Captialized material to be tracked back as inventory

Scenario:-The scenario is of telecom client where handset is given to client as Part of his procuring a connection from my client.
So the moment the connection is activacted the handset is capitalised.
But later on when customer gets its connection disconnected than he rturn the handset as its my clients asset.( by this time as the phoen is now no longer an inventory as its an asset.( in my client all the connection sold for a month is made one asset for the month)
Now how to handle the retunrprocess  of t handset from customer who is rturning the handset( which is already cpatiased)
so that my invnetory moving avergae price also should no get impacted .
These materials are required to be tracked in inventory as thiese handset will be again given to new customer who procures the connection from my client.
.Regards
Amit

Hi Amit,
I think that you can assign a headset to a Material Type which handles Quantity and not price (Example: Material Type: UNBW) I have done this for an Oil company to keep track of valuable assets!.
This will force you to assign an "Account assignment" when you procure it (Asset), it will enter in the stock, but it will not be valuated when you move it.
Once you have it on you stock you can sent that stock to consignment (And assign it to a Client) so you will be able to know in which customers you have your headsets and the quantity.
When you write off the asset (For whichever reason) you can consume the material with 201 or any other movement (As it does not handle value no accounting will take place)
You can combine this with Serial Number o Batch managemente if you want to keep track with precision which headeset is at client house!.
Kind regards,
Federico

  • Packing Material returned back to inventory

    Hi,
Our client uses standard costing for all materials. We have a scenario where material is packed in drums. The drums are then returned back into inventory as the material is despatched to the customer packed in a different form. A drum rate per pound of production is loaded into the standard cost of the packed material. The problem now is that the inventory of the used drum is in a balance sheet account while the credit for drum cost on production goes to the P&L account. Is there some method by which only that portion of the drum cost on production can be credited to a reserve account?
I was thinking i could apply an overhead rate on the packed material and credit it to an internal order and end of month settle to a balance sheet account. But overhead cannot be provided on output, rather it is based on input. is there some way by which I could use template allocation to credit an order andd debit the production order? Or is there some other better method?
    Thanks,
    Shivram

    Hi
I myself never used it, but I know it can be used to allocate OH based on Output....
refer this thread for more details... Re: Activity Type Planning on the basis of  Raw materials
Moreover, I would prefer to use a work around as below, which I used in a similar scenario
    1. Convert the Drums into Fixed Asset... The FA recon account can be "Inventory of Drums".. Dont club this account under FA in your Financial St Version in FI
    2. Assign a Manual Dep Key in this asset masters... i.e. You can manually post the Depreciation of these assets as per your choice
    3. Post this entire dep into one cost center... Later on allocate it to the Prod orders or absorb it as an overhead using costing sheet
To make it more simpler, assign an activity type "PRDQTY" in your Routing.... This PRDQTY will record your Prod Qty....
The Activity Qty of this PRDQTY will be equal to your Base Qty of the routing.... So, whatever output you confirm on the Prod order in CO11N, the same amount of Act Qty will also get confirmed
Then calculate the Act Price for this act type which will be Depreciation amount for wear n tear / Prod Qty.... THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANT!!

  • HT201272 how do i access the cloud i have downloaded some tracks on some albums but they dont play so i deleted them  i went to download them again but they are album only tracks so itunes store wont let me how can i get my tracks back? please help

how do i get tracks back that i deleted that are album only tracks, i downloaded it and it would not play now i cant re download it please help

About a minute and a half into some tracks it skips to the next. Not on all the tracks but on most of them.
Try again, just redownloading the tracks which are skipping. (The servers for the Store seem to have been a bit extra-cranky with this over the past day or so in particular ... some folks have had to try redownloading again a couple of times.)

  • While creating a project in Garage Band my sample tracks were cut short then overwritten in soundtrack pro. Any ideas why? and how to get my tracks back?

While creating a project in Garage Band 09 my sample tracks were being cut short- I then discovered they had been overwritten in soundtrack pro.
Any ideas why? and how to get my tracks back?
I never opened soundtrack pro to edit the track just Garage band....the track just mysteriously saved as half the track.
I am running Lion and I upgraded my Garage band to '11 hoping it would resolve the issue...it didn't. Now I can't find that tracks at all.
The 2 songs having the issue are titled Exotic Yearning and Reunion.
I am in the process of reinstalling the audio content from my discs. I just don't want to run into this again.
Any thoughts and help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks!

After spending some time reinstalling the soundtrack pro 3 content I opened the full track called Reunion.
It showed back up in Garage Band.*It was the full track and wasn't chopped off until I dragged it onto the project. Then it showed up chopped.
Then I closed Garaged band and opened soundtrack pro 3....The song was again chopped off at the 1:33min mark
    Very Frusterated...:(

  • Changing 2 Mono Tracks back to 1 Stereo Track on timeline, or source monitor?

I was working in Premiere Pro CS 5.5 and I switched Audio on a clip to 2 Mono Tracks instead of its original 1 stereo track. I brought it in the Source Monitor and then on the timeline.
I then realized later on that I wanted to switch the audio back to 1 Stereo Track instead of the 2 Mono tracks.
I could not figure out a way to do this.
Is it possile to do this? If so. how?
    Thanks in advance?

Joe has given you a good answer, but exactly why do you want to switch the two mono Tracks back to Stereo?
If one is not doing certain things, then they will be Mixed-down to stereo on Export. However, certain editin operations WILL be easier with both back in stereo, if you are doing those.
    Good luck,

  • I've imported some midi tracks, used the mixer to set pan, volume etc, but when I stop playback and restart it sets every midi track back to '0'. I've been using LE for years, this is a new one, any ideas?

I've imported some midi tracks, used the mixer to set pan, volume etc, but when I stop playback and restart it sets every midi track back to '0'. I've been using LE for years, this is a new one, any ideas?

    Hi,
that's because Logic reads the volume information out of the imported MIDI tracks and sets the volume fader according to this information. The MIDI information overrides volume settings you have done, so you have to identify the MIDI events that contain volume (or expression or pan or whatever) information and delete them. You can use the event list editor for this.

  • Safari Suddenly Unable to Track Back

Sorry for my obvious lack of articulation around this subject, but I'm a pretty low-level user (mac, that is!!).
I've been checking out cds at my local library for ages. The process is pretty simple. You to their catalog screen, set it up for "cd on order" search and it takes you to a screen where you can flip through a lot of pages of new cds on order. Once you find one you want, you simply click on "place a hold" and it takes you to the next page which is a "submission" form. Then you enter your info, it takes you to a "location" screen (where you want the cd to go for pick-up). After the process is through, you simply hit "back" "back" and "back" and your back on the catalog page where you started.
The problem is that suddenly Safari can't track back to the catalog page and, in fact, is not even making a record of it in the history (which is probably the crux of the problem). Instead, it takes you back to the library homepage, where you again have to go through the process of selecting "cd on order" and then paging through until you get to the cd you just ordered and can then continue on in the process. A hassle, to say the least (there are often 65+ pages of cds on order at any given time). Since I've used Firefox to do this same procedure and it works just fine (always returning to the catalog page), I'm guessing that this is a Safari-specific issue. It all started with the OS upgrade.
My short-term fix is to just tab the new hold page and go through the process, then tab back to the catalog, which works fine, really. But I'd sure like to know why Safari suddenly can't track back to a page it has visited.
Sorry, long and not concise, I know, but I hope it leads to a fix at some point.

It's fine now. Originally, he went on Safari and clicked on one of his most visited sites and was unable to scroll. Then he went to Google and was able to get to the keyboard to do a search (I guess he couldn't do that with the scrolling issue). He also tried Yahoo and did a search for a news site he couldn't get to previously, went to the site and now everything is fine. For someone with PTSD (not me) this is like a life or death situation. For me, it's something I try to look into for resolve ASAP!!!

  • How can I play several music tracks back to back on an opening slide?

I want to place several music tracks back to back on an opening slide to entertain the audience prior to my start.  On Power Point it’s easy but I have found it impossible in Keynote. Using the building inspector and setting stop/start cues just doesn't work, the music stops after build out of track 1. How to do I make the other tracks follow automatically?

There are a couple of ways to do this:
    A. Using the Build Inspector (advantage: easy to do - disadvantage: takes a bit of set up & no fade-ins/fade-outs)
    1. Place each of your audio files on the slide, select them all and in Build Inspector set all to "Start Audio"
    2. Then open the Options Drawer in Build Inspector and select "Start Build Automatically"
    3. Select the first audio file in the Build Inspector (I find this easier than guessing which icon is which), note that the audio file icon highlights, then go to Quicktime Inspector and note the duration of the file in seconds.
    4. Return to the Build Inspector and select the second file, note that the icon is highlighted, then in the Options Drawer of the build inspector enter then number of seconds of the first files duration into the Delay box for the second file.
    5. Repeat, rinse lather and repeat again for each audio file.
By doing the above you avoid having the files all start almost simultaneously and they will play in sequence. Be sure to listen for dead spaces before presenting to your audience and adjust delay times where needed.
NOTE: The maximum delay allowed is 60.0 seconds - if you have audio files longer than this you will need to either break the files into <60 seconds each or use B. below:
    B. Use iMovie to create an audio track of all audio files. (Advantage: allows audio fades and overlaps, less math - disadvantage: takes time to put together and you need iMovie, too)
    1. Create a single audio file as a .mov in iMovie and export it on to your slide.
    2. Set the Start Movie in Build inspector and go.
    Hope this helps.

  • Tracking assets in inventory (MMBE)

    Hi folks,
Is there some way to simultaneously track a material in inventory (via its serial number) and as a fixed asset for accounting purposes?
    The scenario is the following:
    1) create purchase orders for materials
    2) perform goods receipts in plant/storage location A (serial number recorded for each material)
    3) as required by the business,  transfer materials to plant/storage location B  (serial number recorded for each material)
    4) At any point in time we must be able to know the quantity and serial numbers of all materials in plant/storage location A, and the quantity and serial numbers of all materials in plant/storage location B
    5) At month end these materials should all be treated as fixed assets and have their depreciation calculated and posted
    Thanks,
    Sebastian

    Hi dear,
You first 4 requirements can be met by one of the following methods.
    1) Create spearate material type for the asset materials. So that by number range itself u will be able to identify the Assets in vrious plants along with quantity and value.
    2) You can make use of material group field in the material master.Maintain the materail group as fixed asset for those material.U can create copy of std report MB52 and bring the material group field in that report thus u will come to know the stock and value of the asset in several plants and at different storage location.
    3) You can make use as split valuation.Materials can be matained as an asset material or non asset material.Again in MB52 or MMBE u will get the details.

  • Material blocked due to a physical inventory

    Hello,
    I have an issue.
    I have done a stock take via MI01, MI21, MI04 and finally MI20!
When I afterwards create a delivery with one of that part that was counted it gives me an error message saying:
M7100 - Material xxx blocked due to a physical inventory
When I look into the inventory document it says: Counted, adjusted.
While debugging I found out that the process somewhere checks MARD-SPERR which is X for that part and therefore outputs messsage M7100!   But X only indicates that posting block was set while physical inventory was done!
Does someone have an idea? Is there maybe a report to verify and correct inventory status?
Hope someone can help, cause I've counted a hundreds of parts which are now blocked.
    Thanks for your reply.
    Wolfgang

    Hello Wolfgang,
If you enter the differences for your physical inventory documents against those materials, then the posting block check shall automatically go off and you can do the material movements.
First, you need to check whether you posted the differences for the respective physical inventory document.
If not you need to post the difference first as it may lead to data inconsistencies.
To remove the posting block go to MI02, enter the physical inventory document number and year, now go to Header and untick the posting block check box.
    Posting block indicator
The indicator remains in the physical document header even if the stock is unblocked through the posting of inventory differences. It then only indicates that a posting block was set for the documents.
The blocking indicator can be set in one of two ways:
Directly upon entry of the physical inventory document (if the count is to take place immediately)
Shortly before the count (if the count is to take place later)
You can set the indicator by choosing Physical inventory document -> Change in the header data of the physical inventory document or via batch input.
Now you can create delivery for the materials.

  • Audio tracks back up?

As I'm starting to explore GB;any negatives to store audio tracks to a DVD;since there's a lot more space?
Just for a true back -up copy
    any caveats?

do you put it in a burn folder?
i've never actually used OS X's built in disc burning options (i use Toast), but that sounds about right (check FInder's Help for more info)
    wagnerministries wrote:
how do you number/save tracks etc.?
i wouldn't try to store individual tracks, that would be a nightmare to put back together. i burn the entire project file.  since that contains all my recordings, it's easy to get back both the project, or an individual track, if needed for some reason

  • My hard drive crashed, but I've got Match. How can I get all 12,000  tracks back?

I decided to go totally digital at New Year's and bought an external hard drive for my laptop and copied 400+ CDs to it. I also moved over my existing iTunes library and purchases to this external drive. I then subscribed to iTunes Match and sent all 12,000+ tracks to the cloud/Match and so I had my iPhone and iPad running my entire library, in addition to my laptop with external drive, which was great. For a few months.
Then the other week, my external hard drive just totally crapped out. I had a technician look at it and he says it's toast.
When I get a new external hard drive, what's the easiest way to get all my music from the cloud/Match (sorry if I'm getting the lingo wrong) synched to this new hard drive? I've been searching for the answer to this forever with no joy.

FAQ:  Why iTunes Match can NOT be used as a backup!
The best way to get your music back is to restore it from the local backup you kept before the external HDD crashed. You might also find this Apple KB article helpful: Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store.
Alternatly, multiple tracks can be downloaded from iTM by highlighting the ones you want to download, right-clicking and selecting "download."
