  • Satellite A300 - multimedia LED buttons don't work if iTunes is minimized

    Hi,
    I own Satellite A300-1C9 (PSAJ4E).
Is it possible to let the "Play/Pause", "RW" and "FF" multimedia LED buttons work even if iTunes is minimized?
Because atm they only work if i actually working in iTunes and from the moment i minimize iTunes to taskbar it stop responding to play/pause etc!!
    Thanks,
    Jonah

    Hello Jonah
I don't use iTunes and cannot comment buttons functionality with iTunes but what I know is that Toshiba don't offer notebooks with preinstalled iTunes and these buttons are, by default, designed to run with Windows Media Player.
You can use these buttons with other players, if possible but Toshiba don't support functionality with any other third part application. For instance, I use these buttons with Winamp and everything works perfectly.

  • Led flash problem - Led flash don't work

Hi, i'm an italian guy. I've a problem at the flash of my iphone 4. When I register the movie with flash on, The LED flash does not fire. I've send twice my iphone 4 to Apple in Holland, but they don't see the problem. How can i solve this problem?
Thanks and sorry for my english.

Thanks.  Can you please provide us with a copy of your systems dxdiag report (see the steps listed here: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/video-playback-issues.html#main_For_Windows_users), the output from the page "about:support" in Firefox, details on your virus scanner used, and some specific steps to reproduce the crash?
If you can give us a few recent entries in on the page "about:crashes" that might also be helpful.
    Thanks,

  • Please help my led indicator isnt working?

hi i literally got my blackberry on friday and now my led light has stopped working all together.... doesnt flash green red blue with bluetooth. iv checked all the settings and they all say its on. i have downloaded things like ringtones and color id where the led indicator was flashing lots of colors and i dont know whether theyve done something to it? my lights defo working as when i switch it off it goes red.
    please help x

I'm not that familiar with the color id app but I would be willing to bet it might be causing the problem.  Try deleting it and see if the led starts working again.
Also, what kind of device do you have?

sorry for this huge post - but i think that's all needed.... so does anybody have a clue?
    thanks and bye

Thanks Bob for that very fast reply!
But neither "Modifying hal configuration" nor "Using the Desktop Environment settings" (xfce) worked. So I tried the "I don't want this crap, how do I turn it off?" solution and well it works
Maybe I turn it back on in a month or so.. but for now i'm fine with no hot plugging but a working keyboard...
    Thanks and Bye!

  • Satellite A500-14k - HDD LED indicator always blinking

    Hi
First sorry for my bad english
    I'm french and i recently bought a Toshiba Satellite A500-14k ( http://fr.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/product/Satellite-A500-14K/1072806 )
I've got a little problem with this notebook and i don't know if someone has a solution
The LED indicator of the HDD is constantly flashing (1 blink per second) even in safe mode. I checked some forums and i have learned that there was something to do with the cd /dvd autorun function of the CD/DVD recorder.
If the autorun function is deactivate in windows registry (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servi ces\CDRom and key value changed from 1 to 0) the blinking disappears but i can't access any of my CD or DVD data ( the media are marked as blank). However, audio CD and video DVD are working except that they can't be started automatically.
The same thing happens if the CD/DVD recorder is deactivated in the device manager of the control panel : the led indicator has a normal activity.
I would like if this problem occurs with other owners of this product and if there is a solution to use normally the recorder without this flash
    Thanks

I don't have A500 but A300 and I cannot say for sure why this happen and what kind of HDD activity is in progress but what you can try is to remove some Toshiba preinstalled stuff like TEMPRO or preinstalled antivir application.
When the notebook is brand new first days many updates will be installed and in the background is always some activity. Is automatic update disabled?
Try also to remove TEMPRO. This tool is permanent active and search for updates.
Try simply to optimize preinstalled OS and watch carefully if something will change. I do it always after clean OS installation.

  • Chromium doesn't start and suspend, shutdown don't work occassionally

    Hello,
I have this problem on my laptop but since chromium doesn't start on my desktop either, I don't think it's specific to laptops.
When I try to start chromium in a terminal, I get a blank window (I can tell because I use spectrwm):
ATTENTION: default value of option force_s3tc_enable overridden by environment.
[25148:25148:0215/130205:ERROR:background_mode_manager_aura.cc(14)] Not implemented reached in virtual void BackgroundModeManager::EnableLaunchOnStartup(bool)
I temporarily resorted to using Firefox instead, but at times it just freezes up while opening some pages. After that point, even killing firefox doesn't help: the system load level keeps on rising. I used pidof to check if firefox is still running, but I had no output from pidof. After having firefox to freeze, shutdown, suspend, etc don't work. The laptop goes to a black screen state, but the power LED remains on indefinitely.
These might be two separate issues, but they started together on my laptop.
    Thanks in advance!

    It started happening after upgrade:
    [2015-02-15 09:43] [ALPM] upgraded chromium (40.0.2214.94-1 -> 40.0.2214.111-1)
I was wondering if it has anything to do with some X-related upgrades:
    [2015-02-15 09:42] [ALPM] upgraded xorg-server-common (1.16.3-2 -> 1.16.4-1)
    [2015-02-15 09:43] [ALPM] upgraded xorg-server (1.16.3-2 -> 1.16.4-1)
    [2015-02-15 09:48] [ALPM] upgraded xorg-server-devel (1.16.3-2 -> 1.16.4-1)
    [2015-02-15 09:45] [ALPM] upgraded nvidia (346.35-5 -> 346.35-6)
I tried to downgrade chromimu to 40.0.2214.94-1 and it didn't help. I tried to downgrade nvidia, xorg-server and xorg-server-devel to previous versions, when everything worked and X chouldn't start.
Other observations are that if I start chromium, the ps command hangs and I have to reboot the system to be able to use ps command again.

  • Some keys on keyboard don't work

I got a used MacBook air on eBay and I noticed the some keys on the keyboard don't work as intended.
For example, the '1' key does not work at all, the 'p' key would increase the volume, the 'delete' key would enable capslock.
I've tried to do a clean install of Mac OS X but it would still do the same thing.
    Is my logic board broken?
What else can I try to make sure that the keyboard is the problem and not the software?

    Hello:
    Try resetting the PRAM.
By the way, what tests are you referring to?

  • Keyboard (hardware & onscreen) suddenly don't work anymore - only factory reset helps

I have my Passport for about a month now and just experienced the following problem for the second time: all of sudden the keyboard (both hardware and onscreen) don't work anymore. I cannot enter my device password anymore, I can focus the password dialog, but then simply nothing happens when I press keys.
After a restart of the Passport it asks me for my SIM card PIN. Again, I can focus the text field in the dialog, and I can touch numbers of the onscreen keyboard, and the number keys light up, but no input gets to the dialog.
There is simply no way to activate the device anymore. I can do a backup using BlackBerry Link, and I can access the device with BlackBerry Blend - but the device itself is useless. No kind of restart or reset helps. The only solution is to do a factory reset, after that the device works fine again - for some time.
Once this happened while I was on the road, without doing anything with the device. The second time it happened when I was trying to deploy a self written app using the Momentics IDE.
    Additional information:
    - development mode is on (needed since I want to develop Apps for BB10)
    - Snap is installed
    - a handful of Android apps from Google Play store are installed
    - two BlackBerry World apps are installed (whatsapp and HUB++LED)
Did anyone experienced similar issues or has an idea what might cause this problem?
    Thanks!

Have you tried using a usb keyboard/mouse?
I don't use any usb, only use PS2. Maybe it is possible to use some sort of a PS2 to usb converter, but I would rather like the PS2 to work.

  • Mail's sounds don't work after the computer has awakened

This has been reported before for previous versions of OS X but, alas, it seems that the problem prevails in 10.9 as well. If the computer goes to sleep and then awakenes, Mail's sounds don't work. You have to quit and restart Mail. Any ideas how this can be fixed?

If you lose sounds for keyboard clicks, games or other apps, email notifications and other notifications, system sounds may have been muted.
System sounds can be muted and controlled two different ways. The screen lock rotation can be controlled in the same manner as well.
Settings>General>Use Side Switch to: Mute System sounds. If this option is selected, the switch on the side of the iPad above the volume rocker will mute system sounds.
If you choose Lock Screen Rotation, then the switch locks the screen. If the screen is locked, you will see a lock icon in the upper right corner next to the battery indicator gauge.
If you have the side switch set to lock screen rotation then the system sound control is in the task bar. Double tap the home button and in the task bar at the bottom, swipe all the way to the right. The speaker icon is all the way to the left. Tap on it and system sounds will return.
If you have the side switch set to mute system sounds, then the screen lock rotation can be accessed via the task bar in the same manner as described above.
This support article from Apple explains how the side switch works.

Also look at Settings>General>Sounds and make sure that all sounds have been turned on. And Settings>Notifications - check the settings in there for FaceTime and iMessage.

  • X-refs and index markers in absolute paths don't work

A problem has arisen that did not exist before:
If I have added files to a book using an absolute path, all X-refs and index markers in those files then don't work. The index *generates* without trouble, but if I then try to Alt-click an item in the index that refers back to a file with an absolute path I get the error "Cannot find the file named X. Make sure the file exists." This also means, of course, that the corresponding hyperlinks in a generated PDF file also don't work.
X-refs and index markers in files added using *relative* paths work okay.
    What is wrong?
    (I use FM9 / Windows 7.)
    Regards,
    Knut Högvall

    Hi Michael,
    Yes, I use 9.0p255.
No, the files don't have to be on different volumes. They can even be in the same folder (not that they are, but they *could* be; they are in fact in separate folders, but on the same volume). What matters is how I select the file in the File dialog box when I add the file to the book. To get an absolute link, I first click the Network button, select the top volume, and then navigate down to the file. The absolute path is displayed in the book window as \\<volume>\folder\file.fm" while a relative path is indicated by "..\..\file.fm".
If I add a file using an absolute path it doesn't work; if I add the exact same file using a relative path, it works.
How do I check the hypertext content in the index?
    Regards,
    - Knut

  • Why does Teamspeex don't work anymore and how can I fix it?

    Hi
At my university we use a Teamspeak2 Server for our online lectures. Last friday i tried to attend one of those lectures. I can still connect properly and see all participants but the is no sound at all. I can't hear anyone talking and the microphone don;t work. I checked the settings and it seems the client can not detect any of the devices (speaker nor microphone). But I am not sure if this is the only problem, because i don't even see the visuals indicating if someone speaaks.
I've a Mac Book Pro  2011 and I got it when it was out. Till the end of last semester it worked without any problems using Teamspeex Beta 4.06. I've updated to 408 but still the same problem. The only new is a MacOs upgrade to Mountain Lion.
Can I fix this somehow or do I need to install a bootcamp?

Have you ever done a bump charge??? If not, to do a bump charge, wait until the indicator is green, then power down the device. the indicator will change back to orange.... Let it charge until the indicator is green again. If you have never done this, you may need to do so three days straight or so.

  • Read per axis status / run-stop don't work at low speed

    Hello,
This is my fisrt motion program. I don't understand why the "read per axis status" don't send me the correct status for "run/stop" (only this status) when I run a low speed. The other status are all right. Impultions are still generated (In realyty motor run...)
I put a simple example to illustrate. Perhaps is it a wrong configuration in MAX but this seems unlikely. I can't join my Max config because ".nce" are not accepted in attached files.
    Thank you wery much

I realize this is an old post but wanted to post the solution in case others run across it.  The reason the indicator is not working at low speeds is because it operates on a threshold.  The default setting is for it to display false when running under 4000 steps or counts per second.  Refer to KnowledgeBase 4XHD6DZY: Why does my Run/Stop bit not appear active while my motor is running?

  • Lenovo Energy Management broken under Windows 8 - Shortcuts don't work

I've noticed that the Energy Management tool does not work properly under Windows 8 on a U300S.
Especially stuff like the keyboard shortcuts don't work:
Pressing F7 to toggle the wireless and bluetooth settings doesn't bring up the usual onscreen-menu like it does in Windows 7
The buttons to toggle the display brightness bring up the Windows 8 style brightness indicator but doesn't work.

    Anyone?
