Captivate 4 not registering key input when recording a Virtual PC

I run Windows 7 64 bit with Windows Virtual PC running. I am trying to capture a session using a Windows 7 PC emulated machine, but as soon as I start recording and click inside the Virtual PC window, Captivate 4 no longer register any mouse or keyboard click I make.
The odd thing, my Colleage is able to make the exact same thing work on his machine, also running Windows 7 64-bit. But for some reason I cannot. What good suggestions are there to allow Captivate 4 to "see" keystrokes when running a Windows Virtual PC?

That being said, I should point out that you can reload pages in other ways.
* Right-click any tab and choose Reload.
* Right-click an empty area of the page and choose Reload.
* Press F5.
* Press Ctrl+R (Mac: Command+R).

Hi,
I am doing an extension of VO in iSupplier portal and there is a flow consisting of 3 pages to complete a task for creating an invoice from the PO.
I have done the extensions required in the local jdev and till the 3rd page in the flow everything is fine. When I click a button to proceed to the 3rd page - I get the mentioned error.
CacheComponent not registered (KEY=FLEXFIELD_METADATA_CACHE) (APP=FND)
But at the same time the page was working in Server when I deploy.
Any ideas about this
If I have to register the cache component then please provide me the navigation screens for the same (11.5.10.RUP6)

Using Functional Developer Responsibility also you can do this. 
Click on Functional Developer responsibility->CoreServices 
->select Application Object Library as Application name in the screen. 
->Click on create component button and give the following details to create component. 
-> Name -- FLEXFIELD_METADATA_CACHE 
Code -- FLEXFIELD_METADATA_CACHE 
Application Name -- Application Object Library 
Description -- Stores descriptive flexfield, key flexfield, and value set metadata. 
Loader Class Name -- oracle.apps.fnd.flexj.FlexfieldCacheLoader 
Business Event Name --oracle.apps.fnd.flex.dff.compiled;oracle.apps.fnd.flex.kff.structure.compiled;oracle.apps.fnd.flex.vst.updated

Any way to boost audio input when recording?

Hi; I have been recording speech interviews with Audio-Technica mics on a ProTools set-up and they've sounded great.
I've recently tried recording using the mics in Garageband using a M-Audio Mobile Pre USB, but the audio levels are always too low unless the subject is an inch or two from the mic, which isn't the best way to get quality audio.
Is there any way to boost the audio input when recording in GB or any other tricks people know of?

I'm actually having the same problem, except I'm recording straight into the computer (no interface).
I tried using an MBox, but the computer won't even recognize it...(if anyone's got suggestions for why that is, I'll gladly take them...).
My main question is the same as Charles's, however - how come the input level is so soft when recording using the "Built-In Input" (where I can use a mic, and have mobility) as opposed to the "Built-In Microphone"?

I keep getting ' user not register for online ' when trying to get track names for my CD imports for Windows 7 and I'm unable to find a solution.

I can't be certain exactly which steps are going to be needed in each case, but if you work through this in sequence hopefully one of the steps will prove effective.
First try this:
With iTunes closed.
Press the WinLogoKey+R
Type in %appdata% and press return
Double click on Apple Computer
Double click on iTunes
Delete the file CD Info.cidb
Start iTunes and try again.
If that doesn't work close iTunes and try deleting com.apple.iTunes.Gracenote.plist in the same folder.
If that doesn't work close iTunes and try deleting iTunesPrefs.xml. This will reset your some of your preferences in iTunes so be sure to check them and reset as required.
If that still hasn't resolved things close iTunes and try deleting the entire %appdata%\Apple Computer folder or look for parallel files/folders in the C:\Users\<User>\AppData\Local or C:\Users\<User>\AppData\LocalLow in case a corrupt file is persisting there.
Note that any iOS device backups are stored in the MobileSync folder within Apple Computer. Once things are working you should backup your devices again as soon as possible.
Or it might not be the preference files after all...

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

Input not routing through effects when recording

Hello,
I have a strange problem with Logic 8 all of a sudden. I can no longer hear my input during recording. The input is not flowing through the channel strip effects nor is it routing over to out 1-2 during recording. Everything works fine during playback, but not recording anymore. I am using Logic Pro 8.1, Macbook Pro OSX 10.5.2, Motu Ultralite. What happened was, I powered up the Motu interface at the same time Logic was starting up and received a few errors during startup. I clicked continue, everything seemed to be ok, but I now can't hear anything during recording as stated above. I tried reinstalling Logic to see if that would work but it didn't. Any help would be appreciated! TIA!

I took a shot in the dark and clicked "Initialize all except key commands" Under Logic Preferences and that fixed it. Not sure what happened, but for those of you who may encounter this, that is the fix.

Captivate 4 not detecting audio input from USB Microphone

I'm using a Logitech USB microphone in Captivate 4. When I try to calibrate it, Captivate 4 is not detecting any sound. It is set up properly. In the "audio settings" menu, this microphone is listed in the drop down list. I have selected it as the input device. However, when I try to "calibrate" this microphone, no audio is detectable. Captivate 4 is detecting the device, but not the audio input. I have double checked all the usual suspects--this microphone is selected as the default recording device. It does not use special software or drivers. It is designed to use the drivers in Vista. It works fine with other applications. I have made sure the input level is detectable. I've checked to make sure it is not muted. I have other microphones (non-USB cheapies) that work fine, but I can't get this specific USB microphone to work.
Suggestions?

2nd JFrame at Full Screen not registering key events

I've written an application that launches other applications distributed as JARs with a particular method (replacing the main method). These other applications run at full screen.
Whilst I have got these other applications to work in that they display correctly and do everything else, I require them to register key events. If I run these applications on their own (i.e. having not been launched by the primary application) then the key events are processed correctly. However when they are launched from the primary application the key events are not registered.
I have tried requesting focus from the full screen JFrame but it doesn't seem to be able to.
Any ideas?

Possible that the keystrokes are really being trapped by the other gui, which stops registering them when it's not visible.
IF that's the case, you'll need to re-design your keyboard trap as part of the second JFrame, wholly independent of the original JFrame or originating app. Also, it may be thread-starved i.e. operating off the originating program, which thread may be stopping when it has no focus.
That's all the ideas I have.

Data Entry Layouts - Rows not ready for inputs - Multiple records

Hi,
I have created a simple layout using a predefined simple structure for rows (FS Items) and a data driven one for columns (for the period value in LC).
Some cells show some data in them and are not available for input because there are multiple transaction records behind the numbers.
The transaction records share the same breakdowns except for the Currency Translation Indicator (it is empty for original records and shows '1' for records created during currency translation) and the currency key for transaction currency (sometimes it is empty).
It would be much appreciated if you let me know a way to introduce new data with layouts for FS Items (accounts) which already have transaction records.

Data may not be ready for input because of different reasons. The most I met were - you didn't expand the rows structure until the leaves (not nodes) or you marked the column as display only.

My internal microphone is not registering any input

I've tried adjusting the volume of the internal microphone in System Preferences>Sound but it still does not register as receiving any input. How do I fix this?

You've probably done all this but are these settings right? When I speak or snap my fingers I see input on the readout.

IPhone 4 randomly not registering first touch when loading page in Safari

I noticed lately that when my iPhone 4 (iOS 4.0.1) loads a new page in Safari it randomly sometimes does not register first touch if I try to scroll it. Afterwards everything is fine. Maybe page is still loading and lags somewhere in process. Anybody experiencing the same thing?

However they have 3GS but phones are running iOS4 as well leading me to think it's a software issue...

ERROR: Could not open Key.. when installing 9.1.0.79 x64

I get the following error box when trying to install iTunes 9.1.0.79 x64 on my Dell Studio laptop with Vista 64-bit:
Could not open Key: UNKNOWN\components\DA42BC89BF25F5BD0AF18C3B9B1A1EE8\7E577B2224C65CF4E801A9E5237 5DB49
I have no idea what this means. It keeps happening and I cannot run iTunes because of it. If anyone knows what to do please tell me I am going crazy.

I FIXED MINE!! This is what I did:
1. Select "Start", "Run", and type "RegEdt32"(for VISTA "regedit"). Click OK.
2. Select HKEYLOCALMACHINE
3. In the menu, select "Edit", "Permissions". A dialog will come up.
4. Check "Allow" for "Read" and for "Full Control", then click OK
5. Expand HKEYLOCALMACHINE and repeat steps 3, 4 for the keys "Software" and "System"
6. Expand the "Software" key, and repeat steps 3, 4 for "Classes"
7. Expand the "Classes" key, and repeat steps 3, 4 for "Installer"
8. If you have made any changes in steps 1 through 7, skip to step 10. If you did not make any changes, continue with step 9.
9.Open the "Classes" key, and click on "Installer" . In the menu, click "Security", "Permissions." Click the button marked "Advanced." Check "Reset Permissions on all child objects.", then click OK
10. Close the registry editor
11. Reboot the computer
then run iTunes install again.

Captivate 5 not working with LMS when linking to AICC published file

When we publish and link our Captivate 4 files. Everything works fine. Now that we've upgraded and tried launching the Captivate 5 files. We only get a loading screen. Can someone help us? We provide training for over 10,000 employees and train several departments to use Captivate for our LMS, but now with Captivate 5 not working it brings up a big issue for us.

This is with reference to the issue you are facing with AICC courses on LMS.
Please follow the steps mentioned below and let me know if this solves the issue for you.
1.       Close Captivate if already launched.
2.       Navigate to Captivate installed folder ( For Ex : C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 5)
3.       Navigate to folder “Templates”
4.       Open folder “Publish”
5.       Open folder “AICC”
6.       Rename the HTM file “default.htm” to “default_old.htm”.
7.       Download the zip the file from https://acrobat.com/#d=rZv8-z9C0z4PPMpqjbkZIQ , Unzip the contents and copy the HTM file “default.htm”
8.       Paste it inside “AICC” folder.
9.       Launch Captivate and open the project.
10.   Re-publish the project and upload the content to LMS.
Let me know if this solves the issue.

Macbook Pro Retina (July 2014) will not register TOUCH events when going through the AIR DEBUG LAUNCHER for MOBILE

I recently purchased a MACBOOK PRO with a retina screen and have started to transition to it as a primary work computer.
I have a game that is built on another Macbook Pro (non retina) that works fine in the AIR debug launcher for mobile but when I launch it from the RETINA device, the touch events seem to not register correctly.
Has anyone else experienced this issue?

To further clarify, it appears the touch simulator is cutting everything in half, maybe because of the pixel density?
