Captivate 4 and SCORM 1.2
I recently downloaded the eLearning Suite that includes Captivate 4. I entered the SCORM settings for my files as I have for Captivate 3, except I did find a post on removing the checkmark for full screen and completed that task. My issue; the same files that worked in the LMS that were created in Captivate 3, no longer work having opened and published the files with Captivate 4. I have searched and search, and yes, my searching skills may be in question, but I can not find instructions, directions, or a post on SCORM 1.2 settings and required changes or additions for Captivate 4 files.
Is there such a list or similar instruction available?
Where can I find a full explanation of the fields on the Project: Publish Settings window.
Thanks,
Denise
Okay, one more time, including images. I hope I have this right.
I have launched numerous Captivate 3, SCORM 1.2, courses / quizzes in our LMS, but cannot seem to get a Captivate 4, SCORM 1.2 quiz to launch in the LMS. Don’t know what I’m missing. Below are my settings.
1.)Preferences> Project: Publish Settings
What are the correct settings if you are working with SCORM? Default is shown below, but I have no idea how this relates to SCORM (as the ActionScript version is displayed when publishing), if at all.
2.) Below is my Quiz: Reporting settings including the Manifest settings. We always set the Mastery score in the LMS.
3.) Quiz: settings
4.) Quiz: Pass or Fail settings
5.) And finally, the publishing settings:
Are you able to see what I may be doing wrong?

Best Practises ►Repurposing videos with Captivate and export as SCORM
I'm new to Captivate and SCORM. I have a series of 6 basic video Lessons (MP4s) which make-up one Course. Lerners must complete (pass a summary quiz) each lesson before they can move on to the next. We want to repurpose these files to create a more immersive UX. I'm looking for a "best practices" suggestion for this work.
Currently the plan looks like this:
Re-edit existing videos into sets of smaller clips.
Create Captivate project/s using the edited clips and adding other Captivate tools/features e.g. navigation, quizzes etc.
The Captivate project/s will be exported/saved as SCORM package/s.
We will up-load the SCORM package/s to Moodle.
I'm very new to this, I've not yet created a SCORM-based Moodle project, and am not clear on how they "work," but that's for the Moodle forums.
Should I create one large "Course" with Captivate that contains all of the content from all 6 MP4s? This will require us to rely on Captivate's functions to control access to each lesson. Each lesson has a summary quiz; learners must pass each quiz before they can move to the next lesson. This one SCORM package is than imported into one Moodle course.
Should I create six smaller "Lessons" with Captivate that contain only the content from one MP4? This will require us to rely on Captivate's functions to control progress through only one lesson. The summary quiz will be 'administered' by Captivate/SCORM. When the learner passes the summary quiz the lesson is complete. We will rely on Moodle's access control functionality to then provide access to the next SCORM package.
If anyone has experience with this sort of project, or can offer some advise I would appreciate it.
Thanks
LarryWhile I cannot claim enough expertise to state these are best practices, I offer them as food for thought as you work out your implementation. We use Moodle and Captivate in combination. We do kindergarten to grade 12 curriculum and we realized that there is a huge number of lessons that can be repurposed for multiple grade levels and we also have more than one copy of many of our courses.
What we decided to do was to use what would be equivalent to a repository for the lessons portions. These have interactives in them for practice of the new concept but they are not scored. Our many courses that use a particular lesson can then link to the one instance of the lesson from the repository. This saves us a lot of disk space, development time in new course builds, and if we need to fix or update the lesson we merely have to do it once. Those are huge benefits.
Anything that will score to the grade book runs inside a course so the SCORMs can 'talk' to the course the student is in, so homework, quizzes, and tests are housed inside Moodle courses.
We can place links to the repository lessons easily into the SCORM final landing pages of after the pretest or provide the ability to link to the lesson as feedback if a student is having trouble with a particular question.
We are also starting a project of building interactive walkthroughs for each problem that will be housed in the reporitory. If students get stuck, they can be linked out to the walk through. This is a great way to do these because their homework will not have to be weighted down with a walk through for every problem. That will make them faster to load, but yet when they do need a walk through we can link them out from the SCORM to the deep and interactive added support for just what they need.
So far, this setup has worked well for us. We are not expecting any major changes such as a new domain name on the repository. If your repository domain name or server structure for your repository is likley to be in flux, then this setup is not ideal. -
Still struggling with Captivate 6, Oracle LMS and SCORM 2004
Still can't get this course tracking with scores. Herewith the screen shot. Does anyone know if the settings I have chosen for the quiz are correct. When I load the published course into the lms and test it, it shows "not attempted" prior to opening it and it gives the final score on the last quiz slide. There is a slide after the last quiz slide. It still seems not to transfer the scores to the lms. I recently found out that we have Scorm 2004 version 4, so I changed the configuration setting as it was defaulted to version 3, but that still hasn't helped with the scores. Under the start and end settings, I have chosen close project for the end. I have been through a week of torture with this course! Please can anyone assist as I'm not sure what to do anymore!
Oh no. Now I'm panicking! I will try it. Thanks

This sounds like you have some major issue in this course project file.
Breaking it up into smaller files might not fix your issue.
I suggest you create a new blank CPTX project file, add one true/false quiz question, set it to report to LMS with the settings you have above, publish as a single SCO package zip file, and upload to both your LMS and SCORM cloud.
If this file doesn't even work, your installation of Captivate would have to be suspect and nothing you do in course module is going to fix that until you work out what the problem is. If this very simple single-SCO lesson plays OK and reports successfully to the LMS, then we need to figure out what is lacking in your current file.
It could be that your current file has somehow become corrupted. See the suggestions here for how to debug general corruption issues:

New development in Flash Captivate and Content Management
My compay currently uses Serena Collage for Content
Management along with Macromedia Studio MX 2004 for web site
development. We have an upcoming e-learning project that we are
considering developing in Captivate and Flash. We are mandated that
all development be Section 508 compliant and e-learning must be
SCORM compliant as well.
Can I continue to use Collage to manage content developed
from Captivate and Flash or will I have to use a different product?
According to documentation Captivate SCORM and 508 compliant and is
Flash 508 compliant is this correct?
Please advise.I am not familiar with Collage or its requirements, but Flash
MX 2004 is 508 compliant, I have had to make partial and full
compliant courses with it. That being said, it took us a decent
amount of time and effort. -
Why does captivate 5 scorm 2004 change the pass/fail status when using complete/incomplete
SUMMARY: I am trying to use SCORM 2004 reporting but I am finding out ADOBE does not diffentiate between COMPLETE/INCOMPLETED and PASSED/FAILED variables in the SCORM 2004.
RESULT: I can not accurately get the passing/failing status from the course.
QUESTION: Is their anything I can do or does ADOBE have a patch they have release which will accurately report the passed/failed STATUS as well as the completed/incompleted status.
OTHER RESEARCH: I even attempted to post these "proofs" on scorm.com and they have something called "SATISFACTION TRACKED" to accomodate content creation systems (CAPTIVATE 5) which does not follow the standards of SCORM 2004.
BACKGROUND: the report status "Incomplete/Complete" and "Pass/Fail" under the publishing options for SCORM 2004 essentially mean the same thing when the CAPTIVATE COURSE sends setvar commands to the SCORM API... In other words the SCORM API receives the same exact commands when publishing in both modes. "THIS IS WRONG"
why is the wrong? IF REPORTING; incomplete/complete ; the CAPTIVATE 5 COURSE SHOULD NOT "change" the STATUS OF PASS/FAIL when attempting to report COMPLETE/INCOMLETE with 100% slide views.
DEMO #3> SHOWS THE PROBLEM
About DEMO #1 and DEMO #2> these are other reporting options I attempted with other problems arrising..so these images are just for supporting my original problem which is shown in DEMO #3...
DEMO 1 (REPORT STATUS has no affect on reporting):SETTINGS:
PASS: (PROBLEM)
Anything above Passing Score is not recorded to LMS (once passing is reached...no more bookmarks are recorded)
FAIL: (CORRECT)
Failure gets sent to the database on the last screen with "completed"
DEMO 2 (Report status [Complete/Incomplete Pass/Fail] has no impact on commands sent to scorm api):
SETTINGS:
PASS: (CORRECT)
Very Last page gets sent to the Database
FAIL: (PROBLEM)
NOTHING GETS SENT TO DATABASE (stuck in final score screen forever)...because it says "INCOMPLETE"
DEMO 3:
Report status [Complete/Incomplete Pass/Fail] has no impact on commands sent to scorm api
SETTINGS:
PASS: (CORRECT)
Very Last page gets sent to the Database with a 90% passing with "completed"
FAIL: (PROBLEM)
LAST SLIDE SENDS "completed" but GETS SENT AS A PASSING SCORE??? even when it is a failure
(IN OTHER WORDS ADOBE CHANGES THE PASS/FAIL STATUS based on slide views...
this is WRONG ....REALLY WRONG becuase I am trying to report
"COMPLETE/INCOMPLETE" for 100% slide views
PASS/FAIL OPTIONS:
OPTION I CAN PURSUE?
SO WHAT CAN I DO? YES, I CAN TELL THE LMS...to COMPARE THE SCORE RECEIVED DURING A "COMPLETE" status...and then change the grade in the LMS based on the SCORE IN THE LMS...BUT THAT WOULD MEAN THE LMS COULD REPORT ONE GRADE and the COURSE COULD REPORT A DIFFERENT GRADE....and that would not be good.
ALL OF OUR COURSES SHOW THE STUDENT THE FINAL SCORE WITHIN EACH COURSE..
QUESTION TO ADOBE?
SO ADOBE when are you going to differentiate these two reporting options so that the PASS/FAIL OPTIONS ARE ACCURATELY REPORTED WHEN USING COMPLETE/INCOMPLETE?
MORE INFORMATION
HERE IS THE SCORM.COM "Satisfaction" adjustment (very last line) to accomodate inconsistent reporting in CAPTIVATE 5.

CAPTIVATE SCORM SUCCESS_STATUS COMPLETE STATUS SHOULD BE INDEPENDENT
CAPTIvATE 5 cmi.completion_status
and cmi.success_status does not work independently with scorm 2004. they both share the same definition. These two field were designed to help differentiate the difference between a passing or failing score and when the course is actually completed. WITH CAPTIVATE 5 they do not differentiate the two. COMPLETE means PASS and INCOMPLETE means fail..
I was trying to use "completion_status" as a way to determine when all slides were shown. So that I can send the final score (PASS/FAIL) the LMS after all slides were viewed and this was the absoluted score the student recieved.

CAPTIVATE SCORM SUCCESS_STATUS COMPLETE STATUS MEANS THE SAME THING
CAPTIVATE SCORM SUCCESS_STATUS COMPLETE STATUS SHOULD BE INDEPENDENTHi,
Here's something I found in a similar situation... hope this helps!
After publishing your CP5 project as a SCORM 2004 zip file, unzip the file so you can get into the separate files. Open the imsmanifest.xml file with a text editor; I like using Notepad++. Search for the line starting with <imsss:minNormalizedMeasure>. The complete line will probably look like <imss:minNormalizedMeasure></imss:minNormalizedMeasure>, this is the line that is supposed to contain your passing score (at least for our LMS). So, if your passing score is supposed to be 80%, edit this line to be: <imsss:minNormalizedMeasure>0.80</imsss:minNormalizedMeasure> and save the file. Then select all the files and re-zip them, I use 7-zip for that.
I found one other weird thing that doesn't happen 100% of the time, so test it. In the example above, try to get a score of exactly 80% (or whatever passing grade you are using) and see if you get the correct status reported. I found I sometimes have to re-edit that line in the manifest file to be 0.79 so it correctly includes an exact 80% score. No idea why and you have to watch the number of questions in your quiz to make sure that works for you mathematically.
If this works or not, I'd recommend posting your results so others can get some ideas. Good Luck!! -
I am using Captivate 2.0 and trying to make a SCORM content
that will report user interaction in the new Fronter 7.1
(www.fronter.com). I use the reload SCORM 1.2 player for complaince
check, since I do not have one for SCORM 2004 (
http://www.reload.ac.uk/scormplayer.html)
I have created a test cp file with just one question and 7
slides. I pack the output in .zip with SCORM 1.2.
When loading into the reload player I get the error message
Problem validating manifest
(file:C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/Martin/reload/reload-scorm-player/server/webapps/reloa d-scorm-player/course-packages/22/imsmanifest.xml:

not allowed to appear in element 'lom'.
I can see the .xml manifest from Captivate and line 12. The
manifest is posted at the bottom of this page.
Now when I use the LMS system fronter 71, which has SCORM
2004 and SCORM 1.2 support, the whole package loads and reports
pass/fail but not the user interactions. Fronter 71 has support for
this, and I would like to know what I have done wrong. I tried both
SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004.
Here comes the manifest for scorm 1.2 and then afterwards for
scorm 2004

Please help -
I'm using adobe Captivate 5.5
I have a button that opens a PDF that crashes the course when in an LMS (I've tried moodle and scorm cloud). When I play the course in my browser, the file opens fine and the course continues. Does anyone know why opening this file doesn't work when I upload the SCORM package to an LMS?
Thanks,
ChrisHi aperio_chris,
Thank you for contacting adobe support.
Please use the following steps and let us know if that helps:
1. In the publish setting>>externalize resources>>check all the check box which are for attachment, widget, animation etc.
2. Check the flash player version change it to version 9 or 10 when publishing the output through Adobe Captivate.
Thanks and Regards

Captivate 5/SCORM 1.2: Won't read percentage score right?
I am using Captivate 5.5 to publish a 21-SCO course (18 reading slides and 3 quizzes). I have used SCORM 1.2 (in order to eventually use Moodle) and have chosen Complete/Incomplete, Report as Percent and Slide Views Only (for the learning slides with no interactions) and Quiz Score Only (for the three quizzes). I am using the Captivate 4 SCORM Packager.
Here's my problem: I can't get it to read the percentage complete as the score. I am using SCORM Cloud for the test server, BTW.
When I test the full, 21-SCO course, it reads the first SCO fine and reports back 4.76% complete (100/21). But after that, it completes the other SCOs fine, but the scoring does not change.
Following the advice of some others in these forums, I made a test with some buttons to give the non-scoring, read-only SCO's point value. (1 point for each button). Then, the percentage scoring seems to read the percentage of only the slides accessed. So, for example, when it completes Slide 1 and moves to Slide 2, the percentage score reads 50 percent complete. But when it completes Slide 2 and moves to 3, it reads 66.7 percent complete.
Buttons are not a good solution for me anyway. The client wants the SCOs to flow one into another seamlessly, with no forced interactions.
All I want this to do is step percentage complete correctly for each slide.
Anyone have any suggestions?OK. That makes a bit more sense.
The scoring that you speak of is really controlled in the LMS, not inside the Captivate modules. All they do is report out to the LMS at the end of the module what the completion percentage or Pass/Fail score was for THAT PARTICULAR module, not for the entire course. Each SCO is really a separate standalone object that just reports its own result. It's up to the LMS to roll up the results for the overally course.
Each LMS is different and has different capabilities. So to have any chance of getting the result you want, you'll have to wait until you can work with the LMS that will eventually be used to deliver the content and then play around with the settings to see if it will allow some kind of cumulative scoring. -
Difference between captivate and presenter
HI, what's the difference between Adobe captivate and
presenter. Do they both do the same? Which one is better for use in
creating online training modules? It took me a while to "get it" too. Yoiu can take a look at
Adobe's spin on things from the blog site maintained by Silke
Fleicher from Adobe at:
Sike Fleicher
Blog
But the real truth of this is that they are quite different:
-Captivate Excels at computer software simulations, software
demos and software learning simulations (where the user gets to try
a simulation test.)
-Captivate is a stand-alone application and not an add-in to
powerpoint
-Captivate does let you import PowerPoint slides
-Captivate creates a stand-alone CP file to store your setups
and then you publish to Flash, Word, Acrobat
-Captivate does not produce a side-panel to show progress,
but it does provide a wide range of progress bars and related
forward and back button options and positions
-Presenter is an add-in to PowerPoint
-Presenter has an optional navigation panel to show progress,
but it has limited forward and back navigation button options.
-Presenter is more like PowerPoint, but you gain Quiz sets or
single Quiz options and the ability to integrate and embed Flash
content such as Captivate SWF files as a slide set. For example you
can have a PowerPointesque look with a navigation pane on the left
or right and then present the user with a video or software
simulation on another slide and then Quiz the user about the
materials or demo.
I would consider Presenter to be about as hard as learning
how to use PowerPoint, but all of the options are now on one menu.
I would consider Captivate to be about as hard as learning to
use Excel, where the basics are easy, but there are many options.
For Software demos and simulations, Captivate is the better
choice.
For Quiz-Enabled PowerPoint, Presenter 7 is the better choice
For e-learning of Software, you can use juset Captivate, but
both products make a good team
Finally, while Adobe charges a bit too much $$$$ for each,
the cost is recouped with the time you save on a large project. If
the products were 1/2 of the list price, they would probably sell
10X the number of copies and create some real BUZZ about these
products for the group of people that are not e-learning
professionals (a huge group).
The final piece is a system that integrates the Quiz results
for user login and score tracking. Known as a Learning Management
System (LMS). Both Presenter 7 and Captivate export to Adobe's
Connect system in Connect format and they also publish to SCORM or
AICC formats used by other systems. However, the cost of the
Connect system for LMS (not the live presentation piece, just the
e-learning piece) is well beyond reach for a small company (about
3X the price of other products). The 40% annual maintenance fee
charges, limited feature set and slow to fix it support make
Connect about a grade "C" compared to the competition. Adobe can do
far better to make Connect the LMS tool that it could be in terms
of features, price and bug repairs. So if you need a LMS to go with
this, then you should certainly look at Connect and price it (it is
nice), but look at what you could get elsewhere for both features
and support at a given price point.

Adobe E-Learning Suite CS4 w/
Captivate 4
Flash CS4
etc...
I'm pretty sure everyone looking at that subject is sighing and rolling the eyes. lol.
In any event I really need some help, as soon as possible.
Let's go with that I have NO experience with SCORM compliance or LMS.
I had created a Software Simulation CBT, basically used for employees to learn how to use an application that my client uses.
I had originally done this all in one, and it ended up being around 150 slided.
The opening slide has a 16 second Flash produce introduction with 16 second audio.
Only other audio is produced from clicking the "Next" button
Only other Flash is from FMR demonstrating the software (very minimal)
It seemed that publishing such a large file produced very inconsistant files - sometimes very buggy in sections - back button not working properly, getting stuck on quiz slides, etc.
So I broke up the large file in 8 separate files. Intro, Modules 1 - 6, Conclusion.
Now... Here comes my next problem. I set up all the SCORM/Quiz reporting. Each of the modules has a quiz associated with it for reporting. Intro and Conclusion have reporting on the last "NEXT" button.
What I am asked from our client, is that the employee will log onto the LMS - click on the Course Name - and it will launch the intro. Now to the user, the rest of the course should be seamless. It's for the most part (except for one section in Module 1) completely linear. When the user gets to the last slide of the Intro section, when they click next it should go to the first slide of Module 1. It should have the built in TOC that I built in the flash files. I did all the SCORM 2004 reporting options, manifest file, etc. I used the SCORM Packager provided (the aggregator) and sucessfully created a .ZIP to upload to the LMS.
I downloaded Moodle, full package, to use as a sandbox LMS on my local system.
When I upload the .zip file produced from the SCORM packager, and run it in the LMS the TOC does not show all of the modules.
Also, when I get to the last slide of Intro and click "NEXT" it just goes to a blank screen.
How do I make this a seamless transaction with proper LMS reporting - which is NOT pass/fail it's just completion.
Anybody still reading yet??
Please let me know if you need anymore information, it's very vital that I get this figured out by this weekend as our client is requesting a final product by Monday/Tuesday. I really really appreciate any help that can be provided, thank you all very much in advance.
I fear I may be in over my head here... which is not an option.Imagine that a SCORM course is a book. This book has separate chapters - each chapter is a SCO. If you have a SCORM course that consists of 7 SCO's you would still only have one course in the LMS. Depending on how the SCORM communication is set up YOU define how the course should work.
Example of a SCORM manifest (NOT correct - only an example)
Title: Course title
SCO1: Chapter 1 - Introduction - introduction.html (the HTML files which has the apiwrapper and loads your swf)
SCO2: Chapter title - resource link
SCO3: Chapter title - resource link
Okay, so I guess my question is this then. Is it MY responsibility as the programmer to link the SCOs together within Captivate? or is that done within the SCORM manifest? Or does the LMS handle this?
I would say that it is your responsibility. The programmer / developer would need to put in the SCORM calls in the chapters/SCO's for it to work. This cannot be done afterwards.
In other words, lol, does the next button on the last slide of each module have to "Open File/URL" or can it simply say "Continue" as it does now and the LMS, via the manifest, will know to open the next module and start that slide annnnd will it report as one final score?? That's the other thing, I would like it to report one score for the overall course (it's actually not a score, it's just a complete/incomplete)
No you would need to do two things at the end of each module.
1 - Set the particular module as "Completed" in the LMS by using a SCORM command
2 - Close the particular module in the LMS by using a SCORM command.
Once these two are done then the LMS will unload the current module and automatically fetch the next module in the SCORM manifest and run that.
If you are only interested in reporting complete/incomplete then this is enough. Just call the SCORM commands to set each module as completed and then the SCORM command to unload the module. Once they go through the last module all is completed and the course is "passed".
As for the TOC I am a bit confused.
Do you have a TOC for each of the modules created in Captivate? If so then this will work just fine in an LMS.
If you have a TOC using the Aggregator then you would of course need to use Captivate to make the SCORM package. Another option could be to check if the LMS has a "TOC" of it's own. Many LMS' build their own TOC based on the SCORM imsmanifest.
One suggestion I have for you.. Make a testfile for your client. This file should basically be what you tried to upload to Moodle first. Completely done in Captivate and Aggregator. Then ask them to load this in their LMS and see if they encounter any problems first. As I said Moodle isn't the best choice for troubleshooting LMS / SCORM issues ;o) Perhaps everything works perfectly well in their corporate LMS.

Hi - I'm wondering if someone has done this or can recommend the best way to do this.
We have a PPT/Presenter file that was created using PPT 2010 and Presenter 9. We recorded audio for the training right in Presenter and have also imported videos into the file using Presenter.
We need to output the file to DVD to actually play on a DVD player. We know we can do that with Captivate (we are using Captivate 5) and are wondering if there is a way to take our file (the package so to speak) and get that to open in Captivate and retain all of the pieces that we have added to it (audio, video, hyperlinks).
Or, alternatively, if there is a way to publish our Presenter file to DVD format, that would work for us too.
Thank you for any information or suggestions!
EmilyHi Emily,
Presenter contents and captivate contents are different. but you can achieve it using the following steps in presenter.
1. Open you presentation.
2. GO to Adobe Presenter>>Publish .Publish dialog will open.
3. Check the CD package checkbox and publish the content.
4. Now Goto the publish folder and burn the content on DVD.
After successfull Burn, You can play on DVD player.
I hope this will work for you. Kindly let me know if you are facing any problem.
Thanks,
Sunil

Captivate and LMS JavaScript Problem
We use Captivate and a Plateau LMS. We had an issue with
bookmarking within our course. The first lesson worked just fine,
but later lessons were not bookmarking. We added javascript alerts
to the code to see when the Captivate content was setting LMS
variables.
We feared the issue was the bandwidth between the client and
the LMS was so limited that the script attempting to set the LMS
variables was failing, but this is not the case. The script appears
to not run at all sometimes at random intervals. When it does run
it is successful each time. The first lesson, which works reliably,
is much smaller than the other lessons, maybe the size of the SWF
factors into the ability for the script to run properly?
Has anyone else run across this issue? Does anyone have
advice in deeper troubleshooting an issue like this?
Any input is appreciated.
Thanks!
ChrisI think that CP3 sends back its data on a time basis, not a
slide
basis...like every 7 seconds or something?
We've had customers who are tracking interaction data in
their CP
quizzes which have like 40 questions. If they go through it
too quickly,
the timed 'save' to the LMS gets behind quickly...so by the
time the
user is done, only 2/3rds of the suspend data has been
saved...
And I imagine the bookmark could be left out entirely as
well.
So see if it's a timing thing? Go through slowly, see if
posting happens
on a timed basis...maybe that will help determine where the
issue is...
I do wonder how CP4 sends its data back...

Captivate and Canvas LMS by Instructure
Hi
Does anyone know if there is any info or procedures for connecting Captivate to Canvas LMS by Instructure?
Can it be done using LTI?
Any info whatsoever would be helpful.
Thank you!
MattThanks Tom. Have you any experience building a middleware app that would allow Captivate to talk to Canvas? Or have you heard of anyone doing this?
I received this response from Canvas:
"You will most likely have to build your own app (middleware) that can bridge the communication gap between Adobe Captivate and LTI. What is your programming language of preference? We do a lot of ruby at Instructure, so we have a lot of example ruby apps on github, if you wanted to use one of them as a place to start." -
Is there a possibility to make communicate captivate and storyline to make a project?
I would like to know if there is a posibility to make one project with both captivate and storylien? Cheers
Oui je suis francais. Il me semble que c est dans son ebook sinon dans "
mastering captivate 7". Je ne m en souviens plus.

Hello,
I created 2 sets of questions in Captivate using images and
roll-overs and correct and incorrect feedback. The first set has 3
questions, T/F, multiple choice and matching. The second set has 2
questions a multiple choice, and matching. I have the submit and
next buttons on the question. I used these questions last year in a
course that was published in Articulate and uploaded to our LMS
(Cornerstone) and I had no problems.
This year we revised the current course, I made text changes
to the questions in Captivate and published. After I import these
into Articulate, you can not see the corrective feedback text when
you select the correct answer, the incorrect feedback text will
always display even when you select the correct answer. I used the
Import .swf in Articulate to display in presenter window. If I
import and display in a new window, thew question works.
I am baffled to what has changed that would prevent the
correct feedback from displaying. Anyone ever hear of this and have
any suggestions on how to fix this or what I should be looking at
to fix this? You say nothing about the version of Captivate used to create
the courses. Obviously, "last year" indicates that either Captivate
1.0 or 1.0.1 was used, but it's rather important to know which. The
implicaiton of "this year" indicates you upgraded to Captivate 2.0
- is that correct?
Pending replies to the above, it occurs to me that the
problem does have to do with conversion of the original files -
specifically some branching seems to have gone awry. Let us know
what version of Captivate you used originally - and which you are
using now. Might not hurt to include the same info on the version
of Articulate Presenter being used.
Thanks.
