Captivate 3 - Please help me get my video to play!

I've recorded a video using my camcorder, and converted it to .AVI. I tried to upload it to Captivate, but it didn't work. After extensive google searches, I found this. http://iconlogic.blogs.com/weblog/2008/01/adobe-captiva-1.html Great blog by the way!
When I try to upload the .AVI video, as an animation Captivate gives me an error message that says "The AVI file cannot be converted...." I also tried to upload a .SWF version, but it gives me the same error message. Based on the suggestions from the article above, I imported my .AVI file to Flash Encoder and converted it to a .FLV file. I tried to insert the .FLV file to Captivate using the Progressive Download Video type. I see a gray box appears, but the video doesn't play in Preview mode. I'm really at a lost here. I don't know what else to do.
Can someone please help me?

Please Help! getting miniDV video from camera to FCP

Hello everyone,
I am new here and would greatly appreaciate any advice or help anyone can offer.
So I have Final Cut Pro v.6 and a brand new Mac Book. I am wanting to make "How to" videos for work with my sony miniDV camera and edit the footage in Final Cut Pro.
Does anyone know the correct hook up for transfering the miniDV video from the camera and into FCP?
Obviously I am an amateur beginner and if anyone could help out with the answer or maybe know some other place I can research for the answer?

Hi Tony and welcome here,
Your camera may be connected to you MB through Firewire (4 to 6 pins).
Once that's done open FCP and use the very good manual coming with it.
Main menu>help.
Then type in the search are *Easy Setup*. Here you will learn a quick way to setup your project.

Did you add or change your credit card details on your iTunes account when downloading them ? If you have then each time that you do so a small temporary store holding charge may be applied to check that the card details are correct and valid and that it's registered to exactly the same name and address as on your iTunes account - it should disappear off your account within a few days or so.

Same problem here since latest update. As usual poor support from Apple with no answer or fix for this bug.

You have Distiller (used by the PDF Printer) or the Acrobat Quick Launcher running in the background. Shut down the processes or terminate them in task manager.

You can download an already compiled version with this link: iWeb Switch Domain.
Just launch the application, find and select the domain file in your Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder that you want to open and it will open with iWeb. It modifies the iWeb preference file each time it's launched so one can switch between domain files.
WARNING: iWeb Switch Domain will overwrite an existing Domain.sites2 file if you select to create a new domain in the same folder. So rename your domain files once they've been created to something other than the default name.
Since iWeb has discontinued by Apple the new systems don't handle the iWeb preference pane as it was in earlier. The script corrects that situation and once you open the domain file the first time you can just use iWeb to open it from there on. However, you'll need it if you plan on using more than one domain file. And adhear to the warning above.

You don't need any software to run the router at all. Connect with your wired computer to 192.168.1.1 username blank, password admin and configure your router manually like everyone else.

Hi. I am one of the very unhappy people who can't use the iPad for recording since getting ios7. The apple forum is replete with stories like mine: ios6 recording was quiet - ios7 is noisy. I have tried every suggestion. Why won't anybody at apple tell us what the problem is? I have been using macs since 1986. All I want to do is record my songs on my iPad. Unfortunately for me, I recently brought my iPad-mini refurbished so there is no warranty. If I had bought it new I would be at the Genius Bar until I got the problem fixed. Did I mention how unhappy I am? Here are the specs: 1st gen iPad mini running ios7. Recording onto Multitrack DAW with a Samson Go mic to a 30-pin USB camera adapter, into an apple brand lightening adapter into iPad mini. Everything works fine except for the HISS.

I got mine (2 weeks ago) 64GB WiFi+3G (Verizon) from the apple store online
I didnt have to do anything to it, turned it on, activated it, got it on my home network then I signed up for the 3G data service, it works where ever I happen to be. (if there is an unknown WiFi connection available it asks me if I want to join before it continues to connect to the 3G when I am surfing or getting e-mail)
do you have an Apple Store close enough to travel to?
I am only assuming here, but since you have a SIM you are not in the US correct?
