Captivate 3 not listing app I want to record

I'm testing Captivate 3. I'm trying to record an activity in
my company's application. I select Record new project, then select
Software simulation, Application. Then I get a dialog box that asks
me to specify the application I want to record, but it lists all
open applications except for my company's app! Any ideas why it
doesn't recognize my open app?

Thanks for the advice. I tried that and it worked pretty
well, but in trying that out I figured out what caused the problem.
All of my open apps in a maximized state occupying the entire
desktop, except for my company's app which I had resized to the
size I wanted to capture. Once I maximized the company app,
Captivate 3 listed it in the dialog box menu dropdown. Then, once
I'd selected it, I could resize the app window to the desired size
before starting the recording...

Captivate 7 not showing the red frame when recording a slide

I've been using the "Record Additional Slides" button since Captivate 5, and never run into this problem: the red frame that lets you define what you want to capture is not displaying. When I try to record, Captivate captures a portion of the software window, and the desktop. How can I force the red frame to display?

*** By the way, it is happening when I run Captivate from my Apple computer. I just tested running Captitvate on my parallels machine, and the frame does show up.

Just to clarify, the problem (no red frame while recording slides) happens only on the Apple version of Captivate. It runs fine on my parallel machine, however I am running a trial version there. My license is for the Apple platform. I'm concerned because my trial period will expire soon. the weird thing is that the Captivate that I have in my machine at home does not present this behavior. Only the one in my work machine.
The project resolution is 930px x 697px
This is the 14th module that I am developing for a training suite.I have never encountered this problem before. It all started after the Maverick's fiasco
So do you think I should uninstall Captivate and start a brand new install? I tried changing the name of the folder but that didn't help much.

Finder Does NOT List Files on FireWire Volume

I have a 80GB LaCie FireWire drive but haven't used if for about a year.
I just plugged it into my Mac and the Finder lists NO files on this volume. "Get Info" says there 67.8 of files on the volume. Disk Utility says the same as well as indicating that there are 12 folders and 49 files. Terminal shows this:

So, this seems rather inconsistent to me. "Get Info" says there is more data on the disk than Terminal. Disk utility says there are more folders and files than Terminal.
When I used Disk Utility to "Verify Disk" everything looks okay:
Verify and Repair volume “Scratch”
Checking Journaled HFS Plus volume.
Checking Extents Overflow file.
Checking Catalog file.
Checking multi-linked files.
Checking Catalog hierarchy.
Checking Extended Attributes file.
Checking volume bitmap.
Checking volume information.
The volume Scratch appears to be OK.
I swear that I left an iMovie project on this disk. How can I get Finder to show it to me?
Can anyone explain the apparent inconsistencies between Finder/Terminal/"Get Info"?

I'm not sure what you believe to be inconsistent here. some of the items listed are directories and their contents are not listed. if you want to list it all enter

Audigy 4 / Line-In not listed as sour

Hello, I have installed a new Audigy 4 sound card into my computer yesterday. And since then I have been trying to figure out why the Line-In is not listed as a source to record from.
It is listed under volume control, but nowhere in my computer, in the supplied software, or in my recording software will it let me select the Line-In.
It gives me the options of using:
MIDI Synth
S/PDIF-In
"What U Hear"
Analog Mix (Line/CD/Aux/TAD/PC)
Microphone
Wave
But seems to completely ignore that there is a Line-In source by itself.
I can hear the Line-In perfectly when something is plugged into it, and it records fine with "What U Hear" or Analog mix, but those settings are not usefull to me because I need to be able to record just the isolated Line-In source without recording any sounds that are already playing.
Anybody have a solution?

On the Audigy family there is no line-in. To use the line-in, you need to set your recording source to be "Analogue mix" and tick the option "Record without monitoring" in the recording source's advanced properties.

I want to transfer a movie I have downloaded from itunes to my new IPAD. I have been on the itunes help menu, it tells me to look under 'devices' tab for IPAD. BUT there is no 'devices' tab and it does not list my new IPAD. Help!

I want to transfer a movie I have bought in itunes to my new IPAD. I have been trying to work how to do this for 3 days now. I have accessed all the itunes help and forums and wiki online. They all tell me to go to the DEVICES tab on itunes and select IPAD then sync. YUP seem simple, BUT there is not DEVICES tab listed on my itunes and it does not list IPAD. Years ago I set up my IPOD no problem and that is listed, but not the new IPAD. Can anyone help? I would love to be able to actually watch films on my IPAD!! thanks

If you have iTunes 11 on your computer then you can enable the left-hand sidebar on it via option-command-S on a Mac, control-S on a PC - when connected (and if your computer's iTunes is up-to-date) your iPad should then appear on that sidebar under a 'Devices' heading :
If you select the iPad on that sidebar you can then use the Movies tab on the right-hand side of the iTunes screen to select and sync that film to your iPad's Videos app.

Provider Hosted App not listed in the App Part or Web Part

What I have done:
                I have created developer site collection
in office 365
                I have created a provider app in visual
studio, modified appmanifest.xml with the client id, client issue (from developer site) and provided targeted domain
                I have deployed web application from the
visual studio into Azure it can be accessible default page
I have published App project into Azure
What I tried:
                I have confiured app catalog in the SP 2013
office 365 developer site Central Admin where I can register my apps
                I have registered my appfile in the catalog
site collection
                I have created another site collection with
team site template and added the app there
                I created a web part page and wanted to
insert this app as a web pat in the page it is not appearing/coming in the app part to insert
What I wanted now:
                I wanted to insert this app in the site
web part page of any SharePoint 2013 site collection
                        App
part listed in the Site Content but it is not listed in the web part page " Web part or App Part" containers to insert...
Am I missing something? any one encountered same issue? Any help appreciated.

Hi Madhu,
Once you deploy your App, The App will get deployed to the App web rather host web. That is reason you will not be able to find the app either in App part or webpart section of host web.

App. automatically launches, but not listed in accounts/startup items

I have a pesky application which automatically launches on start-up, yet it's not listed in accounts/startup items. It's called Microtek scanner finder. I seem to remember it started doing it when I originally got the scanner and installed software, and although it's always niggled I didn't mind when I was using the scanner. However, I'm not using the scanner anymore so want to be rid of it in my dock. Where the heck is it coming from? I don't want to chuck all the software as there may be an occasion where I need to scan a transparency, when I'll need to get the old scanner down from the loft... any ideas? It definitely launches as there is a little black triangle beneath the icon in the dock. If I quit it, it disappears but is back there again on another start-up grrrrr.

Hi, Kathykate. I have a similar Epson Scanner Monitor application that starts up each time I restart my computer. (Mine does appear in Sys Prefs > Accounts > my account > Startup Items, so I could delete it from there if I wanted to.) It runs all the time in the background, using a tiny amount of CPU and memory, and it has no user interface at all: If I quit it, nothing visibly changes, and if I open it again, there's no visible sign that it's open (including no icon in the dock for it). Its only function is to detect my Epson Scanner when I plug it in and turn it on. I ignore it the rest of the time, because whether it's running or not has no impact whatsoever on anything I do. I suggest that you take the same attitude toward your Microtek app.

TS1702 I upgraded my iPad 2 to ios6 & now certain apps (YouTube ) are gone & are not listed in the App Store. Another app (ny1 news) no longer works! Again it's not listed in the App Store. How do you correct this problem?

I found the following in the Macbook Help, and the last bullet worked for me.
"You can uninstall apps you got from the Mac App Store, from other websites, or from discs. You can’t uninstall apps that are part of OS X, such as Safari and Mail.
Apps downloaded from the Mac App Store: Click the Launchpad icon in the Dock, hold down an app’s icon until all the icons begin to jiggle, then click an app’s delete button . If you later want the app, you can reinstall it from the Mac App Store.If an icon doesn’t have a delete button, it can’t be uninstalled in Launchpad. For more information about Launchpad, see Use Launchpad to view and open apps.
Apps that have an uninstaller: In the Finder sidebar, click Applications. If an app is inside a folder, it might have an Uninstaller. Open the app’s folder. If you see Uninstall [App] or [App] Uninstaller, double-click it and follow the onscreen instructions.
Apps that don’t have an uninstaller: In the Finder sidebar, click Applications. Drag the app from the Applications folder to the Trash (located at the end of the Dock), then choose Finder > Empty Trash.If you change your mind, before emptying the Trash, select the app in the Trash, then choose File > Put Back.WARNING: When you empty the Trash, the app is permanently removed from your Mac. Lightroom not listed in CC App

I have just upgraded from PhotoshopCS6 Creative Cloud membership to full Creative Cloud. I want to download Lightroom but it is not listed on the Creative Cloud App. I logged into my account on Adobe and Lightroom is listed in available Apps, but when I click on download the CC App pops up, with no Lightroom listed. Please help.

The iPhone remembers information about previous contacts.
Complelely independently, you have a Contacts app with a contacts list. It sounds like your contacts list has 3 names on it. You need to add a few names.
