly appreciated.

settings>main menu>sleep
toggle sleep to "on"
"Sleep" will now show up on your main menu
scroll to "sleep"
hit center button
It should turn off now. If it's a brand new ipod, I would return it.

K7N2 Delta ILSR won't turn off, just restarts. Every time I click on "Turn off computer" in Windows XP, it shuts down, but restarts again. Could this be OS related, or perhaps Bios related. My other machine, almost identical to this one, except that the other machine has BIOS rev 7.6 and this one 7.2.

PSUs seem to be yr favorite subject, but I'm afraid this time it's software. I experimented some more as the problem only occured after installing the Nvidia drivers. Comparing the system settings in the device manager before installing drivers and after installing them, reveils that the problem shows up when AGP HOST TO PCI BRIDGE is installed. When killing this item the PC shuts off properly. Unfortunately when turning back on, Windows automatically reinstalls the PCI bridge and I have the problem again. LOOKS LIKE A MSI SOFTWARE PROBLEM !
By the way I have a PCI graphics board and not AGP in the failing PC (the good one has AGP graphics).

My iPod Classic 160 is in disc mode. I responds to nothing. iTunes doesn't recognize it. It doesn't sync. I've tried to restore and got error 1429. Now it just stays in disc mode and won't turn off. I'm keeping it connected to the charger so it doesn't go dead. Is there anything I can do to resurrect my pod?

To get out of disk mode do a iPod Hard Reset.
Toggle the Hold switch till you dont see the red mark.
Press Menu and Center buttons simultaneously for about 10 secs till the Apple logo comes ON then release the buttons
Select your preferred language.

Accidental damage is not covered under Apple warranty. And it seems there is much accidental damage. Only a Genius Bar tech looking at it can tell how much it will cost to repair.
Cost to repair will be high, I suspect (though Genius Bar will confirm/deny.
There is no gentle way to say this sir/ma'am ... someone will need to pay for your friend's MBA repairs.
