Captivate 3 does not detect the micro

I have a lot of problems, using captivate 3 on my vista
installation. actually, the program does not detect the microphone.
i am using this micro in other applications without any problems. i
read this problem also exist in older versions of captivate. i am
using realtech audio hardware. i found a patch for captivate 2 that
does not work on captivate 3, but i found no pathch for captivate
3.

It should be logical to assume that any patch that corrected
issues with version 2 would be automatically incorporated in
Captivate 3.
To my knowledge, your situation is one I've not seen or heard
of in Captivate 3. So I suspect possibly a mix of hardware that we
haven't seen before.
I would highly suggest you report this to Adobe as a
potential bug. Please provide them as much detail as you can. You
do this using the Wish Form.

Laptop does not detect the new HDD
Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen Gameday! I need help.
On my laptop broke down the hard drive. According to reports, a lot of bad sectors, SMART. Decided to put a new HDD. Laptop does not see the new hard drive. In the BOOT MENU new hard drive is not detected.
Old hard drive while still runs in the BOOT menu displays all 3 sections. On the new disk interface is similar to the interface connection on the old disk.
laptop model: 15-e 051 sr.
OS: Win 8
manufacturer of the old hard drive : Hitachi
new hard drive: seagate.
New hard drive on another system checked for operability.
Also, the laptop refused to work with other hard drives: Samsung, Hitachi.

First I would like to let you know that the broken English is not a problem. I understand that Google translation can be a a little rough in the translations. We will work together and I am sure we will do fine!
I grasp that you are trying to replace the hard drive but it is not being recognized in the bios.
Here is a link to the HP Pavilion 15 Notebook PC Maintenance and Service Guide. please note page 57 for a list of supported hard drives. It will also provide information on removal and replacement of the hard drive.
You could also try this.
Once you have the hard installed and connected and you are at the bios screen, you will notice an option to restore defaults along the bottom. ( I believe it is F5) . This will cause it to scan for the hardware and hopefully find your new hard drive.

I recently installed mpd with the gmpc gui, set my "music_directory" in /etc/mpd.conf to the location of all of my music (which contains lots of other folders and subfolders), but there's no listing of the audio files in the database in gmpc.
Here's the /etc/mpd.conf if that helps:

*sigh* i answer this for the 3rd time in a row... this is no error it just says that binding to your ipv6 interface happened before the binding to ipv4.
If you want to use your ipv4 interface hardcode it in mpd.conf
bind_to_address "127.0.0.1"
you can also have several binds:
bind_to_address "127.0.0.1"
bind_to_address "192.168.1.13"
to make it listen on localhost and the external IP of your network card.
If your music is on the same machine as your mpd i recommend to use a unix socket in addition.
bind_to_address "/path/to/some/file/that/does/not/exist/yet"
and make your client connect to that file instead of the IP. Speeds things up a log e.g. in ncmpcpp
and btw: you can save your mpd.conf file as ~/.mpdconf and mpd will automatically use it.

In Mavericks OS X iMovie does not detect the camera
Hi,
Yesterday I had OS 10.8.7 and then I upgraded to OS Mavericks, and now when I try to import videos from my camcorder (new camcorder just purchased 4 weeks ago) iMovie does not seem to detect it.
But iPhoto does detect it.
The camera is Sony Handycam HDR-cx220
Is there some setting that I need to set? Or am I screwed?

Can you see the files on your camera in the Finder rather than from iMovie (either directly connected camera or via a memory card)?
If yes your camera is acting as a separate volume and you can copy your clips onto your mac with the Finder then import the files into iMovie. If the format is AVCHD there are some special considerations to take into account. -
Mac OS X 10.9.3 does not detect the presence of Canon MX395 printer. Help?

My printer/scanner was working fine before I upgraded to Mac OS X Mavericks. I now run OS X 10.9.3, the printer is Canon MX395.
Basically mr problem is that the printer is simply not detected. I turn it on and plug in the USB cable but nothing happens. I cannot view the printer in the list of printers in System Preferences > Printers & Scanners, nor can view it if I click Add. I have already spent 2 sessions of 3-4 hours following all steps provided in Apple Support pages about setting up printers and troubleshooting with printers (including reset printing system and deleting all canon related files/applications and installing everything again, meaning both drivers from canon and canon drivers from Apple) and I am sure that the printer is working and well connected.

Update on my situation, my problem is solved.
I disinstalled and reinstalled many times everything to come to the conclusion that, in my case, installing the driver from Canon PROHIBITS the printer/scanner from working. Indeed, everything is now running fine with Apple driver for Canon printers (Apple Canon Printer Driver 3.0 for mac OS). BUT, if Canon driver is at the same time installed, computer is not being recognized. Having solely Canon driver without Apple driver also results in the printer not being recognized.
This may sound weird (at least to me) but that is how it seems to be. Hope this can help anyone.
Final solution:
1) disinstall everything printer related (printers, drivers, reset printing system)
> In my case, I did not reinstall Mavericks nor reset the whole OS
2) install the Apple driver (and ignore the one from Canon)
3) connect the printer, turn it on, should be working

Software Update does not detect the upgrade of Boot Camp to 3.1 for Windows
I want to install Windows 7 HP 64 bit. I invoked Software Update so Boot Camp Assistant could be upgraded to ver. 3.1 that has Win 7 support. It said my system is up to date. I have Snow Leopard 10.6.2, but I still have BC 3.06, not the new 3.1.
When I went to Apple support site to download the new version in 64 bit, the download turned out to be a Windows executable file. I cannot install that in the MacOS. How do I get the necessary upgrade to 3.1 so I can use Boot Camp to dual boot. I have to install XP first so I can use my Windows 7 upgrade DVD.

Second, I read in the Boot Camp guide that unless I have an earlier version of Windows already dual booting with OSX, that I should only install Win7 using the full retail DVD rather than the upgrade. I have an unused copy of XP and I already have the upgrade Win7 package, so I thought I would do a quick basic install of XP and then do a custom install of Win7.
Will Boot Camp react badly if I try to use the upgrade Win7 as you suggested, doing a custom install without entering the product key and then immediately reinstalling the upgrade over itself a second time?

MacBook Pro RAM can't be removed and does not detect the other RAM?
I tried to push the clips on the side and they won't come out. There's two RAMs in there. Both 1 GB. The computer detects only one of them. I believe I have placed both of them properly. It says it have 1 GB. It should be 2 GB. It also says that BANK 1/DIMM0 is empty. How do I fix both of this problems?
If I have to take it to the apple store, how much do you think it will cost?If the clips won't push out easily then rather than force anything I think you should take it to an Apple Store or dealer and have them take a look at it, probably won't cost much at all but that's better than you busting something ...

Itunes 11.1.4.62 does not detect existing iphone or ipad
Just downloaded the above, and now on plugging in either my existing iphone or my Ipad via wired USB connection, itunes does not detect the device. Running windows 8.1, Tried updated iphone software to match as well, still no detection. Am I missing something on the new version in set up or something, or is it an uninstall and reload?

Photoshop CS5 64-bit does not detect Video Card
I just updated from CS4 to CS5. I have a core i7 with an ATI HD 5700 series graphics card with the most recent driver 10.9. Photoshop is also updated to 12.0.1. For some reason, only the 64-bit version does not detect the graphics card. Photoshop CS4 64-bit and Photoshop CS5 32-bit see the graphics card fine. I noticed a few others have had the same issues. Has this problem been addressed yet? If not, is there a workaround?
